Good idea. Considering options for this, thanks for bringing it up.
Maybe the extra UI element only pops up when you need to save? Even just alongside the message that already pops up telling you when you have reached 15 actions? It's just not that user friendly to have to navigate away...
@Bevan, did you make the Peepeth logo? MrP :-)

So quick question. I stumbled in here initially by accident but fell in love with it since being here. I was using Toshi mobile app. Is there any other preference for iOS? Or is that preferred at the moment?
You have lots of choices, and they all seems to work well. You can move your seedwords/private keys between all the main options - Trust wallet, Cipher, or Toshi. Give them all a try and let us know which you prefer. The devs are all on Peepeth!

Search for username. You get a popup with the user info and background img... problem is the info is hard to read on many backgrounds. (Try mine... yours isn't TOO bad.) Maybe the whole div apDetailsHolder should have the background for legibility?

Thank you. Should work now.
Perfected. :-)

@Bevan #suggestion I think there should be another "save to blockchain" button - maybe smaller and just a lock symbol somewhere on the top nav bar. When following people... either from the See all or your own followers page - you have to navigate back to the main page to save.
Alternatively, maybe follow actions should not count towards the activity total?

@Bevan - New feature #bug. 1) Main page 2) click any image - opens the convo view. 3) click the image again - opens the image larger with red background 4) press ESC key - BUG - red background disappears... stays on screen / or blank image appears...
It should say *image* stays on screen.
Reproducible in Brave browser and Firefox on PC.
Not a big deal, but mentioning it while things re the new feature are fresh in your mind.
Love the new feature!

Some people spend their "fun money" on drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, or video games... I spend mine on #ethereum.... Pretty sure my wife would rather I do drugs.. XD
Oh... you only use "fun money"? You're a more disciplined man than most of people I have interacted with who invested in crypto.
Your wife will come around in a few years, I think. ;)
* Don't forget peeps are a big part of commercialized Easter...
* Just here, hanging out with my peeps...
* I never said a peep!
* I wasn't peeping!
This could get ambiguous... in a way some other microblogging platform names cannot... That makes it more fun, doesn't it...

OK.. Totally not a shill, but PoWH3D is quite possibly the most hilarious thing to happen on the Etherchain to date. I can't stop laughing, at their site, smart contract, the whole project. Thank you to whoever posted about it first here! ;) powh.io
I think it's in the spirit of several "ludicrous" open pyramid schemes. If it's openly a pyramid scheme... should we call it an investment game? ... Some of these have ended up being "hacked" before people could exercise their ability to exit... fwiw.

first impressions, peepeth is clearly leeroy on steroids
Welcome, Cruz! I'm glad you made it!
Cruz worked on a Leeroy to Twitter reposting bot in the good ole days... like a few months ago.
Warm round of applause for all the devs and tinkerers out there.

Can you edit a peep before it is locked?
That is on @Bevan's very long to-do list. He'll have to tell you exactly how near the top...
I second this request... you can manually tally them via the
Follow - "See all" link...
but just having a total, even on a page apart from the main UX would be cool to watch grow.

Your site is so informative, I'm sure I'll be checking it out many many times. Thanks for your work. Everyone should checkout callmegwei.com
Thank you for that. I've been on an extended international trip, but will be back to writing again very soon.
Does either IPFS or Peepeth log ip addresses when a peep is posted?

Made a super basic, read-only client for Peepeth to demonstrate how cool all of this is š doesn't touch the Peepeth servers, reads confirmed posts from the blockchain and IPFS: https://ipfs.io/ipfs/QmQwNcHfjEXndwagt8ECp3hEXcfCtBJwmNoiKkNXyhs9pG
Some day, James... I will shake your hand.
The things you do with your spare time are really awesome.
@Bevan, I used your /r/ethereum post to invite /u/vbuterin to join us here and use your platform and its Twitter-reposting feature. Not like he and I are tea-drinking buddies or anything, but every once in a while he does respond to me. Fingers crossed. He's cool to have around.

Thank you Sanmari! Really appreciate the exposure. Would love to get more Japanese speakers on Peepeth. So far there are more articles on Peepeth in Japanese (2) than in English!
I'll be working on remedying the imbalance shortly.

I actually knocked a mug up with the logo on last night. Used an image from google for it (Ideally a higher res image would be nice). Came out ok, been waiting for pics to be re-enabled so I can post it here.
@Bevan... give your fans some hi-res images we can use for promotional purposes... please. :-)

@bevan is there a timeline for iOS and Android standalone app realeases?
I'm wondering if this is a good idea... then @Bevan has to write a wallet from scratch? And new users says "cool" but then they can't use their peepeth wallet for any other dapps? Ideally, it seems like we need os support for crypto identities...

