I find the Pomodoro method tends to go out the window in crunch time. However, the rest of the time, it seems to work.

.@bevan Will @peepeth account be used at some point in the future? For now it seems to be inactive.
I do plan to. I realize there's an issue with following that account, will fix.

Did you just peep out an empty peep?
It appears to be a share, which is not clear because Peepeth only displays one "meta message", and "First peep!" takes precedence over "this user shared a peep..."

I love to follow people on Twitter or Facebook, but on Peepeth it costs Ether to follow people because it saves on the blockchain. I just hope there are certain functions like these that will not cost us transaction fee. It discourages me from following people on here.
Hey Duy! Yes, free peeping (and following/unfollowing/enso) kicks in after a certain threshold. For more, see: https://peepeth.com/help/signing

If someone use the same contract, and if Peepeth query the ETH blocks, it could be show up in peepeth.com。It all depends on peepeth.com。
That's how it works. There will likely be an ability to filter content coming from different front ends, as each may have a different philosophy or focus. @conlan

Why does twitter verification gives 5 peepeth points and github verification gives none?
Peepeth points are actually referral points, they only accrue for actions of people you refer (I've made it more clear).
GitHub now adds five points too, so referrals with T+G are worth 10 points. Slight changes in leaderboard.
The system will be changing somewhat :)

Yup, will be teaching Scratch and Python. I teach two hours a week, maybe four (still have to accept the job - depends on my schedule for university). The first hour Scratch with the younger ones and the second hour Python with the older ones.
That's awesome. Is this part of their regular curriculum? I wish I had learned programming at an earlier age.

Hi everyone! I’m glad to announce Unofficial Peepeth Client for iOS devices (github.com/matterinc/PeepethClient). My colleague and I made it during hack.summit hackathon. This project shows how easy it is to implement blockchain solutions (DApps) right on your device!
Thank you Anton and team, and congratulations on winning the hackathon!
Very excited for this, and for the new web3 library used.
Thanks to @CanYa for buying a Mosquito badge!
Blockchain this, social media that. Some things are more important. Donating to the Against Malaria Foundation is an exceptionally effective way to prevent suffering.

@yeppoon420 Sorry about that, I've sent you a refund. If you'd like to try again, be sure to enter your Twitter username exactly as it appears in the URL of your Tweet (case sensitive), or it won't let you submit the verification request.

Oh, the contract is not open source?
I've only shared it privately for various reasons, but I do plan to verify it.
@abcoathup That's right, the contract is just for storing usernames and tipping. Data could be sent to any address, no contract is even required.

I would like to know how your plan on setting up a process that is unbiased. I can think of examples... like people that are into holistic medicine or anti-vac.. I disagree with this point.. but they mean no harm by recommending their POV. How does that play out?
Unbiased moderation is probably impossible, no matter how objectively someone tries to mediate. The difference here is transparency.
Note: disagreements are fine.

I understand that, it is one of the main points that drove me to try Peepeth. The terms feel open to interpretation. I am all about the old proverb "If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all" but there is going to be disagreements here.
That's true. Like on other platforms, decisions will be made at admins' / the community's discretion. The key difference being transparency.

Fair enough, will it be possible to make the censorship server sided and have the system record everything? So that multiple interfaces can be built and choose what they want to show?
Yes, that's how it works.
Replying to @TaavetiBSG (0x1d18e6494ce1e5f12eae7df7a44a9156bbc9941f)
I am all about that one as well... though I am worried about what might not conform to "love speech" and who decides that.... because it sounds like as soon as there is a conflict of ideas... that people are going to be silenced... regardless of facts or not.
Unlike on any other platform, here there is transparency and accountability because of the blockchain.
A community-based moderation strategy is being worked out.
Replying to @conlan (0xa7f3dfed2bcf7b35a8824e11ae8f723650edfb58)
Top priority in my mind would be to decouple the contract from peepeth.com (rebrand it something different, ie OpenMicroblogProtocol) and then make it easy as possible for others to build their front ends (open source the frontend code) @bevan
Peepeth's contract is named "Peepeth", but that's about it. You actually don't need a contract to build something like Peepeth. Your real "account" is your Ethereum address, and that's portable between any ETH-based social network.
Replying to @JakobPovel (0x995d1bdfd5cdbd31d306d650c2e9f19e5a38bb25)
That's a shame and a missed opportunity. I would love to see what a truly unregulated platform would do, with the different communities that coexist.
Missed opportunity? Yes. Peepeth's approach is not the most expedient way to build a social network.
A shame? No. Peepeth has a worthy mission.
Unregulated platforms more or less exist. See Minds and Gab. Peepeth's focus is different.

But it is also possible to see the peeps if we knew the hash, right?
Anyone is free to audit Peepeth's enforcement of the terms, because peeps are on the blockchain. That keeps Peepeth accountable to users. Those who find it unacceptable can build and use another interface for the same data.
A number of you are here because of one user whose videos made Peepeth seem like an unmoderated platform. It was a simple misunderstanding on their part. Peepeth.com has always been a moderated platform.
This is now shown to new users:

Hey all- wanted to clarify something. Peepeth.com is sometimes assumed to be an "anything goes" platform because the blockchain is immutable. That is inaccurate. Data cannot be removed from the blockchain, but Peepeth.com will not display content that violates its terms of use.
...nor will it provide access to those who violate its terms.
Peepeth's focus is on cultivating mindful engagement and positive contribution. The immutability of the blockchain plays an important part in that, albeit a nuanced one; it is not the end in itself.

Anyone knows if it is save to call cashout() on the peepeth contract? I do not find a way in the UI currently to use the tips - would love to do it as promised to @Bitcoinstacks - but after @Bevan warned me of bad effects when calling transferOwnership() I am a bit hessitant ;-)
Oh, FYI: if you're on Coinbase Wallet on iOS, tipping is currently disabled. Normally, there is a "dollar bill" icon to the right of the Ensō icon underneath each peep.

That's an admin-only function.
Tips are sent to users immediately, so there is no need to cash them out.

Peepeth is smooth sailing on mobile, even attaching images is a breeze. Enjoy this photo of #Taipei, peeple. (Although when I’m trying to upload a landscape photo, the preview is rotated by 90 degrees. Has to do with something how the iPhone stores images.) #photography #Taiwan
