My eth tx's don't seem to propagate through the network. Been an hour since I last put in my 3 gwei price tx. Can anyone help out? preferably in one message. I'll tip 1 usd.

Are you on mobile or desktop? If on desktop (MetaMask), you can resend the same transaction with an even higher gas price very easily. It should even give you a link with description to that right under the displayed transaction.

It's also kind of a beautiful demonstration of the freedom of decentralization; you *can't* stop them from doing this if they are willing to pay for it. We can only move forward and build a better platform. Reminds me of: https://twitter.com/VladZamfir/status/972134669767585795

The service he mentions doesn't seem to be used at all. Any idea why? Seems really smart.

RadarRelay just requires approval of the contract to move your ERC20s, no deposit required (although you do need to wrap your Eth into Weth)

Both end up with about the same risk, right? I have to trust their contract to be unexploitable. It shouldn't matter if I deposited my tokens 'into the contract' or gave their contract permission to access them from my wallet directly. Correct?

Exactly. And you don't even have to wait for it to go through to keep on peepin' - so 1 gwei should work, too. @pyroisntfire

The network has been messy for a few days now: https://etherscan.io/chart/pendingtx Some "POGO1" ERC20 is burning gas like Mad Max: https://ethgasstation.info/gasguzzlers.php

Yeah, I have been wondering what that is. The contract seems to send single tokens to just about everybody. Any idea?

Apr 19, 2018 14:24

@ayunknown , do you have experience with these (or similar) platforms? If not, may I ask where you are doing your trading?

Apr 19, 2018 14:13

Does anybody have experience with IDEX and/or RadarRelay for trading (not just buying once) through a Ledger Nano S?
I want to get away from having all actively traded tokens on Binance, so looking for better and safer options.

The Wire is the best series ever created in my opinion. Especially Season 3. BB I dunno never got into it. I got in late though so that had allot to do with it (already knew the storyline), but Westworld. Good googly moogly I enjoyed it, sans first 2 episodes!

Although talking about how good The Wire is has already become a meme by itself, I still have to agree. Openly. Forever on the blockchain. The Wire \o/

I have 1 metamask seed setup for both my phone and my wallet. Account 1 is for developing on the testnet, Account 2 is for financial dapps that I don't really want linked to my identity, and Account 3 is for social/game dapps. Cold storage is all on a hardware wallet, locked awaw

How do you get funds sent to account 2 without linking it to your identity?

Since we have many developers around, maybe somebody can share some insight: Why is ENS so rarely implemented? It works through MetaMask and @mycrypto, but a lot of wallet apps and dapps don't use it. Not to mention the reverse lookup. How come?

Do you guys realize, that Kaspersky Internet Security is blocking your site because of "Phishing"? I just got this info from a friend, who wanted to try it out. The screenshot is unfortunately only in German language. It says, that you'd been added to a phishing database.

Oh :/ @bevan
Joern, did you tell your friend to click the given link? That will hopefully start some kind of non-automatic process to get the page off the mentioned databank.

Income also comes from Verifications. There should be a "stuff" store, but I doubt @Bevan has the spare time to manage it. Premium frontend-features and supporter badges should also be options, again - Bevan is working hard to get the basics bug free.

In case this takes off and assuming we are establishing a healthy tipping mentality, as well as some other small income streams for @bevan , there will hopefully be more than one person working on it in the near future.

We understand that, I think. I'm just debating why we shouldn't want those solutions on a blockchain platform. If you want control over the data on a database, a blockchain isn't your database.

I think there are projects in which you don't want all the advantages of a technology, just some. Which could be possible by e.g. using a blockchain, but loosening the rules a bit. Which would give you some other advantages of e.g. regular databases/services.

There will always be room for hybrid solutions I think. We shouldn't block our own possibilities by blindly sticking to our own rules forever. I think (parts of) blockchain data could be encrypted at some point - and as long as only the owner of the data can kill it, why not?

Not being able to delete/forget stuff isn't an issue to work around, it is the whole point of the blockchain. We can still filter frontends however.
