#Peepeth should avoid using Google Fonts (or just host them) if wants to respect the "no tracking" part of its claim.
This is a good point and one that can be less-than-obvious.
I know stripping all of the tracking out of Wordpress can be a non-trivial task. I also know that when creative time is scarce it's difficult to say, "I'm going to build an analytics component from scratch, too."

thats awesome! Looks like you guys are having SO much fun at Buidl Bali!
We're having a great time. It's nice to have the freedom to explore new places and ideas with a group people you respect as individuals.
Next time, join us!

Hello Peepers! We are excited to be now on this platform too, supporting our space and microblogging!
Could you possibly verify your Twitter or Github accounts so that the peeple here can be sure it's really *the* Golem project... **so we can get the party started?!**
Welcome to Peepeth.

Trekking through rice paddies: the astounding view...

#buidl_bali - Day 7
Today we trekked across some lovely roads winding through rice fields. The heat of the sun was inescapable, but the two kilos of passion fruit we consumed allowed us to continue exploring.
We wrapped up the day with a cultural theater/fire walking show. Wow.

Is there any way to embed #Peepeths on a website? (I am thinking of something similar to Twitter cards and/or Twitter history frame).
Would you want it to display only your peeps? Or your "following" feed... so peeps from you and those you follow? (Or just peeps from everyone?)

As a musician I am on at least about 20 different platforms, from music streaming to microblogging to social media. As a cryptomusician I am enthusiastic about blockchain and crypto tech. That's why I'm on peepeth but building a base here is proving more difficult than most site.
Your experiences could be really insightful. Would you mind linking to your profile across the other sites in the cryptosphere and otherwise. It could be a useful case study.

#buidl_bali - Day 5 Everyone here wants to make the world a better place. This occupies a fair amount of conversation. Today we talked an awful lot about social media ideas (surprise), the power of conversation, and the pros and cons of various governments. Building blocks.
The day ended with a pummeling served up by some local ocean waves, as has become our routine. The sunset was awe-inspiring, and we watched on in silence.
Just some friends on a beach with dreams of making the world a little better.
**We wish you had been there.**

My own conspiracy theory is that most conspiracy theories are fomented by the real conspirators. They want to keep us occupied so we don't discover what the real conspiracies are. I've only got two tinfoil hats smart and casual. How many have you got?
I only have one tinfoil hat (and it's pretty casual), but I've been known to borrow those of others on occasion. :-)

The world-state governance app where users can delegate their votes to "elected" officials, but override any particular vote as they see necessary, thereby giving power back to individuals....

Possible, but the current crop of stablecoins smells too much of "old finance" to inspire confidence, even among early adopters. :)
We removed the need for trusted third parties and banks slipped themselves right back into the equation with fiat-backed stable coins.
Luckily, competition in the form of MakerDAO is easy to use and less dependent on banks. The USD peg isn't without issues, but it's a start.

I've just finished setting up my LN node: it only took me 26 hours. I'm a big fan of #Casanode but, clearly, mass adoption isn't happening in 2019... -_-
What part of setting up your LN node took the most time?
Aside from Ethereum and Bitcoin, which blockchain ecosystems are you using or involved with?
Have to give credit where it's due: @abcoathup was the mastermind behind the hashtag in the sand. First photo didn't do it justice.

Of course you have control over the link shortening! Just add an "s" to the protocol and then your dapp browser users won't encounter any issues navigating via short link to your articles. ;-)
I do follow your work, but in between a thousand other things...

This is true, I think if you just never looked at it after setting it up then you would fall victim to this, but I would hope that most people would atleast monitor for something like this. You ARE still trusting a 3rd party here, so your point is well taken!
Not trying to pick on you, you're doing good work. However, a growing number of people are using you to learn! And that's great! So be sure to at least thrown in a paragraph or two about the downsides of centralized services.
And always use https - or the dapp browsers complain!

Just read the article, no real mention of the individual risks or the possible systemic risks were a large majority of crypto users using that particular, centralized service.
No support for decentralized exhanges, which is a bit of a letdown.
Lastly, the link is not httpS...

All automated and a lot of portfolio trackers and tax service software use the API's from exchanges. There is always a risk involved for sure though. I list the current exchanges it supports in the article!
With tax software you can give read only access, so less of a concern. You can also generally restrict transferring crypto, which is nice.
But that doesn't protect against any sort of possible (mass) market manipulation to the benefit of the entity orchastrating your trades.

I’d rather call it “betting marketing” instead of prediction marketing. This word is purely misleading - the 1st time I heard about the word prediction market I thought it was something related to machine learning, AI, etc. LOL
I thinks it's commonly acknowledged that a great way to __predict__ something is to take __bets__ on it.
Also, it should be pointed out that there is no reason AI couldn't be betting on the prediction markets. In fact, it would be more surprising if machines & AI weren't!

We're all slightly exhausted, so pardon the brevity. Today was filled with "jahen" food (delicious in Balinese), a bit of rain, some terrifying and beautiful statues, and several monkeys.

This is what comes to my mind when people speak about conflict of interest in the blockchain space and push good people like @afri out this way. I suggest them this talk by @mi_ayako and albert ni where this screenshot is from: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDpu9I0mgf8&t=41m23s
I'm still developing an opinion regarding this particular issue, but I will chime in with this: the blockchain space, in practice, can be unforgiving and brutish for all sorts of participants.
I hope all of us can hang in there long enough to make our common vision a reality.

People in #Colombia can't buy anything on the streets because police give them a fine.
Dreadful. Unfortunately, more and more common...
In most countries they let the vendor pay the fine first... they just spin it as "licensing".
If you're not exchanging their paper money, how do they know what you're "buying"?
Would DAI transactions be a workaround?
