Which apps do yo use to use Peepeth on iOS? I used Trust Wallet in the past but that one doesn't seem to support DApps like Peepeth no more. Only it's badges? Thanks for suggestions.

Hi dear Peepeth people, I just posted a link to a manifesto that I've written with three colleagues. (I realized too late that addressing you more directly would be better ;-)) You can read it at https://rhyzzo.com. I'm curious for feedback, helping hands and suggestions. Thanks, Jan

Oct 21, 2020 12:43

And if our manifest resonates with you please share our website or the PDF.

Oct 21, 2020 12:34

We think new solutions are urgently needed as you can determine from documentaries like "The Social Dilemma".

For the next stage we are actively looking for people who want to contribute to the realization of it. If you (or people you know) can help, please get in touch.

I'm happy to share with you our Rhyzzo Manifest on https://rhyzzo.com.

Glad you like it, Jan. This shot was taken in a fog forest couple years ago and its so soothing to realise that since then everything persisted in this photo went to soil and became part of live multiple times already. Living in the great monad :) Greetings to the Netherlands!

How can nature come up with something like this?

Nov 04, 2018 11:05

That's indeed a soothing realization David!

It has been hiding out there for awhile on mobile. Used to be on its own, but didn't fit on small screens. Will be updating the UI soon.

I figured that was the reason. Good luck with the redesign. I've studied to be a graphic/visuel designer. If you could use feedback at any moment feel free to contact me.

just happened to stumble upon a reddit thread in r/ethereum back in march. pretty great timing. :) how did you discover peepeth, @janpeeters?

I was researching decentralised apps on the blockchain for a project I'm working on that also considers using a blockchain. Was skeptical at first because I saw so many apps which only seemed to be about money that I was delighted to see the friendly penguin. And now I'm in love.

@bevan is the search button newly implemented after my support request? Must have overlooked it otherwise. On mobile it's still under my profile picture, would love to have that separated too because it's not really functionality that that relates to me. Same counts for 'About'.

Well, running a full node and keeping your own keys is pretty serious. Ledger devices, Trezors, heck even paper wallets are pretty serious! Honestly, I’m not a very paranoid guy. I use desktop wallets and even leave stuff on exchanges that have vaults.

That sounds serious indeed. Thanks for the info!

That's an interesting opinion on it, I certainly don't disagree but it also adds somewhat of a different dynamic to boosting content. I'm finding a lot of folks that seem to be creating hype surrounding hateful groups and news. Don't like that much.

Hey @wgmeets I think I'm saying the same thing. Where did I suggest otherwise? I don't like the concept of boosting. I know that you can buy a 'pro' Minds subscription which enables you to neglect boosts.

Anyone use #Minds? It reminds me of Google+ and how it let you create groups. It's interesting how they've made earning tokens for contributing to the network on site. I recently made an account there: https://www.minds.com/register?referrer=wgmeets

My main gripe with Minds is that it's so focused on gaining and buying. I can buy more views through boosts, but that's no guaranty that I provide quality to others. But I do follow it's development.

That is a good way to look at it! I keep like $50 on MetaMask for fun, because there are thousands of DApps to explore, test, collect, etc. I keep a small amount on Coinbase Wallet which is also a portal to Web3. Serious $ goes in serious wallets, w/ serious security.

Thanks Matthew. What would be a serious wallet service for you?

The new address is a new public address; to Peepeth, that's a brand new person (Peepeth only allows you to associate one address with your user account, and @janpeeters is already bound to your other one)

Great, thanks for confirming that. I think I got the hang of it now together with your other message.

This is an interesting one, because personally I like the idea of having an accountable, auditable address for all my public identities. But I definitely wouldn’t use the same address for Peepeth as my Ledger/Trezor/whatever future hardware wallet exists

My conclusion is that if I want to access a DApp for which I already registered in another wallet-app I need to login with the same 12 word phrase. (2/2)

If I understand you well, you’d advise me to use a different address (accessible via a 12 word phrase) for services that are not connected? That sounds like a sound advice. (1/2)
