I never use a dark mode unless it's like Discord and comes in it at default.
i use dark mode on just about everything. my eyeballs aren't getting any younger. :P

Hello world! Some part of me feels uncomfortable knowing these "peeps" may exist for a long time, but then again this is likely true for Twitter as well. I hope our social norms improve such that we will judge people for who they are today, and forgive what should be forgiven.
this is good sentiment. welcome to peepeth, landfish!

@pluma what is one thing you want to see by 2030?
i want to see the children of today grown and happy. i'd hope to see the world better taken care of. ideally, i'd like to see more and more love, on all fronts.

Yes, welcome @math - Capitalism without Capital sounds interesting. If we want to do an economics train, I also recently got Debt by David Graeber (recommended by Seth Godin, @vbuterin)
i could do a book a month, as long as it isn't a tome, haha. i don't want to commit to something i can't finish in a timely manner for meetings. as for genre preference, i'm down with whatever but would like some sci-fi or fantasy classics in the future. :)

are we talking artificial aging? if so, cleveland whiskey has been doing it since at least 2013. and apparently it tastes like the real stuff! :o

plant meat all the way. nothing can replace whiskey.

I keep a little journal with all of my seed phrases mixed into a short story I wrote. But I also have stored them on a little 256mb USB drive (also in short story format). Iβve even made my own mathematical keys in case I forget the stories, haha. Have fun with it!
ok whoa. i've also done that with my phrases, haha! the short stories thing, i mean. thought i was just a weirdo. π

Happy Independence Day of Ukraine πΊπ¦ to any Ukrainian out there. I'm sorry that Google designers didn't feel like working a lot today, so they went along with a weird choice of design for the logo of the day. So many beautiful patters to choose from in Ukrainian folklore.
this (partially) ukrainian is only slightly disappointed. at least the day is being recognized, i suppose! also, thanks for the #peepout!

Even though this game was reported to be pretty terrible (I never played it), I think it gives a good glympse into what the future of games may be one day. Procedural generation gives an infinite amount variability. Combine this with VR and you've created an entire new universe.
yeah, i do hope that some company can improve upon this concept. and also try not to steal gamers' money, hopes, and dreams before said game/concept is actually complete and ready for release, lol.

We are working on blockchain-based social security systems and just published the first version of our dApp which demonstrates the german pay-as-you-go pension system. You can check @Asure_io out here on #peepeth, too! We just joined today :) What are you working on?
congratulations on publishing! and welcome to peepeth! i'll go check the project's profile as well. (love the logo, btw.)
i don't work in tech (currently) but today at work i made macarons, mousse, pastry cream, and ice cream base, among other things. it was pretty productive!

just checked the path of hurricane in models, as of now it seems to just escape the islands, you can check the track here https://www.windy.com/18.438/-158.610?2018-08-23-06,17.539,-157.505,7
thank you! yeah, it's looking pretty good for that, so i am hopeful. but there will still be impacts, and i hope everyone is properly prepared. we got really lucky most of the years i was there.
nervous. it's been a long while since the islands have felt the true impact of a powerful hurricane. hoping it will turn away and/or significantly weaken soon.
