Any thoughts on why dApps haven't gone mainstream yet?

To an extent, teens are a driving force in tech adoption. Note how Facebook is losing that age group. But there are barriers to them adopting crypto. They all know about it but most cannot get crypto.

Hi Shigako. I'm in Taiwan now but it was raining in Aomori when we left. We're back to Japan in a couple weeks so hopefully it will get everything out of its system by then.

Oh you could, I'd just recommend an airlock. Here's my recipe if you want to experment. 6 8oz jars of banana preserves 3 4 pound bag of sugar 6 gallons of spring water Starting gravity 1.090 1 packet of Lalvin K1V 1116 yeast

Well, certainly starting from scratch I'd use an airlock. I was thinking of a small secondary fermentation to use some of that leftover sugar you have. Thanks for the recipe! That's a new one for me.

It hit it's limit, still damn good. Next time I'll use a Lavin 1118 yeast and a bit less sugar.

Hmmm. Just as an experiment, I'd be tempted to take one bottle of that, add just a pinch of more robust yeast, seal it, wait, hope it doesn't explode, and have bubbly banana wine!

Looks wonderful! If it's sweet, doesn't that mean it could ferment more? Or has the yeast strain met it's limit?

It's funny. When I was in Taiwan a couple years ago, I bought some American Spirit rolling tobacco because I thought I might want to smoke, but I never did. That tobacco was produced in Japan. I took it back to the US, left it in Florida, and now I'm in Japan with no tobacco!

Addiction is an curious one... specifically for smoking, I can’t say I’ve ever enjoyed it, but I do get the appeal. No-inhale cigars are interesting & apparently less addictive, and “addiction treatment” like nicotine patches are actually getting a little following as a biohack..

Tobacco is a very powerful plant. I smoke it on and off, mostly off. But during certain periods in my life, I choose to smoke tobacco. I haven't smoked in, hmm, at least 4 years, but I very well may again. Tobacco is NOT addictive for me. I choose to smoke or not.

Thank you. I will check tomorrow. I don’t know what to look for but I’ll duckduckgo it. There’s only 1 that has a nice green color & that one was in an actual little pot before. So, I think it had to do with draining & nitrogen levels. I’m off to bed. Thanks.

Oh, and I meant perlite, not vermiculite. Perlite helps drainage, vermiculite holds water. TIP: A good soiless mix for sprouting seeds is 1/3 peat moss, 1/3 perlite, and 1/3 vermiculite. Be careful with fertilizer. Too much burns the plants and they turn yellow.

You look for tiny, tiny little white specks on the underside of the leaves. Those are the bugs. They're usually easier to find by their webs. A bad infestation will result in obvious very fine webbing on the underside of leaves. They suck the life out of plants.

These are great tips. I think nitrogen might be an issue & definitely watering. Unfortunately, I’m only in charge of 1 that I water. My Brother, who is so naive, waters the rest. I got the seeds & he planted them & has them at his place. The pots now drain properly @ least.

I miss growing pot. It's such a fun hobby. Maybe at some point in this lifetime I'll be able to do it again. Remember to check for spider mites.

For spider mites, a good DIY spray is: 1 quart spray bottle, water, a couple tablespoons of dish soap, tobacco juice (soak tobacco or use very finely ground plant), a tablespoon of red pepper, very finely ground. Spray daily.

Be sure to hit the entire plant including underside of leaves.

The color suggests too much nitrogen. The soil might benefit from more vermiculite. Be patient. Don't water too much. After sprouting, it takes a couple weeks for vegetative cycle to kick in. Any spider mites?

Take a peep at what happens when you leave zucchinis to their own devices in the socal sun - during June gloom no less. If you ever find yourself here, zucchini yogurt soup is a painless way out. Anyone else got any out of the box Z recipes? These ones won't fit in a box.

But what I'd really do with that zucchini is stir fry it with whatever you stir fry veggies with (but garlic would have to be involved) and have it over rice, with a clear soup side, and if yogurt must be involved, then for dessert.
