Sure. It's a Pop Team Epic shirt which is a popular anime and manga. The anime was released in winter of 2018. It's hilarious.
Also the ウン the guy is saying is un (pronounced oon not uhn) which means "Yes".

That tee-shirt is ace. Egyptian god + anime + ??. Can you share a close-up pic of it, please?

I know that feeling. I love summer. Looking forward to getting more sun and spending more time outdoors. Almost time to plant.
New haircut. Ready for summer.

Huh, I didn’t know that, I thought it just referred to low quality specs. Heard it back in my web dev days, people would complain about the speed of their WordPress sites and the typical reason was that they chose a cheap server AKA one with the “computing power of a potato”
That too. Potatoes are versatile culinarily and linguistically. :D

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! The plague was awful, but there were a lot of times when the Middle Ages were pretty decent to live. In fact, better to live then in many places than now in many places (ie Somalia).
The Plague was ubiquitous across Europe and a death sentence for over half of the population. I don't begrudge anyone poverty but plague is a worse fate than that. I'm splitting hairs of course but I contest that argument for the blockchain. #History

Potato webcam?
Potato refers to poor quality like it makes you look lumpy like a potato.

Looks delicious! Could you describe the brown stuff? That'd normally be meat, for me. 🍖🐧
Looks like mashed black beans with cheese on top to me. Normally for me it'd be 2000 calories of queso.

I am not, and never will be, a techno-utopian.
The thing about Utopia is it's kind of different based on perspective. If you had polio in the 1300s France while the Black Plague ravaged the country during a major famine you would think now is the techno-utopia. There will always be problems but relatively things get better.

Not much. I’m getting into it again after taking it easy for awhile. So focusing more on form and less on weight. This time around my focus will be on overall fitness rather than just strength, although I’m still working towards 1 rep max goals. It’s great to be back at it.
Form over weight. The key to not getting injured. I'm glad you're taking the smart approach.

What's the best memory you have that involves a keyboard? ⌨
I was ten and it was 1994 around Christmas time. We had just gotten Prodigy internet and I was typing in Santa Claus to find out what various countries around the world had as myths about the ol Sandy Claws. It was my first time seeing images on the internet.

Thanks. I eventually found the post about it: https://medium.com/coinmonks/evolution-of-decentralised-social-media-dfe567d23e54 Who's paying peepeth, though? :) How are they monetizing the network?
My speculation is that we're still running off of the donations from the original donation drive. It's not expensive to pay gas as I remember doing it when I first got here. 15 peeps is a few cents. That may have changed due to the price of eth but it can't be much.

They're being paid for by peepeth.

Very interested in the concept of UBI lately. Been doing my own research but interested to hear others' thoughts. Could we respect people who live off a universal basic income? What could it change about society? (This should go without saying but, please keep convo civil!) >_>
I think the events would go as follows: Everyone gets $1000, rent goes up, utilities go up, consumer goods prices go up, and we would be paying that $1000 out to business that smell the money. Happens every time the minimum wage goes up. At least you wouldn't have to work for it.

Just arrived in Milan. Protip for young travellers in the EU: if you're under 23, you're not allowed to transport alcohol, even if purchased in duty-free. Goodbye Belgian special beer... (The real tragedy is that the nice customs officers can't use anything they confiscate)
So it just ages in a warehouse? I see a great comedy heist movie in the making based on this information.

If I recall, 500GB SSDs cost the company close to £1000 when they were new (first gens with all their issues)... plus a few months' wait time! Glad to hear they're much more reasonably priced now... kinda... makes you wanna... spin up another node with a new SSD... 😹
Now you can get a 500GB M.2 stick for about $100.

Was there some reason you couldn't eat breakfast?
I recently came off of a diet where I was restricting my meals so breakfast hasn't been a regular thing for over a year. Now I'm trying to put on muscle so I'm eating a lot more to keep up an anabolic state. Also loads of protein in my diet now.

That is a nice looking omelette. Is that sriracha on top?
Good catch. That is srircha on top. On an unrelated note I made some dynamite sauce which calls for homemade fresh mayo, masago caviar, and srircha. Looking forward to putting that sauce on everything because like the name it's explosively tasty.
I love being able to eat breakfast again.

