Thanks @theoldsparrow! I shall be sure to pass on the compliments to Shadow.
Please give Shadow chin scritches for me. :D

Nice. Moving in that direction myself. What time is your big meal?
Usually around 7pm. The great thing about one meal a day is that you don't eat for the majority of the day and then you can have one big meal. Seems axiomatic but it works wonders. For example I had two McDonalds hamburgers yesterday for my meal which normally would be bad in a three meal a day set up if that was my dinner but since it was my one meal I just now woke up and weighed .9 pounds less than yesterday.

#ShadowTheCat amongst the fargesia #bamboo and miscanthus #grass. Monitoring the situation. Very intently. 👀 #gardening #CatsOfPeepeth
Shadow is so adorable.
I've been doing well with one meal a day. My body is finally in the rhythm of eating less food. Feeling good.

If we are living in a simulation the question "why was this simulation created?" is a fun one. And what stimuli (papers,humans,..) in this simulation might be inserted to control it.
I've thought about this before and my most interesting answer would be emotions. It's all a big what if but what if all life comes from a dimension of psychopaths that feel nothing and life in this dimension is a video game to fall in love, or feel pain, or taste cake?
Morning peeples. Body fat % is going down. Just have to stick out this cut.

#lkie Sounds like fun! Sorry you didn't get to test your archery skills. Reminds me of Puy du Fou, a historical theme park I visited as an exchange student in France: https://www.puydufou.com/en/la-cite-medievale
I had a good time. The Puy du Fou sounds like it's on another level though. I would love to see that.

I'm curious about them, but I'm not trying one until they make one that is a little healthier. They are still, very much, a processed food. http://www.greenmedinfo.com/blog/gmo-impossible-burger-positive-carcinogenic-glyphosate
That is a worrying article. I might have to pass on the burger then.

Have you tried an impossible burger yet? I keep reading that they are getting quite popular.
I need to try that. I don't even know if they've rolled them out to my city yet.

Getting stuck on the stocks is always a nice (temporary) experience... :)
I'm going to open a store that sells custom tailored stocks to the world at large. I'll call it The Stock Market.

And they still committed crimes? That's dedication.
The longer I live the more I realize people are smart in their moments and people are dumb in their moments. When the worst of us comes out there will be repercussions. Hopefully the worst of us is negligible but shame only goes so far and in the end there must be punishments.
Replying to @CelsiusNetwork (0xe34bee2c2b7391b946d8666d842ddd677aafdc84)
No, you're great! BTW what are you building in that photo?
It's a photo op in the local stocks. In Britain one of the punishments for crimes was being locked into an implement that kept your body bent and head and arms in place. It really was a bad time. You couldn't do anything while locked in like this and you had to accept the rotten food being thrown at you and as well as what we would think unthinkable in modern times but possible sexual assault and worse.

Did you manage to pay anyone in crypto there? ;)
Being stuck in the middle ages means everything is web0 fiat. Had to go to the totally middle ages ATM to get cash out to pay for the ciders. There is certain vendors that have newer middle ages credit card payments. In short no crypto in the middle ages.
Thank you @CelsiusNetwork for the enso. You're great. :D
I went to the Renaissance Festival yesterday here in Atlanta. Had a good time. I may have had a few ciders and enjoyed some music. The archery was bad. Arrows all out of wonk and only a 20 pound bow. Traffic was crazy though. Still it was fun.

"Should" is a weird word. The word "should" happens entirely in our heads and only crops up when our thoughts of reality doesn't match reality.

Fresh ginger steeped overnight in hot, but not boiling, water. Add the juice of 1/2 lemon and a spoon of honey to serve.
A ginger tea sounds nice. I've never tried it. Is there a spiciness to it like regular ginger or is that feature cut by the water and the steeping? The lemon and honey sound like good additions too. Sourness notes and sweet overtones.

@theoldsparrow Earl Grey tea steeped for 5mins in boiled water add 1/2 tsp honey and whole milk. Steaming scent of bergamot and taste of black tea to start to the day.
That sounds delicious. :D
Just sitting down for tea. What's your favorite morning beverage and how do you prepare it?

That looks great. I would buy that.
The new dye for my beard is terrible. I should have gone with the original dye that I use. You know what they say: buy nice or buy twice.

Nice. Is it the doorway kind? I read somewhere to do X every time you passed through. Seemed like a good idea.
Yeah It's one you hang on your door. Have to keep the legs up while using it though. Makes leg raises harder to do without hitting the floor with your feet.
Thank you for the enso @galoisconnection

The new 24-hour pull-up record appears to be 7600.
I got my pull up bar the other day. I'm going to try it out today as part of my lift routine and see if I need resistance bands for assistance.

Nice. I finally got some vidalias too- sautéed them and deglazed with a little white wine. Really good.

Blow torches sound like the most fun kitchen tool. A lot more of my dishes would have a nice sear to them if I had one.
They're pretty cheap and use inexpensive butane like zippo lighter fluid. I got mine off amazon for $25 and the fuel is less than $4. I just used it at dinner to melt the cheese on my tacos. Eventually I'll get around to making creme brulee. Maybe on the next bulk.
Got my Creativity badge. #23. I feel like Jordan. Is the numbers just by when you donated?

Didn't know you could sous vide shrimp at all- thought it was more of a 2-minutes on the stove top kind of thing.
And then quickly into a ice bath. With sous vide you don't have to do that but you do have to sear them. It's fun using the blow torch to sear them though. I'll remember from frozen it's half an hour in a preheated sous vide bath so they don't come out mushy.
Family coming into town tonight. Going for sushi.

Same problem when sous-viding (is that a word?) duck breast. Too long makes it livery, not good at all. Whereas you can keep beef as long as you want in the warm bath.
I use sous viding but it's probably more apt to say sous vide bathing. I love duck. I rarely get to eat it though. It's like chicken but with a layer of fat on it like a ribeye. I'm beginning to realize the differences between slow cooking and sous viding.

That's the thing. I did cook them in the sous vide but I was testing if they could be cooked for a couple of hours instead of thirty minutes. Came out really mushy instead of rubbery. Still tasted like shrimp but the texture was not on point.
I made up for it with dinner though. Sous vide burgers which I seared on the charcoal grill. That was delicious. Perfectly medium through and the flavor of smoke on them from the charcoal. Also sauteed a Vidalia onion to throw on it. Went well with sweet potato fries.

Ha, I’m glad it hit a nerve. One of my biggest wakeup moments of the past year was that I didn’t come into the world, I grew out of it. Our minds like to think they’re above our bodies but in reality they are inextricably a product of our biology. Happiness = following cues
I agree. The mind body connection is intrinsic. I'm not sure where or when the separation happened but it's become normal to think of consciousness as on a different level than the physical world when it's just another facet of it.

Nice. Doing front squats today. A slog.
Man. Concentration curls are a lot harder than standing curls. I normally do 35 pound curls but I had to drop down to 25 pounders and I still was failing sets. Great pump though. My biceps are full of blood right now.
I think today I'll switch standing curls for a deload and concentration curls.

Got me thinking about old games. Anyone remember Lemmings? http://www.crazygames.com/game/html5-lemmings
I spent hours and hours on Lemmings as a kid. Ended up beating the game and then going back through all the levels making all the lemmings explode in interesting ways all at once.
