Updated my Raspberry Pi Lightning node finally - feels great to be involved in this incredible tech. Feel free to create a channel with my node⚡https://1ml.com/node/034a6cbcc24be5ff1a3777e047933898ec6557ece040982cade99a47026c7f86e2

What do you like least about Peepeth? What is stopping you from using it more?
This is more of a bug, but my notifications never go away on coinbase wallet. Makes it tricky to see if I have a new one.
I've been away from Peepeth for a couple weeks because of starting a new job, but it feels like months 😲 So much for that peep streak
javascript.info is a fantastic resource if you are looking to polish up/refresh your JavaScript skills. Would recommend.
Home is where your PC is <3

This is important, was going to look into how it works when I had time but would love to hear from @bevan :)

This is what one of the brands look like.
Interesting! Do they also sell higher thc options?

The view of #banff from the #sulphurmountain lookout. I have a feeling very few other natural landscapes I will ever experience can touch just how immaculate this part of the world is. #canada #travel #landscape #lookout #mountains #forest #nofilter #skyhighpeep
Wow. Incredible.

That’s super interesting! I haven’t heard of that before. So, do you basically allow the company to access your processor (or whatever)? Probably slows your computer down, but do you get paid a half decent price for that? Is there a way to make that super efficient, like asic
The benefits of the GPU are that it will automatically switch to sell the most profitable hashing algo at the time - whereas with ASICS you are locked into mining a particular algorithm :) I don't know what is more profitable to invest in right now though!

use a pool that uses exchanges to convert altcoins to btc. zpool's a good one
Yeah I used miningpoolhub with awesomeminer - I'll probably give it a go again when I have the time to configure it all

Cool! I’ve found a couple of great tutorials on that. Would it be more beneficial to mine some obscure small coin, if using GPU?
I used to do that, with automatic algorithm switching set up - but nowadays I just use nicehash to sell my hashpower and get paid in Bitcoin.. it's a bit less of a headache with hardly any maintenance needed 🙂 more consistent payout as well.

Very seriously considering mining. Anyone have personal experience?
Yupp - only GPU mining though. Let me know if you have any questions.
Day 3: 'Three cliffs' in Southgate, Swansea. My favourite place so far; also the first sunny day! Extremely beautiful place.

Sometimes I simply forget to use it. But when I come across a peep I really like I am happier to spend this Ensō on it than I would be by just giving it a like. Maybe we would need some kind of reminder or a little banner on the side which indicates that we still have it unspent.
A countdown would be great - currently I either try to give an enso but can't, or assume I can't when I can. Just need it to be more clear 😊
Bonus: the Fan Brycheiniog itself. Looks a bit like a wave 🤔. The lake is just off in the distance out of view.
Day 2: A lake called Llyn y Fan Fawr, by the Fan Brycheiniog. Was a nice place to stop for lunch during the 12 mile round trip walk.

This is my proudest day on Peepeth, I know have a flame badge. #3days Yes, I’d like to thank the academy.
I propose that the flame gets bigger the higher the streak, with a 10 year streak completely covering everything.

dope! yeah, the right one this time. at least the last one was still of the waterfall! haha.
One of the downsides of immutability, no fixing stupid mistakes 🙄😅
It seems to be posting the wrong photo, here is the correct one (hopefully 😅)

Bonus: me and some strangers behind the waterfall 😊
Day 1: Saw 'Sgwd yr Eira' (Waterfall of the Snow). Gotta love the Welsh disdain for vowels. Not the best picture unfortunately but here it is.
I'm having theoretical comp sci flash backs. Thanks for reminding me to stay on top of my theory knowledge🤘nice to see you using peepeth!

Currently, it doesn’t appear to have any significant value. But in the future, if we are present with content from those we follow first, it’ll be of if more value. The biggest value I see now, is networking. As the family grows, it’s nice to be connected to some we’ve liked most
Eloquently put ^^

What is the best way to use Peepeth on mobile? I'm on an iPhone and tried using the Status browser but talk about complicated, it won't allow me to login to my Peepeth account... #help #peepeth
You need to use a wallet like Trust and import your seed that you used in metamask. Personally I could only get coinbase wallet to work

Sure, you can generate them on various websites, many of them are linked to their repositories on Github and praised by others. I've used it twice so far, including the vanity wallet gen, then printed it as a gift for a baby shower. The baby's growing, so does her BTC value :)
You've got to be careful accepting paper wallets as cash though, as they could have kept a copy of the private key. Among friends it's usually okay though :)

Could we just get an iOS/Android native peepeth app?? That would be so much better! Or at the very least let the trust browser use notification badges. This seems like a no brainer #peepeth
Yeah, granted it would be a short term solution to a bigger problem. I was not aware that it was possible to use notifications in trust wallet - that would be a much easier option 🤔
Having a lack of peepeth notifications on mobile is a pain - could a 'watch only' peepeth mobile app be made, which would alert you of notifications for your account. This wouldn't require a built-in Eth wallet as the idea is to alert the user rather than perform actions.

I haven't dug much but I think I get it. Peepeth is 'moderated' meaning that when displaying peeps on the site there is flair and javascript stuff happening, but anyone can see all peeps if they review the contract? So in the end no censorship whatsoever?

Every username change is written to the blockchain and the last one written is the one you will have on any fork. @Bevan will correct me if I'm mistaken :) ATM, one can change the username, but not the address. The latter is in works.
I see! Makes me wonder what mechanism is in place to stop two people using the same username. Thanks for being helpful.
Replying to @voyager (0x459948a40918d535407fd49bf2c041d546fc37ae)
It's address-bound. Usernames are easily changeable through the front-end. Your data is yours as long as you have control over the address that signed the transactions.
Thanks! So if I'm understanding, if there was another front-end, there's no guarantee i'd get the same username. Usernames (e.g @voyager) are managed by the frontend - and are not linked to addresses on the blockchain?
