Just got my two weeks early birthday present to myself. A Sous Vide circulator set up and a kitchen blow torch. I feel like an elemental wizard cooking with perfectly temperatured water and str8 fyre. Oh the steaks I will make.
Nice! Let us know how they work out. I may get a sous vide if I follow through with my resolution to cook more this year.

I wasn't let down. That looks like a beautiful tropical wonderland. I'm excited for the new updates to peepeth.
Thanks. It was great to get out today and see the countryside.
I'll probably keep the Bali updates separate from the Peepeth ones going forward.

I've always wanted to try that. Are there any warm or cool spots on your body or is it all just neutral?
It was pretty uniform. The air temperature was also controlled. I could only feel the sides of the tub when I bumped into them and the water rippling on my skin if I moved. There were a lot of body/muscle sensations though, as I wasn't used to the position I floated in to.
A short update from Bali: https://youtu.be/DNQMSD8YI_g
Appreciate your support!

Protein + fiber. It has some oil though. The Natto version of Japan is healthier but tempe tastes better.
It's time I gave natto another try as well :)

Wow, you got some Tempe there! I'm curious if you like that fermented soybean food. It's one of my favorites. An acquired taste though. And Indonesia is The place for tempe.
I did enjoy it. I always assumed tempeh was basically an industrial by-product of the soy industry, so avoided it. Good to eat it and learn more about it. Interesting to read about the fermentation aspect: "...gas and indigestion are greatly reduced by the Rhizopus culture."
Storm clouds rolled in, bringing heavy rain, thunder, and lightning.
I've always assumed tempeh was invented by California hippies, but turns out it comes from Indonesia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tempeh

Overall, it was a good experience and I'm looking forward to trying it again. Here's a drink I had before the float: turmeric & lime juice.
...and enjoyed a nice meal after the float, also at the float place. That was my second coconut of the day.

Luckily, the discomfort went away after about 20 minutes. Things started getting more interesting after that point. With minimal sensations, your thoughts get really "loud". It also felt much easier to stay focused on the sensations of breathing.

The sensory deprivation aspect didn't pan out, however. There's one thousand pounds of epsom salt in the tank to increase buoyancy, which stings if you have any cuts or scrapes. My skin was dry and porous from eczema + the long plane trip, so it wasn't exactly relaxing at first.

I tried a flotation tank for the first time today. The idea is that while floating in this dark, body-temperature tank, you're deprived of all sensory inputs. There are many supposed benefits, but I was most interested in seeing what would happen if I meditated in there.

Awesome! Have some gado-gado to begin with.
Thanks for the suggestion! I had to look it up: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gado-gado
Have added it to my list :)

I made coconut oil mayo today. First time making mayo but it turned out pretty good. Very rich and a slight hint of coconut. The good thing about coconut oil is that it lowers bad cholesterol and raises good cholesterol. Processed a couple of tomatoes into it for extra flavor.
Interesting recipe, will have to try that out. I'm a big fan of replacing other fats with coconut oil/milk. One of my favorite concoctions is a berry smoothie made with coconut milk instead of regular milk.

I truly am confused i thought the verification was to prove that it was me please let me know thanks
Sorry, the instructions could be more clear.
In order to prove it's you, first Tweet the special verification message, and then submit the link to that Tweet. The link should look like this:

OK, back to my hiatus. Later peepers! (and @Bevan you're the man, I hope Peepeth continues to grow and transform, and I hope #buidl_bali is fantastic!)
Thanks @scaur. Best of luck with txBatch. Looking forward to trying out the next iteration (and to your return!).

Yes, and all are super cheesy: 1. v2 will support 100+ chains & new power-user features to help FIRE away ticket answers 2. If we succeed in building + selling it then we go to BM 2019 3. If we fail in building + selling it I get FIRED (by myself, I'll have to find a new job)
I love it :) Pulling for #2!

So my Twitter verification failed so had to do it again and you think it went threw for free hell no first time was .84 cents could have been less but went with middle sending feature anyway trying again on cheaper price which is .64 cents which is wrong
Thanks for trying. I've refunded both attempts. If you want to try again, be sure to submit the link to the individual verification Tweet (rather than to your Twitter profile).

Looks like a similar version to ether.cards where the private key or BIP39 phrase is a scratch off... Having the address exposed allows you to prefund it.
I'm equally interested in the pitch and responses. How many people "get it" right away?

Problem with dapps: metamask reliance. What's the solution?
One solution for certain kinds of dapps is to generate keys for users, and let them take control when/if they decide. Native apps are another way to go.

Well, gastric is a long term thing. I was only alerted to the fact that I suffer from it, a couple of weeks ago. But, I'm hopeful that I'll be able to cope with it in due time... After all, people can live with diabetes, cancer, etc. So, I'm not going to let it get to me. 😎
