Nice to see you over here. What would make you visit/peep more regularly?
Thanks! I'm glad to stop by here. Threaded replies would be my #1. Right now, I feel like I clutter the feed with every post I make, and I end up rereading posts several times without this. Once it's implemented, I think it will be a game changer for Peepeth usage overall.
My take on why I think many Ethereum competitors are in a battle for second place: https://www.reddit.com/r/ethtrader/comments/aupmxd/why_ethereum_competitors_are_in_a_battle_for/

What do you like least about Peepeth? What is stopping you from using it more?
The lack of properly threaded replies. Looking at the same post several times for distinct replies is time consuming, confusing, and not conducive to having discussions here. I know this is on the roadmap, and personally, I'll use Peepeth a lot more once it's implemented.

I have mentioned this a couple of times to @bevan I think that only showing top level peeps in the main stream would mean that peepsters would reply more, increasing conversations and engagement. If someone wants content shown again then that is what repeeps are for.
Agree with you @abcoathup. Thanks for taking the feedback @bevan. Would love to see more of the Ethereum community over here as the UI continues to get better!
Any word on when Peepeth might get threaded convos? Would boost usability tremendously, and I'm sure I and other would be here more. Seeing the same posts over and over in the timeline (with various replies) makes it hard to sort through.
Does SEC action against some Ethereum-based ICOs actually create a bull thesis for ETH? Tokens will now be eschewed in many cases, driving more economic activity directly to ETH as a medium of exchange- reinforcing its role as the currency of the internet.

Offical gameplay trailer just dropped from Gods Unchained, an Ethereum-based Trading Card Game. I must say, I'm pretty impressed and can't wait to play it! This could be one of the first Ethereum games to go mainstream. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLvFIUKYbUc
The game is built on Ethereum, with all card ownership recorded on main net. Games will be off-chain at first, but could eventually leverage L2. Marketplace will be leverage 0x.

A big mistake a lot of "technology-first" investors make is thinking about Ethereum and Bitcoin as just simple (and limited) technologies. Yes, they have many limitations (for now), but it's how they grow and evolve economically, not just technically, that will define them.
Ethereum is more than just a platform, it is an economic protocol, just as the internet is an information protocol. Secondary protocols (e.g., Maker), as well as platforms (e.g., Loom), are being built upon it now.
Centralized stable coins are the AOL of internet money. They're not going to kill decentralized finance, nor will they be particularly relevant in its future- but in the near-term, they will help millions get on-boarded onto these new, decentralized financial networks. #DeFi

Pretty cool. I'm still waiting for big box grocery / retail to get on the VR bandwagon. Imagine browsing virtual aisles for goods, and having them ship to your house when you check out. Sounds better than the current online grocery shopping experience to me.

The Peepeth team is just @bevan. This is currently the work of one person. Though he is standing on the shoulders of giants.
Wow, didn't realize it was *just* him. Very impressive, and shows what one determined person can do for this community. I'm happy to support the crowdfunding for this project.

Trying to peep and tweet at the same time.
It's definitely easier than rubbing your belly and patting your head at the same time, thanks to the good work @bevan and team have done. Welcome to Peepeth!
Ethereum will very likely be the future of decentralized finance (and much more), and a bear market isn't going to stop that. My thoughts: https://www.reddit.com/r/ethtrader/comments/9eptnb/its_time_to_take_back_the_narrative_around_ether/

A serious message to my friends on EthTrader for which I'm a mod. Thoughts on Suicide, the market, and how to be a good human on the Reddits. Peace to my #ethereum brothers and sisters. Big Hugs from KC. https://youtu.be/FWrK0N3zkEs
Cheers, JT. Thanks for everything you do to help us all "remember the human"- on Reddit and elsewhere. It is one of the key things which makes the Ethereum community better, even in tough times.
Nice write-up on Gods Unchained, a trading card game coming to Ethereum. I'm pretty excited about this one, and what it could mean for in-game NFT as an Ethereum use case: https://www.coindesk.com/a-crypto-card-game-is-testing-magics-records-and-it-hasnt-even-launched/

They sure are. Thanks for asking.
Glad to hear it- will be a great feature!
@bevan just curious: are threaded replies on the to-do list? It would definitely make reading the front page a bit easier.

Just contributed to the Peepeth Kickstarter. Very important project and clearly the path that social media will start to take. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1414168019/peepeth-social-network-for-a-better-world
Welcome to Peepeth! Looking forward to some insightful Peep-storms from you. ;-)
I'm proud to support the Peepeth KickStarter. It's been awesome to see this community grow over the past months, and I have no doubt it will get much bigger in the year(s) to come. There is tons of potential in this idea, and I'm excited to see how the devs continue to evolve it!

This looks really cool! I was a big Magic The Gathering fan, so I'm excited to see similiar style card games on the blockchain popping up. When is this game set to launch?
Both will be hitting beta very soon, I believe. Probably not until 2019 for full, live versions of either. Gods Unchained Genesis Set pre-sale is live now, and Zombie Battlegrounds has a live KickStarter.

Thanks- I'm following this one closely too and am already in the KickStarter for it. Excited about this project as well!

Any of you guys check out Gods Unchained yet? I was stunned to get this ultimate meme card in rare Diamond format. Apparently only 4 Diamond Legendaries in total exist so far, but I've got the only Dick.
In-game items / digital property will very likely be Ethereum's first mainstream use case. The value proposition is absolutely clear, and many new nerds will learn how to use it so that they can provably and securely own their items. Very excited to see how this market evolves!

1/ For those who think other platforms could displace Ethereum in developer interest / technical capability, like Ethereum has displaced Bitcoin in recent years, just remember: Ethereum didn't just surpass Bitcoin in this regard; Bitcoin willingly ceded its position.
2/ Bitcoin rebranded and repurposed itself to focus on its store of value use case, at the expense of many other use cases. Time will tell if that was the right call. I don't see Ethereum making the same mistake if meaningful competition emerges.

So apparently, every EOS transaction must include a hash of the EOS Constitution within it. Unfortunately, relying upon social governance norms is wholly inadequate for governing a blockchain. https://www.reddit.com/r/ethtrader/comments/8n6a8c/daily_general_discussion_may_30_20

As an investor, I think of ETH like an Ethereum Ecosystem Index Fund that is disproportionately overweight in the successful projects on the platform.
Proof of Stake will transform ETH from a humble utility token into the best "store of value" token- and it will be as an emergent property, based upon scarcity (3 ETH to 0.6 ETH PoW mining rewards in FFG), real utility (as gas), and income generation (validator rewards).
Just a thought for consideration: Under full Proof of Stake, could we one day have binding chain votes where every participant agrees (is obligated by smart contract to) participate in a full validation period?

Hi Peeps. I'm looking for a progression of ~5 very "plain speak" articles on blockchain- moving from foundational concepts to smart contracts to how Ethereum works to Ethereum's implications / use cases. I have many people at work and elsewhere asking for this. Any suggestions?