Nap time now. Well done on the hit rate for bullseyes.
Thank you and about the nap: you're right. And when you're right, you're right. And you, sir, are always right.
Decided to do just a little archery. 4 bullseyes out of 20 at about 35 feet back. Getting back in the groove.
Archery or work on a project. I should work. I want to do archery. I'll probably end up taking a nap instead of either of those things. Funny how priorities work.

Good luck for tomorrow.
Thank you. :D
Lunches for the next ten days vaccuum sealed and ready to be sous vided sitting in the freezer. Took about an hour. Prep work done so now all I have to do is fill the water up, turn the sous vide on, and come back when I'm ready to eat.
I had some scaling done on my teeth yesterday. Basically it's dremeling all of the nasty stuff off of your teeth. Was painless because they injected me with novacaine. The only worrying part was the novacaine paralyzed my face for about 4 hours. I have to do it again tomorrow.

Incredible how a few days of missing gym, sleep, and real food unravels you. Energy, ability to focus, ability to be happy, desire to socialise, hope/ambition for future. On the positive side simply getting those 3 things right pretty much means you can handle anything.
Get your basics in, bud. They go a long way.

I used to love archery as a kid but never practiced seriously. I recently read Zen and the Art of Archery (short and available for free online), which is where I learned it can be used as a meditative exercise. Do archers develop muscle imbalances?
I'll have to pick up that book. Sounds intriguing. I imagine there would be a little bit of muscle imbalance as you're basically doing a row with one arm at the weight of the draw of the bow. Depends on how heavy the bow is and how many arrows you shoot how bad that could get.

#lkie I'd love to take up archery. Do you enjoy it as a sport, a skill, or a meditation? Or some combo of the above.
I don't hunt. It's mainly a skill. There are aspects of meditation to it but I've never thought about it like that before. You kind of feel the shot as your aiming so a kind of flow state. Also I use a recurve so you feel the tension in the bow. Decent upper back exercise.

I thought you were vegan. And not a cannibal. :P
Tried to do a little archery practice just now but my only arrow rest partially broke while I shooting my first ten arrows. Winter wear I guess. I bought a pack of five and should be here in a couple of days. Did well knocking the rust off though.

I think it has a lot to do with viewing sociology as a team sport. He railed against individualism to prove that point. He doesn't realize that in homogenized groups there's going to be massive heterogeneity. He wanted everyone to be like him which is a personal issue for him.
It's just messed up that he had to kill 49 people to deal with his own existential crisis.

But yeah, was really dumb too that he thought actual genocide would combat (passive) "white genocide". Like sure, go and shoot up a sacred place, that'll make everyone feel real safe & keen to have babies!

My interpretation of the manifesto (haven’t seen the full video) was a little different. I don’t think he was crazy. I think he had access to his full mental capabilities. He wasn’t a psychopath. He was a regular guy like any NZ/Aussie who hung out on /pol/ far too much.
I'm not going to watch the video. Cold manifesto words on a page I can analyze. Horrific acts of violence for their own horrific sake are bad for the mind. I guess crazy was the wrong word. He broke so many societal norms that he's an aberration. It does lose it's punch to say.

We can and must try to prevent these things from happening. To stand idly by as hate foments is less and less understandable in today's world. I will try to do my part in spreading positive energy and taking action.
That's the only path we can take. Try to do good when others do evil.

I’ve been thinking about what happened in #Christchurch all day and I have 3 conclusions. 1. Any Kiwi/Aussie guy is capable of what he did 2. It’s possible to be logical/competent in many ways yet base your worldview off a false premise 3. He wanted significance, & he got it
I read the manifesto this morning into the afternoon. It's a delusion of grandeur of how to combat lower birthrates with actual genocide. The guy was methodical in his approach. Crazy as hell. He wanted a world wide reaction in deadly action. The guy is certainly chaotic evil.

That's legit! I did not peep (or taste) any though. Also it was rainy season; maybe people keep their cassava bags stashed for the summer :)
That's a good point. I didn't think about how humidity or an avalanche of direct water would have on the bags. It's supposed to taste bad so I'm curious about what it tastes like. Like how bad and in what way? One of those things I would need to go to Bali to experience.
