Enjoy! Will you be live-peeping the conference? :)
I will try my best to give updates on a regular basis :)
On a train on my way to Berlin, quite excited to visit #DappCon tomorrow. Any speaker I really shouldn't miss?
In case anybody from this lovely community is there, hit me up :)

They *might* add them. The whole announcement seems kind of weird to me.

It is believed that Bucegi was a holy Dacian mountain of Kogainon, on which a deity called Zalmoxes lived in a cave. We didn't find the cave, but an abandoned chalet, just before descending cloud engulfed it. #acrossRomania
Thank you for sharing your journey.

Nice to see that Augur has officially launched- It was a smooth setup for me- seems like the world cup outcome would be a good first "prediction"
I don't seem to be able to buy or sell any shares on the platform. After confirming on my hardware wallet, nothing happens.
Creating my own market didn't work either, since Shapeshift doesn't offer ETH<->REP trades right now, so I lack REP tokens.
Am I missing something?
@brendha I swear you were a pug for like a minute. Are you messing with us on purpose? :P

Hey everyone! Hope your week is off to a good start. I've been thinking about doing a Kickstarter to help take Peepeth to the next level (good native app + Web2-level usability + better design, branding, and user education). Has anyone done one before, or have any thoughts?
I love that the idea of doing a Kickstarter seems closer to you than the idea of doing an ICO :P
On the same note, kudos to @vikmeup for the decision to not go through with yours and putting the project first. #lkie

Peepeth is a blockchain version of Twitter, but how about other dApps you guys use?
I did use Cryptokitties to get the hang of interacting with MetaMask, as well as smart contracts through the MEW/#mycrypto interface.
Nowadays, I like to put some Ether and a Cryptokitty on an Ethercard and gift it to friends or family. I feel CK works great as a point of entry.

Haha, I get it but I still think Eth for example cannot compare to what Bitcoin is right now. Not saying it's better, just different and not the same market. Do you personally think Bitcoin should always be the market indicator for what token goes up/down?
I think most people in the space agree that it should not need to be like that. But as long as most people are either in or out of 'crypto' (vs. 'Ether' or 'Bitcoin') and as long as most Ether is still bought with BTC, I think it will stay like that.

One thing in crypto that I've never understood... Why any tokens worth already on it's own network is still dependent on Bitcoins price.
@cryptostache beat me to it, so I just wanna add: I love Jim Carrey.

I have missed the easiest (and probably safer) way in my reply, ty @letterj. The difference between the two approaches is that your mnemonic seed phrase lets you restore all of the addresses from MetaMask, while a private key is just for that single wallet. @koba
@vikmeup How does Trust use the mnemonic phrase exactly? Does it simply import the private key of the first wallet or does it somehow replace the internal seed, so every new wallet will be identical with every new one in MetaMask respectively?
Are my assumptions even correct..?
Replying to @letterj (0x88250e06b3babee0cef47b0441456f8dc99e8de5)
I'm not familiar with Trust but you might look into restoring the seed phrase from your MetaMask account onto Trust. I started out using peepeth on Toshi and now am using it in the browser on my Mac as well. Just a thought.

How can I sign in as same account, laptop and phone? I'm using FireFox and Metamask on laptop, trust on phone.
You can export your private key from MetaMask and import it into Trust. This means that your private key will be displayed in plain text on your computer for a short while, though - so you should never use this particular wallet for holding funds imho.

I haven’t been to Antartica or South America yet.
I have been to Nicaragua (when I was a kid) and to Colombia (few years ago) and desperately wanna see more of South America! Next target is South Korea though, so it will have to wait a while longer.

I love living by the beach. We were living a Neighbours life style, now it’s more Home and Away. We are ten minutes walk to the beach, though next time we move I want to be closer.
That sounds amazing!
I wanna visit Australia some day. Only continent, apart from Antarctica I guess, that I haven't set foot on.

Jumping in to actual projects is how I've learned best. Tutorials are great when starting out, but applying those lessons to real problems is where the learning happens for me. Javascript is important for dapps and the web, too. Good luck!
I totally agree. I have a semi-serious project right now and it has already gotten me further than all the purely theoretical tutorials I did in the past. Thank you for your support!

personally i wouldn't mind seeing a blending of languages. :) those are the things that make us unique! been lurking just to focus on some more hands-on stuff -- art, new recipes, finding a job. no real great reason haha. what about you, @balresch?
Partly the language thing, partly work, partly the unusually good weather around here. But I have never been an active type on social media in the past. Trying to change that now and get a little more involved on Peepeth :)
I wish you all the best for the job hunt!
