I can just give you a moral support as I'm in an elliptical orbit with Python, starting learning it several times now and then pausing it, then learning more than the last time, then pausing it again. I'm looking forward to working on some real-life applications at some point.
Thank you very much :) I feel like being on the mentioned orbit with programming in general. Hopefully I'll get deeper this time. So far, it feels like it.

(1/2) After working in IT for ten years (customer support, software trainer, project management) I finally got my head back into coding. Did some Java in university but never really got serious about it. Doing Python now and loving it. First small project is nearly done.
Any recommendations on how to continue after the first few tutorials? Frameworks I should get to know? Easiest way to making the connection to Ethereum and DApp-related development?
Would love to hear some opinions from my fellow peepers :)

I have to agree with @d2r2 unfortunately. The only reason I do not hold Monero, though, is the still lacking Ledger Nano S integration. As soon as that is out of the way, I will happily use #MoneroVision :)

It’s a front end feature. The next question, what about Spam you say? Free peeping is courtesy of the front end. Which means it can be taken away. Spammers can still pay to peep direct. (Even their own batches, but then that is even easier to filter/hide).

Wow wow wow! What's happening on the STEEM blockchain right now? I posted for the first time in like 2 months and in under 10 minutes ~95 random people started following me. I was ~70 and now at ~165...
I had around 10 people following me without ever making a single click within Steemit. I feel the whole 'number of followers has meaning' is even more established than on Twitter, since it is directly tied to your ability to earn money. I feel this is a negative @Schrodingers_cat

everything is senseless on a fast moving social network, even if you think you're an lyrical genius, no one will remember your tweet from 1 hour before :)
Does it have to be that way? The assumptions we make about social networks come from the big (and quite new) ones we are using today.

You hit the nail on the head for me by using the term 'senseless tweets'. One plus side of having a (relatively neglectable) fee attached to posting is that the quality of said posts tends to be less abysmal. Let us keep the senseless tweets on Twitter.

How long until we lose the ability to navigate? Satellite navigation has taken over much of that requirement. Trying to “hey Siri” whilst driving to make a phone call is a comedy of errors. I am not fully trained.
I feel I never had that ability in the first place.

When you need a break from computers I highly recommend working with old tech, like the ancient art of sourdough baking. These were made with my own fork off the lactobacillus chain.

What I have been wondering for some time now: Infura.io and the 'groundwork' they supply for Ethereum seems to be used a lot, by many different projects. Doesn't that somehow introduce a single point of failure?

Yeah, that might be it. I ended up registering the old fashioned way, through email address. It also offered registering through Facebook.
