Where is this?! This is where they filmed happy feet right?
I believe that's Betty's Beach in South Africa, near #CapeTown.

@bevan curious why the sea turtle as a default background? I love it btw, but wondering what made you say "hmm let's make that a sea turtle" haha
Haha. I'll keep this one a mystery :)

Hello, World!
Glad to have you here Joseph!
Taken at one of my favorite taco places, La Taqueria in the Mission #SF. Presumably for agua fresca.
Not today unfortunately.

First peep - and first question: Is there a way to add your ENS to your profile instead of the standard address?
Noted, thanks for the suggestions. @natestipe @abcoathup @veox

first post. gotta say, looks great and all, but not loving the name.. give a sort of peeping tom (from myspace) vibe
Will add a page for jokes related to the name :)
Breaking up my peep-storm with a little nature.
Not taken today unfortunately (rainy in the bay area).

@bevan #bug I get Internal Server Error when I attempt to peep the link to peepers.
Fixed, thanks for the heads up.

I want Markdown XD
@marumorio @abcoathup @jvck Currently, only very basic html tags are allowed (b, i, u). Am considering markdown too, perhaps as a "pro" feature. Something nice about letting ones' words stand alone, though.

Hello peeps, peeperth, peeparians? However, thanks for the invite! I'm happy to see more and more decentralized social media services popping up :-)

Out of curiosity: is there some sort of public roadmap for Peepeth? Or a list of things currently being worked on? If so, can we add/suggest features? I'm thinking about some kind of "favorite" mechanism, for example ;-)
Hey Pascal, yes, just let me know any features you'd like. It could take me awhile to get to any given one but I record them all and reprioritize regularly. And yes, "liking" is in the works!

Hadn't been rickrolled in awhile. But hey, I did choose roll :)

A peep can be flagged and is hidden, though still viewable on peepeth front end. I donβt know if anything goes on-chain yet for other clients. I donβt know if NSFW is the only flag.
No flags go on-chain yet. Considering options for that. Yes, NSFW is the only flag right now but adding more soon.

Just discovered Dapp, it's awesome! Anyone can recommend good resource/books to read on ethereum and Dapp?
Hey Karta, thanks for joining! Good luck with learning solidity. I found the examples on the Ethereum website helpful but can't think of a particular tutorial I used. The Zombies one is supposed to be very good though.

Thanks. That one's coming soon :)

@peepeth As you get your sea legs, let's think about what data people will want to use to trigger downstream apps. Maybe our developer platform https://www.slingr.io can quickly explode the use cases.
Thank you Grace. Will have a look at Slingr; appreciate you reaching out.

@brendan If you ever decide to re-brand Peepeth, don't go public on the name immediately: I assume this isn't you registering on #ENS?.. https://etherscan.io/enslookup?q=peepeth.eth

It's one thing for wealthy westerners to pay tiny transaction fees (and to buy Ethereum to pay them in the first place). It's quite another for people in the third world to do it, and they're the ones who most need an uncensorable network.
Hey Aaron! Glad to have you here.
Working to make Peepeth more accessible. The price to sign up and post is low but will likely decrease substantially. One idea is a community pool of ETH for those without. All suggestions welcome.

@Peepeth is breaking the rules of tradition. They make the u-turn when the sign says donβt u-turn. They hire the licensed plumber when someone refers a handyman. Making a path to lead instead of following. Inspiration starts here. Thank you @bevan and everyone. #plumberlife
Thank you, Matt. Appreciate you setting the tone. Looking forward to more #plumberlife pics too :)

I used Leeroy for a very very short amount of time. Every action was a transaction that took about 2 minutes to complete and then update. The concept was interesting but it was just truly unusable and a pain in the butt. Peepeth is 20 times better.
Leeroy pioneered the concept of stateless contracts and made Peepeth possible. Very grateful for @james' work.

@bevan Any plans on allowing users to transfer their account to another key? I didn't think it through and just used my usual MetaMask account instead of creating a new one.
Hey Balresch, thanks for asking. Yes that's possible but not implemented yet. I'm guessing it will be a little while though as there are a few things ahead in the queue.

I saw this as well! Do we know what happened here and why? Did they partner and move everything to Peepeth? I didn't actually use Leeroy, but I heard it was far more expensive to run effectively.
Peepeth would not be here without Leeroy. I discovered Leeroy just as I was about to launch Peepeth 1; and then rebuilt the whole thing with stateless contracts.
