@Bevan - I DM'd you using your top secret alpha DM feature... email. 😉 You know what would be cool... is a public list of everything in your development queue and how they're coming along. For motivational purposes. Maybe we could even use some ETH to shuffle the list?
Thank you, will check!
Great idea! Yes my list is growing a lot recently. A lot of them are little bugs and things so not that interesting, but could do it for the major fixes / features so people can help prioritize.

@Bob, I read your "message to the world" and loved it... just had to share this with you: https://www.callmegwei.com/2017/11/20/icos-avoid-the-lemons/
Haha, awesome! Did you make that??

@callmegwei I was wondering if you had moved here! :) Leeroy was a fun, alpha test, eh?
Leeroy paved the way for Peepeth. Will share that story soon. Very grateful for @james' work!

Who gets to be the "real" @Ben? Also, shouldn't this be rejected in the smart contract somehow? Since alt front-ends will, no doubt, eventually pop up - shouldn't unique handles be guaranteed everywhere? Please don't let the @vbuterin scammers register 1000 identical names!
Yes, true. The second Ben does. The first Ben's transaction was never picked up and is still pending, which is why the second Ben was able to do a "front-running attack" and claim that username.
Uniqueness is enforced on the contract, and now on the server (was broken before).

As with everywhere I go, there's always music. I'll be sharing music that I write about and am listen to. Hope you peeps enjoy the tunes I share!
Thank you Randy. Am looking forward to listening.

So we blew past 500 Tx! Can you update us on user count? Any other interesting stats?
We sure did!
Yes, there are 154 accounts and counting. Closing in on 1000 peeps I believe!

Thank you, it's clear now. Guess, I'm not going to prove my Twitter account :)
No worries.
Verification is a "premium" feature. I'll be increasing the cost and adding more verification sources: github, URLs, I guess not FB anymore :) So far it's the only real revenue stream for Peepeth, but let me know if you have other ideas- need to make it sustainable!

I like the idea of immutability. It forces users to think more before posting and committing to the etherchain... I also like being able to quickly edit or delete mistakes from the front-end before they have been committed.
That's a good point. It's a different kind of creative constraint.
Still working on the pre-save editing. My list has grown in the last couple days.
Haha, I can't, Trust wallet is referring too many users :)

@bevan Thanks again for an awesome application! Do you know how the GDPR laws apply to this kind of implementation. I mean, it is very difficult to delete data (if even possible), and if requested, who has the responsibility of deleting the data?
Hi Matias, thanks for mentioning. An interesting issue. Nobody can control the protocol / contract of course, but Peepeth co. is responsible for the data this front-end caches. Haven't looked into GDPR much yet. Thoughts / suggestions welcome! https://www.eugdpr.org/

The decentralised web is clean, beautiful. Intrusive and dangerous web designs are a thing of the past. This is how it was meant to be. GNU Terry Pratchett (http://www.gnuterrypratchett.com/)
Welcome Joseph!
I'd like Peepeth to continue that trend. However, the front-end is just a web app and its creator merely human, so please let me know how the interface can be improved.

Lol I guess we found a bug...
Sorry all, my bad. The first Ben's transaction didn't go through. Peepeth should have prevented the account creation anyway through a server-side validation (which was faulty). Also, should have explained this possibility and suggested a higher TX price for signup. All in the Q.

Of course its because I left off http:// from the start of the link... just saw it working on another page. Looks like I get an immutable foot in mouth on the blockchain. ;)
Thanks for the report. There was some unexpected URL behavior in Toshi (on my iOS at least), but seemed to be cleared up in the latest release (a few days ago). Updating may help if you haven't already.

This is either going to be the most epic experiment on the Ethereum blockchain to date, or crypto's largest echo chamber. Either way, I am psyched!
Haha. I second Andrew's sentiment. Would be great to get "normies" on here too!

Was it for the Twitter Verify? I was charged 0.005 ($2.02). Thought it was also a bit high.
Oh, I'll make that more clear. The Twitter verification has a fee on top of the gas cost. As noted on the verification instructions, it adds an amount transfer to the transaction of 0.005.
Replying to @bishop (0xd982beddf13ccdbfc79d789a27f71d8161ce9dc9)
Still Total Amount + Gas - 2.06 USD, 0.005042 ETH
Peepeth's gas station is misleading. Twitter verification has a fee (currently 0.005) which goes to support Peepeth and cover the oracle's fee. The price quoted in Gas Station is just the gas estimate for the transaction. I'll make that more clear.

@bevan possible #bug. I am pretty sure that @hannah peeped this previously so could be potential issue with timing or the use case of peeping from China?
Yes this seems to be stemming from the China IPFS issue. Compounding this is the fact that ethgasstation has been down for 5+ hours so the safeLow price has been stuck too low; txs have been taking awhile to go through. Have set it manually for now to 2.2 gwei.
