@Bevan, I noticed that this is still small, I'm user #360? How about founders badges for the first 500 perhaps 1k users, but would have to donate at least $2 or higher to unlock. That could keep you fed for a couple of weeks.

Very interested to know how you have implemented #DM. Still lots of tweaks that could be done for core microblogging first. Especially on mobile. 🐧
You're right, there are many ideas but must prioritize.
When I left off, DMs were a cross between Twitter DMs and Whatsapp. Will likely make it less chat-like and more long-form.

@bevan what are your thoughts on making an option to have the tip amounts hidden? I'm thinking when people starting sending and receiving more, they may want to keep the amount hidden. Similar to Venmo's newsfeed which shows who is exchanging but not the amount.
Will consider this. Note that if you tip without leaving a message, it's not obvious to anybody but the recipient who tipped. However, it's still visible on the blockchain of course.

Tokenised reactions are interesting. It’s a monetisation strategy for peepeth, though the cost of transfer is too high on chain. Need to use state channels, and a peeper could buy a batch of reactions to use. I also like ERC721 NFTs as badges. Then achievements are tradable.

Good question. To embed a YouTube video, simply paste the regular link, as you attempted earlier (a bug came up today but is now resolved). Hashtag rendering has also been improved. @abcoathup

I thought that was a possibility... but others have actually just Peeped it without Tweeting. @Bevan any way we could get an indicator if a Peep had been Tweeted from the UI? Might be a cool metric to track in its own right anyway...

Embedly API appears to be having issues at the moment. Will look into backups.

#suggestion - is there a way to add any emoticons to a peep? For example, if we like a peep, adding a thumbs up/smile could let the person who peeped know without having to reply via peep. Emoticons could be offchain. That way they wouldn't add to the batch

The first time I tried it, it said the names didn't match. I just tried it again and I didn't get the same message so I went through with it. I rcvd the "60 minute verification" message so, I'll let you know if it worked or not

Good question. The Twitter info you entered for your invitation isn't actually used on Peepeth at all. However, you can verify your Twitter handle, or simply include it in your "info" section.

@bevan - I have an idea for your site. You can create a free ERC20 token at onhexel.com (only pay the gas) and use this token to give to people for certain reasons (# of Peeps, implemented suggestions, etc.) The only cost is the gas and it's pretty low (3 - 8 cents).
