Thanks @arf! She is a Russian Blue Breed #kittty, & her name is Onyx! 😎
So pretty. Named after the pokemon or the stone?
Bob always seems to know when I'm feeling low and displays his feline affections appropriately.

Condolences @theoldsparrow. It will get better with time. But feelings of sadness and loss for someone close is absolutely normal. No need to rush through the emotions. Hang in there!
Thanks, bud. Just getting through it right now. Things are tough. Thank you for the kind words.

Hope everything's ok!
It's not. It will get worse before it gets better. Family stuff. Losing someone. It will be better eventually but it's complicated for right now.
Had a bad night last night. Hopefully today is better.

I know that feeling! Just landed back home late last night here. I'm back home for a few days, then flying back out again. Phew!
Recharge best you can before you have to leave again, friend.
Finally home. Time to relax a little bit.

About to get back on the road back home.

Congratulations!!
Thank you. :D
Made it to Knoxville. Did my obligatory IT work but computers are working fine now and just visiting now.
Broke the plateau today. I got below 185. 184.2 to be exact. It's good timing as I'm going away for the weekend and will probably have little control over what I eat for the next few days so if I gain a little it will be okay.

Where are @pluma and @kumaran these days? What are you up to peeps?
Cooking and working out as usual. My aunt is in a bad way so me and my mom are going to visit this weekend and clean her house.

Happy :) I'm enjoying the retro-sounding Greta Van Fleet and I'm about to go to refuel myself.
That's good. What's the fuel?
Just sitting down for tea. How are you today?

@jm9k Have you made the turmeric drink again (jamu)? Going to try this today: https://drhyman.com/blog/2018/04/10/turmeric-super-shots/
Good timing. I got my curcumin concentrated from tumeric yesterday. I'm going to give it a few days to see how the supplement works on my body.
Made ribs again. This time sous vide temp was 152 for 24 hours. Came out even more tender than 165. I think that's the sweet spot for temperature and time.

How's the cut going in general? I've dropped some weight since cutting back on my eating window. Also going to be cutting out fructose once this watermelon is gone :)
Cut is going okay. I seem to be accidentally recomping. I can't get below 185 but I'm losing size so I'm losing fat.

I've given #ShadowTheCat the Best Seat in the office. He's come in, walked all over the desk and taken my seat. I'm using the hard ol' wooden chair now. Typical... 😹 #CatsOfPeepeth
Cat is going to cat. If it fits it sits.

Maybe just go with half a can at a time if he can't control himself.
He usually gets the leftover bits at the bottom of the can but as an occasional treat he gets more.

Good boy! 14th time's the charm! 😹 Happy birthday #BobTheCat, from #ShadowTheCat too! ♥️ #CatsOfPeepeth
Be sure to give your lovely cat plenty of love too. Shadow is a cutie.
Thank you for the enso @abcoathup :D
Thank you for the enso @arf . He's actually surprised me in not throwing up by now but he had his tuna and is keeping it down and enjoying his birthday.
Sure. Here's Bob the cat. He's 14 years old today. He deserves a can of tuna to himself for his birthday even though every time he eats a whole can I have to clean up vomit because he eats WAAAAaaay too fast. Worth it though to me and him.

I made quesadillas for lunch. Giving myself a cheat meal today and then back on the cut.

Great. "Gunpowder green tea" sounds too powerful... Chinese tea? I guess I've never tried it.
Yeah Chinese tea. It's not too strong. There's a hint of fruity sourness if you steep it with just boiling water instead of letting the water cool to the right temperature. Sometimes doing the wrong way tends to taste better.

Which anime? :) I don’t collect much of anything. But I’ve started collecting CryptoKaiju figurines. They’re NFT friendly.
The figure is of Akari Kawamoto from March Comes in like a Lion. Modern figure making is fantastic. The detail of the sweater could not be done even five years ago.

Doing alright. Excited to be working on Insight credits today. Nice to feel enthusiasm add the previous stage of development was a slog. How's your day going?
Going great. Another one of my anime figurines came in today. Just more for the collection.
How are you doing today everyone?

That is also an ideal of mine. In normal life, it's easy to forget. I don't know how realistic it is to ask a modern human to be present at every moment-have you been able to achieve that?
Thoughts crop up naturally. Plans for the future like what ribs will taste like in 16 hours or music will remind me of something that happened years ago. The main thing is to refocus on the now when that happens.

Ah, I agree. As a side note, streaks still have to be ameliorated. I wasn't even thinking about them when I asked the question. Rather, was wondering what a platform without timestamps would look like. Perhaps without any kind of temporal ordering of top-level posts. Kind of hard to imagine but interesting to think about. How would it be used?
Well the only other dependent system is ensou. Those are going to be time dependent. When there is likes over the lkie hashtag that will be phased out. Everything else is fluid. It just depends on how fluid you want to make it, Bevan.

What if the time aspect of Peepeth were removed?
I would probably post less but more objectively the phenomenon of people starting a streak and disappearing when they first mess their streak up would be different. Not necessarily better or worse but definitely different.

ever put the BBQ sauce in the bag while it's in the sous vide? I used to do that. Then grill it afterward.
I didn't try that this time. I used a rub on the ribs and then added some liquid smoke and apple cider vinegar for acidity. That was in the bag while they cooked for 16 hours which is part of why they came out so tender. It's grilling season so next time I'll be sure to add the sauce directly. Thank you for the suggestion.
After sous vide bathing for 16 hours, resting a good chunk of the day in the fridge, and grilled with plenty of BBQ sauce I can say the sous vide ribs were quite the success. They're tender like they've been in a smoker for 24 hours but super juicy.

I've never had sous vide ribs before. I don't think I've ever had sous vide anything. I'm going to have to get one of these gadgets one day.
This is my first time sous viding ribs. I'll know tomorrow how they turn out. You still sear meat after a sous vide bath and these guys are going on the grill for several round of BBQ sauce. I'm going to get the grill going, finish the sous vide burgers, then sauce the ribs, grill until the sauce is dry, extra layer of sauce, grill until dry, and then last layer of sauce and serve. I hope they're as tender as smoked.
Two racks of ribs are in the sous vide bath getting ready for tomorrow. 16 hours at 165 should do the trick and then it's off to the grill. Also have burgers in vaccuum bags ready to be sous vide bathed while the ribs are resting.

How would you answer "how to live?" in a single peep?
Realize that you are living in the present moment ALL of the time. Keep centered on now.

My neighborhood has a communal pool. I think I might go for swimming this weekend.
