I'm curious as to how this actually works. Hello everyone!
Hello, @EmperorZoom!
Welcome to Peepeth.

No i'm not, this one was interesting: https://coinclarity.com/bitcoin-early-adopter-seastead/
Interesting, indeed. Too bad all the nation-states have already claimed all the land for themselves. Starting with a clean slate sounds exciting indeed, but starting out on the ocean seems less appealing, imho.

Terrific. There is nothing like hands-on. The teams came up with three solid pitches to position the bank as a leader in Africa.
Terrific! Congrats on successfully spreading new ideas and new tech! Let us know if there's anything you can share later.

Yes, all of them.
Do you publish commentary anywhere? What have you read lately that stood out in the ocean of information?

How'd it go?

The avo looks yummy for garbage.
The avocado looks yummy. *period*
The fact that it ended up in the garbage... is that a failure of legislation or management, one has to wonder.

I appreciate all the sharing. You seem to always be on top of things in the space. Kudos; that's no small errand.

Good morning!

I have more Peepeth followers than actual acquaintances in real life. But surely, that is pretty common...right?
I think that's pretty common... but feel free to join us as the next #peeptreat and bolster those real-life numbers too!
Replying to @AnaelleLTD (0x2c89c3660a985ccdebf7e63f5f0f8b83e54cd49d)
I think the real question is: Do you REALLY want Peepeth to become "mainstream"? If so, then the infrastructure, rules, design and "marketing strategies" will need to be rethought. As we all know, this is no easy feat on an existing/live product/software/platform. :)
@bevan is making those tough decisions in realtime... every dev has to eat!
Personally, I'd be fine with a niche platform filled with personable peeple and well-considered peeps, but there needs to be enough revenue to sustain the efforts involved.
(Long live Peepeth!)
I just realized that I have more @peepethApp followers than I do @twitter followers. This is amazing, because people on Peepeth actually "hear" each other.
If you're into crypto and you're tired of not being heard on "crypto twitter": https://peepeth.com/?PeepethLoves=callmegwei

It seems to me that people who join Peepeth are not the kind to just think/post mindless stuff anyway. Or rather, there are the likes of Instagram, Facebook and Youtube for that...
Can Peepeth become a "mainstream" product if that's the case?
That was something that kept coming up at #buidl_bali...

I like that interpretation.
(Possibly because I've only ever danced sober.)

all humans have to die
All humans have always had to die.
***That may not always be the case.***
We should talk about what that means for wealth distribution, reproduction rights, the rest of the planet... etc... well before it becomes an actual issue.

¿ Es posible que sea el momento de avanzar hacia una república? #28A http://www.sinpermiso.info/textos/republicanas-municipalistas-y-de-izquierdas
Yes. It is possible!
There are a lot of "career" politicians that stand to lose a lot if that happened, however. And, seeing as how they are presently writing the laws... I imagine more than a few obstacles in the way of such a transition.

'Using blockchain is something I’ve been thinking about. However, I have not figured out how we can make it work.' Mark Zuckerberg
"Make it work..." ... to continue monetizing user data and perpetuating user lock-in? The entire business model of Facebook would need to change, imo. If blockchain is a catalyst for that - I think that I would be speechless for a while.

A bit different to the old paper magazine purchases, anonymous reading was possible then
Because there was a *purchase* that model worked. "Free" articles, of course, need something in return... if not your data, then what is there... especially when blocking advertising is trivial.
Free stuff, and the expectation of free stuff, has done the world a disservice.

Fresh fruit and veg, boxed for my convenience by a friendly grocery store manager.
I've heard about "dumpster divers" finding all sorts of still-edible "disposed of" food. This, however, doesn't seem like the same sort of thing. This seems like it's well-packed and still fresh!
Share the not-so-beautiful hauls, too?

After twenty years of steadfast resistance, I finally bought a Microsoft product. LibreOffice just couldn’t keep up with my business needs. As a Linux hacker in the late 1990’s I regarded Microsoft with suspicion. Still do. #opensource #microsoft
In what ways was it letting you down? Have you ever tried ONLYOFFICE? I'm not a fan of software subscriptions for apps that rarely *need* upgrading... did you go with a subscription?
This photo is splendid... something between a dream and a painting.

Interesting choice of username. I would have thought that matrixcryptoface or binarycryptoface would have been more suitable.
Either way, welcome to Peepeth!
Today, those who need you to keep the machine whirring will say things like **"a rolling stone gathers no moss"**
Do not be fooled. Contentedness can be an elusive but profoundly beautiful thing.
If you ever find yourself in such a state... linger. Stay there. Accept the moss.

Totem is a web3 client where you can use your favorite DApps, manage your crypto currencies or digital assets and browse your files hosted on distributed storage networks like Swarm or IPFS!
Excited to try it out. Seeing the screenshot and the name (before the peep text) made me think of the Totem media player on Ubuntu.
Is this open source?

In London for a week. It's been great so far. Feel very at peace walking around the city. London feels so dense with history + culture, like the h+c per square meter is very high. Here at Cambridge Circus, where I sought 84 Charing Cross Road, and then peeped this scene. #london
Thanks for sharing the scene. Something lively and simultaneously cozy about it.
Enjoy your time there.

Glad you made it! *Enjoy being home.*
Getting to know you was a real pleasure. See you down the road, but hopefully before the "ten year reunion"...
#buidl_bali - Day 10
We woke up at 12:30am and took a several hour car ride to a rallying point for people to hike up a mountain. We hiked it in the dark so we could catch the sunrise from the summit. Despite the pain, the view was beautiful. The mountain monkeys were cool too!

#cryptoassets utility is driven by the narrative around them, as much as the narrative around them is driven by their utility. #openinnovation
The importance of **narrative** in the crypto space has been on my mind for the better part of two years. It came up several times during #buidl_bali - and I think you are absolutely on the right train of thought here.

Last day at the villa. Demo day was a great reminder that we're all still learning (even when there are experts among us) and that just *keeping at it* is a susbstantial step for any project.
No more pool or tropical birds, but we get to keep the the friends.

DeFi is the new ICO.
And then something else will be the "new DeFi" and then anothwr thing will be the "new something else"... and then your progeny will one day be unable to imagine the old world where we chose between only centralized choices of everything and trusted it all.

hello peepers! A newbie here 😉
We're all newbies here in some respect... none of the tech here is very old!
Welcome to Peepeth.
I came to #buidl_bali thinking smart contracts and blockchains were going to change the world. I had some use cases in mind, but I didn't realize I had discounted a critical variable.
I'm sharing that oversight with you now, so you don't err as well.

#buidl_bali - Day 8 No pictures today, peeple. Instead, please accept this short story: A man was swimming solo along the shore, when he was suddenly being swept out to sea. In the midst of his panic, between the waves, he saw a calm face. It may very well have saved his life.
We each have our own shores, those are our lives. We have our oceans too, the world in which we participate and put ourselves out there. The rip current of chance can occasionally lead us to panic.
Remember to stay calm, focus. If you're lucky, you might not have to do it alone.

#Peepeth should avoid using Google Fonts (or just host them) if wants to respect the "no tracking" part of its claim.
That said... the claim should certainly be fleshed out a little more and may even need an ambitious roadmap of its own. Just commenting because I'm certain there is no intentional ill will.
