Hey folks, just joined :) Gotta run to bed here now but thought would say a quick hello :)
Welcome, Peter!
#suggestion Create a "bug badge" for Peepers to be awarded when they identify a pre-determined number of bugs.

When you click friends on the menu it only shows their peeps.
It all makes sense now...... Thanks!
Forgive my ignorance: :By "following" someone, what does that enable? I see I can click on someone that I follow & look @ their posts, Other than that, is there more? I'm not really following anything, I'm just saving a list of Peepers to click on to see their posts - right?

Does this mean my newly registered ENS "peeper339" is now worthless? ;)

What does this machine do exactly?
It makes big concrete into little concrete
2/2 - for example, could a page be setup like the FAQ and About pages and import suggestions their on a periodic basis. This could also allow for you to provide a response - fyi - "thanks, noted" "not at this time" etc
1/2 @Bevan - I've noticed some of the same suggestions being mentioned. While someone could click on the hastag-suggestion and scroll through to see if theirs has already been addressed, is there a way to have an easier repository for suggestions?
2/2 cont. - and provide some $ to help with the costs of running the site
2/2 - Interested on your thoughts (or anybody else) as to whether this is something Peepeth could also implement with it's own token that could be used somehow with the platform. Perhaps as a way that abcoathup mentioned for Peepeth to offer tokens
1/2 @abcoathup @Bevan - Community token creator Hexel (onhexel.com) rolled out a wallet feature for their tokens today which is similar to Coinbase. You have the option of adding tokens to your Hexel wallet and they make any transfers to other users off-chain.
Looks like Peepeth could hit 400 Peepers today - Stats page is showing we are sitting at 383. #400

Oooh, interesting. Where do I see them? I seem to have missed all the info about them.
Enter the token contract address from Etherscan (https://etherscan.io/address/0xee9d859eeaec3d8e3ff176a89b18edfc62c23728) to your Metamask and they'll show up

Well if anyone wants to just tip me random amounts of money then that would be great...... That 10% for Peepeth would be no doubt appreciated too. I'm such a noble and charitable guy.
Well,@mgolder, it's not $ - but I just sent you some PEEP tokens to enjoy and share.

Thanks! I’d like to see if we can have peeps sent for helping figure things out if anyone has a question answered.
The PEEP tokens are just a fun way to share with the community for any reason, and - they are blovkchain related so, I thought it would be neat to create. They are not "Official", just fan created and distributed to any Peeper

Sounds like a good idea. Also, @Bevan has included the tip option on peepeth in order to throw some $ peoples way as well. Also, and more importantly, when you tip other users, 10% of the tip goes to Peepeth to help keep the site going.

@Bevan #bug I am not able to reproduce this well enough to be insightful, but on occasion when I click in the Peep box at the top of the page the textbox gets pre-populated with a Twitter verification message. This has happened several times now on different days. Anyone else?
I tried it and did not get a pre-populated verification message...

#suggestion @Bevan - 1) Is there a way we can delete notifications after we read them? 2) Is there way we will be able to search for hashtags in addition to user names (say - #dogsofpeepeth).

The projects called hoard.exchange. Its a platform to give real ownership to virtual assets. Like in video games 🎮 or VR So like if you have a sword & went on vacation, another player could rent it w/a smart contract & youd earn 💰 Also enables assets to be used in >1 game
@Chris - Interesting post. I just gave you real ownership in a virtual (yet worthless) asset. You are now the owner of some PEEP tokens. Pass them around however you want

Just by asking. I sent you some. Pass them around. They aren't "Official" Peepeth tokens, I just created them for fun and to share.

Peep tokens? Where Can I find them?
@Plumber86 - you can find them on Etherscan and add the contract to your Metamask. They'll then be visible.
https://etherscan.io/address/0xee9d859eeaec3d8e3ff176a89b18edfc62c23728

Wow thanks @natestipe. Where do I see this?
@lion - You can see the token info on Etherscan by searching for PEEP. Click on the contract to get the contarct address. If you copy the contract address, you can go to Metamask, click add token then enter the address and they'll show up

Tokenised reactions are interesting. It’s a monetisation strategy for peepeth, though the cost of transfer is too high on chain. Need to use state channels, and a peeper could buy a batch of reactions to use. I also like ERC721 NFTs as badges. Then achievements are tradable.
@abcoathup - I know Hexel is working on creating a way to send tokens off chain which would remove the cost obstacle 4 widespread use. Not sure how/if tokens can be used in conjunction w/ Peepeth. They were near free to make and send out, so I thought I'd throw some out for ideas
@lion @abcoathup @ryker @Bevan @Davis - sent everybody PEEP tokens to share, think of fun ways to give them away
@shortcut @callmegwei - sent some PEEP tokens your way.

So, this will show you all my lack of knowledge on the subject, but...is the point of Peepeth being on the ethereum net just to create an immutable record of these communications? And, is that not possible with IPFS alone, with it's purpose to keep data permanent?
Hadn't noticed any response to this post and I was wondering the same thing. Anybody have any info?

Anyone here an owner of a Cryptopunk? Had the liberty of sitting down with Matt Hall at a Digital Art Festival to hear about he created Cryptopunks and the future of Digital Art and Assets. Very cool talk
Have heard of them until now. Looks interesting and "somewhat" similar to crypto kitties with the exceptions being that the total supply was created at once, given away for free and are now only available via a secondary market.

I created a PEEP token on Hexel. It's totally free (except for the gas when sending - which I'll cover). If you want some, let me know or you can request some through Hexel's site. You can send these to anybody for anything. https://www.onhexel.com/token/d715a228-1144-44b5-8b66-4
The token name is Flippers (you know, like penguin flippers and flippin some tokens to people) and the Token symbol is PEEP

Anybody know if you can PM on Peepeth?
#suggestion - is there a way to add any emoticons to a peep? For example, if we like a peep, adding a thumbs up/smile could let the person who peeped know without having to reply via peep. Emoticons could be offchain. That way they wouldn't add to the batch
Replying to @CallMeGwei (0x285bc660aa42b8effc6c60357cd4d8ca072be625)
I believe what Nate is saying is that they tried to verify the wrong Twitter name (typo)... and might not be sure if they can remedy that mistake and restart verification with the correct name.
The first time I tried it, it said the names didn't match. I just tried it again and I didn't get the same message so I went through with it. I rcvd the "60 minute verification" message so, I'll let you know if it worked or not
Anybody know if you can update your twitter info in Peepeth settings? I forgot to include an underscore and it looks like I cannot verify myself via Twitter for Peepeth

Thanks for bringing that up. I didn't know about onhexel.com yet and it looks very interesting. I second, that it could be a fun addition to Peepeth.
@shortcut @bevan - The team at Hexel is also working on being able to send tokens offchain as well in order to make it even cheaper (those pennies add up)
