Yup. Testing to see if the # is calculated by use amount or # of peep amount. Appears to be the latter, which I prefer. This hopefully will help prevent gaming of the stats.

I have to say that when you see what some whales are earning per post it may seem to good to be true. But we won't even get near these earnings. So yeah, I never really sticked to SteemIt/Busy.

With all the Steem Power whales already established it's really difficult to start from scratch without investing money first. That's true.
to me, that just seems to defeat the purpose even more. i'm not a blogger or digital content creator so maybe i just have no idea what i'm saying. but from my outside perspective, it does not look so hot.

to answer your original question, the better way is to not monetize everything. the premise seems sound, but the incentive to create quality content and earn rewards for it is gone when one can game the community so easily (and if some of the community is actually complicit).

I have the same feeling.
i only had a basic understanding of the platform until i researched a bit more. even visiting the front page or reading about how steem power for upvoting/downvoting works just screams monetized circlejerk. monetized brigades. monetized spam. i'm kind of tilted.

correct me if i'm wrong but steemit is a mess because everything is based on money and people got greedy. nothing organic sees the light of day when users can buy their own upvotes and follows.

I aim for ketosis majority of the time, breaking when Iβm travelling β which is often. So Iβm a big almond flour fan. Those living in the US β whatβs the savings rate on making your own versus purchasing? Sounds potentially significant. PS I canβt stand coconut flour. :(
if you can invest in a decent piece of equipment (food processor works fine but a vitamix is best), then you can save 50-75%, maybe even more, on costs of making your own vs buying. all depends on your region, i would think. the nuts/flour can be fridged/frozen as well.

Actually where I'm at coconut flour is maybe a quarter of the price of almond - grinding your own almond flour is crucial.
yeah, almond flour is super expensive haha. the best i found here was $8/lb! yikes. πwhat are your favorite keto foods?

Thanks! Started because of holiday weight but also thought the "hack your body" aspect of it was pretty cool. Might be worthwhile to start working with almond flour and figuring out keto recipes - I see demand skyrocketing this year.
almond flour is wonderful. i've used it a lot to make gluten-free products. coconut flour is great too, if you can get a hold of it. from a professional baking perspective this recipe seems pretty solid:
