I guess I should be more clear. I’m not wanting a less-blue light version. F.lux and night shift on macOS and iOS handle that automagically. I’m looking for something that is essentially inverted colors. See screenshot of Tweetbot as an example.
Yes, that would be nice too. f.lux does a nice job but that would be an improvement. Thanks for clarifying. @lex

First post on Peepeth. Cheers to those who had the brains and will to create this and Toshi. Looking forward to world where Twitter has some real competition.
Thanks for joining, Brian. Appreciate your kind words. Great picture!
It may be awhile before decentralized social media competes with Twitter in terms of numbers. My hope is that regardless of its size, Peepeth wins in terms of quality discourse.
All suggestions appreciated.

I'm an idiot....I copied the URL of my profile rather than the URL of the ETH address confirmation tweet. DERP...my bad. Thanks SO much for helping me! MY QUESTION has been answered. LOL
Thanks for verifying Jeremiah and for your patience. Will be improving the verification instructions.

I think I've read all my notifications, but the bell icon is still orange. "Would be nice" to get an indication of what's still unread. Colored left border, perhaps?.. #bugs or #suggestions (not sure)
Hi Noel, thanks for the suggestion. Better notifications is the works.
Currently, sending a message resets the bell. It's a holdover from Peepeth 1, which was completely on-chain. Will soon reset notifications on read, like Twitter.

Have the Peepeth devs considered whether pooling updates across users to reduce fees is possible?
Thanks for bringing this up Pieter. Would require state channels, a different way of batching. A possibility for the future.

Thank you @abcoathup and @bevan for any help. This is so neat.
Thanks for trying this! Looks like smart contract hasn't received your request. Have you completed "step 2" on the Twitter verification form? (Submit your Twitter ID and the URL of your Tweet). Will make documentation more clear.

Hexel appears best suited to communities which are not Ethereum based. E.g. Reddit/Discord/Telegram where you can award tokens to community members. As peepers must have an Ethereum address and use a browser with Ethereum injected then state/payment channels would seem better
Yes, and reluctant to build on a centralized service. State channels may be an option.

Deposited tokens depend on Hexel security. Just like a centralised exchange.
Thanks for looking into this. Cool looking service. Will consider for tokenized reactions.

I am on the Hexel Discord to find out how it works. I still think the idea of purchasing tokenised reactions and then signing as you use them is a definite possibility. I want to understand the Hexel implementation.
Thanks for investigating. All insights appreciated.

1/2 @abcoathup @Bevan - Community token creator Hexel (onhexel.com) rolled out a wallet feature for their tokens today which is similar to Coinbase. You have the option of adding tokens to your Hexel wallet and they make any transfers to other users off-chain.
Thanks for bringing this up Nate, will investigate.

@Bevan #bug I am not able to reproduce this well enough to be insightful, but on occasion when I click in the Peep box at the top of the page the textbox gets pre-populated with a Twitter verification message. This has happened several times now on different days. Anyone else?
Wow, interesting bug. Will investigate!

#suggestion @Bevan - 1) Is there a way we can delete notifications after we read them? 2) Is there way we will be able to search for hashtags in addition to user names (say - #dogsofpeepeth).
Hey Nate, thanks for the suggestions. Have added both to the queue.

Have contacted AMF about accepting ether. However, they need a Bitpay-like service to send them fiat. Hopefully that will change soon. Appreciate your support!

@bevan #suggestion Once at 15 unsaved actions and the batched transation is initiated you still have to wait for the confirmation to do new actions. I think once you made the batched transation, even if it is not confirmed yet you should be able to make new actions.
Thanks for bringing this up. I feel your frustration; when I want to peep it's annoying to have to wait for the TX to be confirmed. I'll be improving the batch-saving experience in a couple of ways. Will consider instant confirmation, but as @veox mentioned it can be gamed.

Thanks Jvck; will investigate.

Hello Peepeth community. Is anyone of you aware of any sustainable non-profit DAO, particularly in healthcare, currently in existence/development?
Hey Dmitry, welcome to Peepeth!
Good question. I'm not aware of any. Please let me know if you find compelling ones.
Awesome background pic. Haven't done Spartan race but would love to. @beth @keith
Thank you to @Skyler for being the next recipient of the Mosquito badge!
The Against Malaria Foundation has consistently been ranked as one of the most effective charities worldwide. It doesn't cost much to prevent a lot of suffering.

Thank you to Andrew @abcoathup for buying a Mosquito badge!
Mosquito nets prevent suffering. One net can protect a family for years. Costs $2 to buy+distribute a net through the Against Malaria Foundation. An important, tractable, & neglected problem.

Would there be a way to ban an ETH address outright? I think that could solve a lot of it once it happens, most of those idiots don't want to be caught, but there is a questionable image in the BTC blockchain along with eight other lewd photos.
Yes, good point. TOS under development. Account ban is possible on front-end.

I see the unlawful, but does one person's flag enable it, I know the chain is immutable, but wondering how that will work. I have friends that left steemit because of something similar.
Good question. Mechanism is under development. Flags alert admins; who can mark as nsfw. Illegal content to be removed completely from this front-end.