Hope me doing this was OK @Bevan ...... No infringements intended, I did it for fun. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bg86V26Bqxq/
You two should collab on merchandising, I think he prob has enough going on without having to streamline selling mugs. Very cool!
@James - so glad you're here.
Awesome of you to promote Peepeth on Leeroy. I won't ever forgot my first true blockchain microblogging love and the dev that made it happen. I hope these "experiments" you guys pioneered disrupt the entire social networking space and their revenue
@Bevan - I DM'd you using your top secret alpha DM feature... email. š
You know what would be cool... is a public list of everything in your development queue and how they're coming along. For motivational purposes. Maybe we could even use some ETH to shuffle the list?

I'm in love with this project! (As I was with Leeroy) - just traveling at the moment, so my writing and blockchain space involvement have both suffered a little for it. Glad to see you here, too!

Sorry all, my bad. The first Ben's transaction didn't go through. Peepeth should have prevented the account creation anyway through a server-side validation (which was faulty). Also, should have explained this possibility and suggested a higher TX price for signup. All in the Q.
Who gets to be the "real" @Ben? Also, shouldn't this be rejected in the smart contract somehow? Since alt front-ends will, no doubt, eventually pop up - shouldn't unique handles be guaranteed everywhere? Please don't let the @vbuterin scammers register 1000 identical names!

Welcome Deez! Dang, when I write the Peepeth manifesto I'll let you know!
I want to know, too ;-)
@Bevan peepeth.com should be registered as a Brave publisher https://brave.com/publishers/ So when people visit via the Brave browser the site will get some BAT tokens too. The more time they spend here the more BAT tokens the site will earn.
@Bevan would be nice if typing the @ symbol pulled up the list of users I follow (and narrowed down as I typed) like Twitter.
Should "Friends" in the top nav bar really say "Following" ?

For now. Bevan is considering another way, I think. It would be nice to have a cheaper option, imho, so more of the world can participate. Repeeping is cheap though :-).
Also, is there a repeep "counter"?

I assume new tab is everyone. I assume friends is who you follow.
Got it. Seems exactly right. Intuitive, even. Coming from Twitter I just wasn't thinking about it straight. Thanks!
Does who we follow matter at this point? Because I was seeing messages from people before I followed them. Just confirming.

**If I click on "see all" under the follow section... I am able to follow myself.**
If I follow someone and then unfollow that someone - the action is removed from the batch rather than being saved as two actions... perfect.

This might look like self promotion - but I'm just checking if typed website addresses become links: CallMeGwei.com or https://www.CallMeGwei.com
Ok, so including the protocol makes it clickable. Nice! (Maybe any .tld should be clickable?) Sorry folks, I'd delete that but... you know I can't... this being on the blockchain and all.
BUT WAIT... it's not on the blockchain yet... should we be able to delete it before commit?

Could the Ethereum addresses link to Etherscan? Could the tip in a users profile link to a tip/payment?
Great suggestions! Seconded.
@Bevan might I suggest on-boarding Leeroy.io users soon... They've all proven to value decentralized social media and know how to operate metamask, etc. Maybe you could just import/whitelist their usernames/addresses (that would just be super cool in a nerdy sorta way)...
@Bevan - awesome work! I appreciate the chance to "kick the wheels" in beta. I love what I see and all your hard work is evident.
I do have some ideas - you want them all in the open via several peeps... or email? Oh, and please do tell when I can write about your project!

This is safe for work, but against the law... Trade secrets! (Testing the flagging feature.)
Ok... so having a human look over the flags is probably good. :-) Are the flags stored publicly on the blockchain in case other devs would like to use them too... or are those only available to this front end? What if I forget to tag my post nsfw? Hmmm
This is safe for work, but against the law... Trade secrets! (Testing the flagging feature.)
Would like the option to follow while hovering over a user name/image.
The "unlawful" description for the post flagging feature seems a little more strongly worded than the "nsfw" use case discussed earlier.
More verification methods... can't wait to hear more!

Re harassment: there'll soon be a "mute user" feature, and one that lets you self-censor based on terms. Right now there's a flag feature for posts. All questionable Peeps should be tagged #nsfw, or else users can flag them as such. Any other ideas welcome.
I love the flagging feature. Coming from Leeroy.io - that's something I had talked about many times. How many users need to flag it for the flag to "stick" - is there any way to unflag it? What happens if a single user uses flagging to systemically silence things they don't like?
