I feel bad killing just about anything. That includes flies, spiders, and cockroaches. When they are being pests I will exterminate them, but I try to do so quickly and without much pain. A double tap with the salt shotgun usually does a pretty quick job.
so it's NOT just a gimmick?!

Best people I know are part of the "kill no fly" club. It's definitely endearing when I see someone moving a bug outside into the grass rather than crush it. "Nausicaa of the Valley of the winds" might be at the origin of my appreciation of critters.
that movie, as well as pretty much all miyazaki/ghibli films, is beautiful and timeless. there are many lessons to learn and stories to be told through them. :)

i make pastry art, for a living. i also like doin' stuff with my hands, like carving stamps, wood burning, cross stitch, etc. :D these sorts of things calm my mind by providing a physical distraction in the form of creation!

I think that con is also a beauty, in a way. It allows the record of both a mistake, and the correcting of one's mistake. It takes a strong person, to admit they've been wrong; likewise it takes a strong network to immortalize that human strength.
i #lkie what you've said here. mistakes are uncomfortable for everyone to make. we all make them. but if a platform like this can teach us to be more comfortable with making and further correcting mistakes, then the platform is doing something right, for sure.

don't mistake observation with judgement. I teach bcuz I believe in my country and its unique place in the history of the planet in terms of self-governance and I want to see it succeed/continue. don't be mad at me, I truly mean well. here, a gift: https://cafedelites.com/chili-m
not mad, i can assure you. :) i just ask questions based on perceived tone. your answer tells me that you care, whereas, based on past experiences of my own, many in a teaching position do not. just like anyone else, you have frustrations with the system as well. i respect that.

no powdered sugar required! my boss made them, actually, for a special lobster dinner at one of our restaurants. one of four minis that the guests receive as a last course. :)

ageism?!? don't go all pc on me now. I'm late 30s and teach in a univ and know of which I speak bcuz I have to deal with this mindset/ignorance frequently; damn public schools
why are you a teacher (in a public setting) if you are so quick to judge a number of your students?
Replying to @ChiliMac (0x90cfd4934278cfc9205e5893b089074acd8eb351)
Agreed, but how would it be altered by someone or group of technocrats "regulating" or "steering" content or "quality" etc, etc. Don't know why this is such a problematic issue for millennials who probably can't name all 5 parts of 1stA with googling it.
i see your ageism and politely request you to rethink it a bit. there are people of all ages/from every generation in america, born and raised here, that do not know anything about the constitution. again, "people all the way down".

I have a list a mile long- my namesake site hasn't been updated in crypto eons because of other obligations... but hopefully, I'll be writing again soon. As for you, write about wherever your interests take you. I am just offering usage of a platform since I know you're sincere.
i would say you have been writing all this time, just not specifically for your blog.
basically i enjoy reading what you have to say, no matter the format in which you say it. :)

I've tipped many Doges in recently years. You just need one Doge or sometimes even 0 to pay for the transaction. ETH's gas is so expensive (especially when in heavy traffic) that sometimes you just don't want to use it to tip.
doge is amazing, yes. i hope the bridge will one day be complete.

Well, without giving too much away - the urban lifestyle isn't for me. I just wish people that wanted to live the "farm" life could do so more easily. I know most people wouldn't want to. Same as I wish people could be bakers or butchers or seamstresses in small towns...
trust me, you don't necessarily want to be a baker. small town or not. ๐
i so echo your sentiment about wanting to live a country life. if i could i most certainly would. in less than a heartbeat.

"2. Accept that uncertainty and disorder, and relax into them."
