Would appreciate your feedback if you try it out. It's in the Access tab in Settings.
I should give it a try too.
Fake news is not an editorial problem only but a technology problem too. Let's start to think of it like this and work to solve it "the nerd way".

Yes. What would it be like to remove timestamps from the UI? Also, what would a platform look like where top-level posts have no temporal ordering at all? This is meant more as a thought experiment than "do you want Peepeth to have no timestamps or temporal ordering", although that's welcome too :) Appreciate your thoughts on Twitter's AI feed!
Some post/tweets/peepeths needs timestamp to be comprensible. (i.e. trading advices). Some could avoid it (#ilke section, photo/meme posts maybe). Maybe you could create an alternative view of peepeth to discover new ways of serendipity.

Ah, do you mean for streaks? Improvements to that are on the way.
So what you was referring to? Timeline? I like chronological lists. I got lost on twitter when messed up everything in order to promote tweets using AI.

What if the time aspect of Peepeth were removed?
I think it's a funny original part of the project. Maybe could be nice give to it less relevance but I would keep it as part of the historical soul of Peepeth.

There was an attempt at a change log but I haven't updated it in a long time. I'd like to add one though.
Are you the only developer on the platform? Do you work on it on a dailiy basis?
Is there any git for #peppeth? Any changelog? I would love to be able to follow the evolution of the platform itself.

Wow. That's a wonderful plan. Enjoy it and keep us updated! :-)

The problem with the guy in the article is that he got notifications, BUT he didn't act on them. People like me who don't check their emails everyday are a point of failure in this system, because they won't act within 24h, and the security measures will thus be ineffective. -_-
As long as your mail provider and your carrier doesn't protect you by attack of this kind. I think any user can monitor this kind of frauds 24/7.

Online identity is a tough one to manage regardless of where you land. Someone can always use anything against you. Better be prepared, but hacks will still happen at some point. Thanks for sharing. :)
Their answer:
Firstly if you have 2FA enabled, just gaining access to your phone number is never enough to reset your passwd. Secondly, if a reset is successful it doesn’t take effect for 24h and a mail is sent to the account notifying you and giving you the ability to cancel it.

Yes, Sciacca and Agrigento. I'm staying til the end of May - almost over!
I am sorry you could not see the usual May for Sicily (and for Italy in the end). Usually on May you can go to seaside... the last two years here have been pretty unusual.

I actually like experiencing the different flavours of mundanity. Life sucks everywhere. Every culture is flawed. There's generally more noticeable negative or disappointing things about everywhere I go. I think perception is wired that way. But seeing the differences is at least exciting, and it makes me more appreciative of places as a whole. I don't think you travel to another country without improving yourself.
How long do you plan to stay in Sicily? Have you visited any other city on the island?

The first 2 help me keep costs down (also, cooking @ home helps me learn local cooking). I'm def not saying anyone gets rich by saving money but it's basic economics, the lower you keep costs the more runway you have. It also helps me appreciate the 'small stuff'. Visiting supermarket is always interesting, you really see what the local people prioritise.
I do totally agree with you. What kind of work do you do in Palermo?
Replying to @satsearcher (0x6348dbea8987c27f8462755e493f64d99c28dd05)
IDK if anyone cares about why or how I travel, but the primary motivation is challenge and I raise the challenge by doing my best to live like a local. - Rarely if ever doing tourist stuff - Shopping at supermarkets and eating cheaply - Renting apartments or living with friends - Making a genuine effort to learn the language and customs - (Probably most important) working
That's an amazing way of discover different cultures. Living like a tourist is always amazing but you are loosing reality, which matters most and can tell you the secret of those places.

A good picture can elevate a memory. But I've found the most important thing is not hardware but rather composing a shot thoughtfully. Which I could stand to do more.
You learned it after the overall quality of a photo shoot on a mobile phone was enough good.

2. The data on the “cloud” are not encrypted

I have 69,000+ photos on my phone. Easy access is a huge feature.
Eheh, I don't like to keep them on my phone (even if optimized). My photo storage counts over 300GB of photos collected over the last 20 years.
Anyway, I have seen some smart wifi SD card that allows to share pretty easly photos from DSLR cameras. Not that bad while on holidays.
Replying to @Bevan (0x30755d3e65c0cf46c35b72d11e52d941c5fc3a3e)
I bought a semi-professional camera ~4 years ago and barely use it. Ease and convenience trump marginal quality gains for me 99% of the time. However, the big camera takes some excellent shots when well-configured that I doubt even the newest phone cameras could match. I might take it on my next walk and post some pics.
I have a Canon DSLR too. I used to love it. Now I prefer to save space on my bags when travelling for work or holidays. I do agree the overall quality of DSLR is better but... is do we really need that quality for some random memories?
Replying to @abcoathup (0xefa5fc1a09e4137f696e993f9e54bd91a189b5eb)
Optical zoom, low light and waterproof are still issues for me. * For zoom I walk closer to the object. * For low light I don’t take photos. * For waterproof I try not to drop my phone in water. Our last waterproof camera died when it let water in and hasn’t been replaced. I miss photos from playing in the water though. For my vlog I use my phone and as well as for edit and upload.
Yes, phone cameras do still have some limits, I can see them too. For everyday usage they are great anyway and nobody thinks anymore to bring a compact camera out for a trip.
The trend is clear.
TLDR; Standalone cameras are dead.

Very well said.
A lot of journalists are actually clapping to Facebook and Google's "next steps for us are privacy focused" while they are only declaring they will stop sharing data. That's not privacy, that's the same shit. They will harvest your data anyway.
#Privacy does not mean "we won't sell the data we collected with or without your consent", it means not collecting information in the first place. Saying otherwise is at best disingenuous.
