Pull-ups today. A slog.
Pulling the bike uphill for 1200m altitude, but I don't mind when the scenery is so beautiful!

Nice! Did you forage those figs? What's in the bread? I hear you about the reset. It seems like living out of your saddle bags would recalibrate your "what-matters-o-meter" pretty quickly.
Just 2 slices of pizza from the other night and the figs from home, enough for both of us to start the day at full speed. Picking fruits from the side of the road and sleeping under the stars is such a powerful feeling.

It's that time of the year again, a bit later than our usual, but here we are. The (new) bicycle wheels are turning and @cyan and I are on the road again. It's getting dark around 6:30, both unusual and pleasant, as it will mean we'll be asleep before midnight on our #Yugo19 trip
And the early breakfast is such a feast when we are on the road! Love the reset that comes with each trip, forcing me to reassess priorities.

A helpful cue for me is to fully "accept" whatever I'm feeling (which, when meditating, is usually a feeling of resistance, or "why the hell am I doing this again?"). Doing that (at any time actually) helps bring up my state a bit. There's a book called Letting Go by Hawkins that explores the technique further (it's a bit "out there" but useful).
Very helpful advice, Thank you!

Started some light meditation exercise and it's like I can find my footing but also find out I don't know how to stop all at once. If you have advice for a beginner (for example what was the best advice you got when you started out) I have lots to learn :)

Oh wait, I just realized it's free to post updates now?
It's interesting to join a community where the incentive is not just to push content by the volume, and peepeth has good ground on this. Question is - besides social approval (likes) and advertising, what can we do with this medium?

Hmmm, but what about those who are starving. Where is our science. We have enough food and medicine to save everyone. Yet war prevails. Science is bullshit without love. In fact, science, without love, is evil. Science is agnostic. Science is nothing. It is empty.
Science is just a method of making sense of the world where instead of storytelling and misticism we rely on repeated observations to explain the past and make predictions. It's as beneficial or damaging as the intentions of the person wielding it.

People are starving in undeveloped regions that don't have acces to science or resources. You're saying science is evil because it's not spread enough to reach every corner of the world? Or that approached with bad intentions any tool becomes a weapon?

I do agree re. momentum, but I think we do have natural tendencies. Better than trying to change your brain is to embrace it and find other people who can balance you out.
Most natural tendency is to grow and adapt; can happen by carefully choosing your enviroment and people, not just by going against your present nature. So just bc you're not good at something now doesn't mean it's not something you would enjoy doing in 5 years..

#unpopularopinion Science has done nothing to improve humanitarianism. It has improved quality of life, but it could be argued that our humanitarianism is actually decreasing. Science so far has been a short term fix. We treat each other the same we did 10,000 years ago.
Say this to the mothers that don't have to prepare their kids' funerals bc we have vaccines, water standard, heated homes, no famine in the modern (science-equipped) world. I think most people feel way more charitable with full belies&no vindictive gods ruling the world = science

One day... and until then @cyan and I will try covering some of these closer places on our bicycles this summer 😅
Some very tough decisions need to be taken before this - there's no way to get to see all these historic sites in one summer, but how to decide which ones to prioritize? Visiting by geographical proximity or historical era?! O_o

The onions in this picture look like something out of my grandma garden (growing with only sun & water). The larger versions I saw are always from industrial farming, and are usually less nutritious (since they need to grow larger, and faster).

The onions I've found in Germany are generally much smaller (golf-ball to pool-ball size) than those found in the US. Anyone know why that is?

But I thought religion was banned in Russia. Is there true freedom of religion now in Russia? Sorry for my ignorance. Is Russia now a free, democratic country?
There is independent religion and there is state religion used as #political tool. If your priest is promoting the party after the sermon I see no reason to ban that priest or his religion.

I've said it before so I'll say it again. This is all Descartes fault. Giving people the false idea they might exist. It's political correctness and health and safety gone mad.
Simulation or not you can't deny we are meat using energy to move around and oxidate, while naming things left and right - this is simulation, this is up, that is down, etc It is a strangely amazing fact, no matter what matters.

I'm not saying Australia doesn't exist. I'm just saying I need more evidence.
..and what is "existence" anyway?
Actually this one in particular makes me sad bc it's just one type of grass (probably not even specific to the area), so no diversity to plants, needs too much maintenance and is not bee & bugs friendly. Cost more, does less, and it's quite boring looking.
And when you compare people to objects (reducing complex behavior to just one aspect) you're objectifying ppl, and it's not doing anyone any favors.
What is with all the hate today? Any problems bothering you home?

That is the Duomo in the back, so picture was taken in Florence, Italy. The building you referred to is renaissaince style, from around 16th century.

Curious minds click to see what is going on under a certain tag. But in general peepeth is about positivity, since all the other places already covered the hateful and divisive discourse. How do people look at naked pics under the nsfw tag? Same way - if you're into it you click.
