For mobile dapp use I'm finding that #firefox with #metamask combined with #Trust can cover most use situations. #trust is annoying due to no address completion and no persistent tabs, but it can do some things better. https://google.com/search?q=metamask+firefox+android

Working on a fix - send us an address, we will send you more CACHE.

I also tried to create an avatar using trust wallet. It took 100 cache but still no avatar. It's the same address I'm using here. 0xE7d0aE1823582E5e6c3a0F9Bb0526d380b16edF4

Has anybody played this yet? If so, any initial thoughts? https://eth.town/

I looked at it on my phone. Seems expensive and complicated and i definitely need a bigger screen.

Wow! #metamask on Firefox on Android 8 sort of works but populates gas fields wrong. Https://Oasis.Direct may work. Also amazing: Ledger nano s appears to work with @mycrypto on chrome beta with a usb otg cable.

Hi, all on #peepeth I was reading TOS. And notice this. The term "divisive words" is very very generic. Anything can fit under "divisive words".

These are from some of Thich Nhat Hanh's teachings. Guidelines and suggestions as opposed to a legal document. Btw, can you link to that page? I'm trying to find it. Thank you.

Going to factory reset my iPhone. Got no free space anymore.

Is that a daylong+ project as with Android or has Apple somehow made that easier to manage?

Do any peepers have recommendations for using peepeth on mobile Android? Status, trust, toshi, . . . ? Just now cipher wouldn't load it. Bring on the Android web3 browser wars. Ledger support would be very cool.

Ok, cipher works too now. I do have the feeling others may be a bit faster than Trust.

Got my domain name kumaran.eth registered and set it up finally...

Is it possible to point it at a website as well as at an ethereum address? I see that https://ens.domains says it can point to a swarm site. Also, how much did it cost? (A lockup of .5 eth? Plus contract gas?) How might you lose it? Do registered domains become auctionable again?

@colinleath That was a very nice trip you had back in 2013/14 :) So strange to realize that in the summer of 2013 I too cycled through Serbia and to central Turkey. Our paths could've even crossed at some point.

Yes your photos reminded me of that time, though I never made it to Romania. I even encountered a few long distance cyclists. Every one should know about the Ecotopia bike tour, especially Europeans! https://twitter.com/biketour/status/1018565848271872001 @biketour

@bevan or @abccoathup is there a way to see all the #enso'd posts? No general search yet either? #enso. Thanks!

I've been attempting to dig up old wallets and have been using various mobile web3 browsers to do so. They list different dapps. In cipher I found cent. https://beta.cent.co/+uirc3e https://medium.com/cent-official/cent-income-from-anywhere-519515b396d8 It's a window to the world

Hey Collin, thanks for asking. The protocol is open, the front-end is closed. Plan to release open-source front-end at some point. For more on how it works: peepeth.com/how and peepeth.com/front_end

Thank you! I just found the links. Guilty of making noise instead of searching more carefully first. Two things I noticed: (1) your replies were not easy to notice when looking at my main page. Maybe show how many replies there are to a peep? (2) @colinleath is me, not collin

The ycombinator announcement addresses why parts of the code at least might stay closed source:
"What do you do when somebody posts death threats or child porn on your immutable social network?" Censor via front-end. Also, another find: https://www.reddit.com/r/peepeth/

Jul 23, 2018 18:24

Searching peepeth for the link to the source code. Not seeing anything on github. How does this thing work?

How does IPFS work? Who pays? Searching for that & for the peepeth github brought up some discussions of peepeth when it was first announced: news.ycombinator.com/item?id=16815967 and redd.it/r/ethereum/comments/87k9iz/presenting_peepeth_a_decentralized_alternative_to/

https://twitter.com/matt_odell/status/1020786261978763264 Matt Odell shares some privacy issues with peepeth. How dangerous is it to dox oneself here? Should peepeth recommend using a mixer or other anonymizer to fund the account you use to post here?

Jul 23, 2018 17:25

Exploring peepeth got me to compose a long peep--and then I realized how hard that could be to format correctly as in those tweet storms on twitter. So then I went and composed it using the twitter app. I guess I'd have to paste it here in reverse order?

Greetings from Goleta! Will this network prosper? The last I tried was akasha.world. I would love a dark theme, and a way to like more than one post per day as a way to bookmark useful ones. Impressed to see what is here so far. & I love the pointers toward mindful communication.
