Doing verifications. I'm not entirely certain what advantage this gives. It all seems almost too simple. How can this be blockchain if I'm not tearing out my hair?
That's what I love about peepeth. It's blockchain, but @Bevan got it managed to create a simple and intuitive interface that blurs the border between web2.0 and web3.

Hey Leslie, I'm currently using Opera Beta on Android and Opera Dev on my PCs for browsing the web3. There is no need of extensions since the builtin ether wallet is good enough for me. Added to this I use the trust wallet app on android for the other wallets I have.

I've dumped even telegram and switched to Wire. It lacks all the stickers, but I prefer the encryption across all devices rather than just to phone as Telegram offers.

The chats are also encrypted. You only cannot create (or use) a secret chat like on the mobile client. Thing is, i need to stay in contact and managed it to switch some others to Telegram. Nobody of them is on Wire

You would think that people would get tired of being treated like children by these companies, but they're not. They're focusing on how it gives them what they want rather than what it costs everyone else. Sexworkers are really feeling the heat from it all.
I see that on my friends. They get somewhat shocked if they hear smthing bad from the news about Facebook (or others), but nothing ever happens. 5 Minutes later, they use it as nothing happened. But one must make the first step so i even deleted WhatsApp now. Telegram for now ;)

I just deleted @facebook. These companies that want to behave the way they do towards adults need a kick in the teeth. My account won't mean much to them, but the more people who stand up for their rights to be adults the more they're going to bleed.
I deleted my account already a year and a half ago. Not deactivated but directly arranged the full deletion. Good move, hopefully more will follow. :)

This community seems to small still. You see posts mostly from a small group of users that interact between each other. Hope other and nee members get more visibility when more "strangers" come along.
Sure, we are a small community right now. But as Andrew already told, someone random can make an impact easily. I joined in June, forgot about peepeth and now "restarted" peeping two weeks(?) ago. Though, still the crypto accessibility problem is a thing that hinders newcomers.

You're welcome Bevan. I believe in this project and think we can even grow more when crypto gets more accessible to the average user. Already thinking of something like an identity system but it's in its early stages of sketching for now. Somewhere deep in my brain 😂

That Rocks! We here distribute Socks and Hot Beverages to the homeless population in Montreal. Keep giving and provided amazing smiles. Showing we care provides Faith for them. :)
I love the way you help the homeless. Thankfully we have only a low population of homeless here. And they get a good amount of help currently. There is even a Christmas "party" for them to get a bit of the feeling and crowding.
Just want to say Thank you to @Bevan for building peepeth. There is so much joy and peace in here that we (my wife and I) got inspired and baked some Christmas cookies for the "Tafel" in our city. They're for the people with less to no income. Thanks also to all for inspiration.

Yes, patience is indeed a virtue. Brave seems doing a good job too, insofar as smooth integration is concerned. If it can deliver on paid-per-ads viewing (ala Twitch) it is sure to be a net positive for blockchain based microblogging environments.
To be honest, I'm not a fan of ad-based revenue models. I like it more to pay for quality content like here with the tips. I know that ads are one of the biggest (if not the biggest) markets out there but I am more a fan of reputation systems.

The micropayments portion is one aspect of hindrance to mainstream adoption. Another, perhaps larger issue, is that on mobile one is required to first launch a wallet prior to the actual Dapp. This double abstraction is very cumbersome. Most social platforms live and die on mobie
To add something here: you do not need to open a wallet first in every occasion. Opera beta already has a builtin ethereum wallet. It just takes time for adoption from the other browsers. Firefox might be the next and then I'd think Chrome will follow. Be patient.

Hey @Kumaran. I recently thought about the same but came to the conclusion, that the only true blockchain-part of such an app could be the identity. Other parts like VoIP are very complicated to decentralized regarding speed and reliability IMO.
If you start getting sick, listen to your body and tour down. Nothing is riskier than trying to maintain a high level of power while your body is not able to provide it.

Because people seek social acceptance and long-term conservation of energy, or an "easy, happy finish" in life. People look around and see everyone targeting profit and career/social success now, so they think they should be too. Conscious moral human evolution takes time.
Thanks for the explanation mate. Even if i know that this might take hundreds of years to evolve I want to make my first steps in this direction and hope that others follow or are inspirated.
