@Bevan possible to get a badge or two?
Hey Arnav! Have added your nice video to the FAQ.
So far there is the Twitter badge, and the Malaria badge (peepeth.com/malaria). Pro badges forthcoming :)
Any other suggestions for badges much appreciated. Would like to have fun ones in the profile, like StackOverflow.

I think one of the most interesting and underlooked spaces in this transformation to blockchain is digital art. I had the privilege of attending a digital rare art festival in NYC months ago. It's amazing how they're using blockchain for digital art. Anyone else into this?
Would love to see that. Feel free to post such projects here!
Very glad that Peepeth is attracting artists. Great to see (and hear) original work (including by @yry, @mdotstrange). Love the photography as well. Blockchain doesn't have to be B&W!

@bevan #bug Getting repeated peeps on iOS when scrolling through new when trying to catch up on what happened whilst I slept.
Thanks, that and a related feature are in the queue. Hopefully today!

I don't understand what a product hunt is.. what is it please?
Hi Martin, good question! Product Hunt is a website where people post new technology products. It's Peepeth's first exposure to a non-crypto audience.
You can comment there, and even a leave review with pros & cons. The more discussion on PH, the more people will see it. Thanks!

Sorry for being unclear; I'm wondering why data is stored til the blockchain at all. Couldn't it be enough to just store to ipfs and sign with the wallet?
That's a good question. As @callmegwei mentioned, the blockchain is an index for all the Peeps, so people can easily find all IPFS hashes with Peepeth content. Also, saving to the blockchain proves who the sender is, and incorruptibly timestamps the data.

@Bevan #suggestion Maybe let us choose if we would like the Tweet box on or off by default? I have to uncheck it for most peeps... esp replies/repeeps because they would make no sense over on Twitter without context... but I don't want to disable Twitter forwarding entirely.
Good call. That's available in your settings now, there's a "tweet by default" checkbox which itself is checked by default.

Bravo! Getting easier to use all the time. Any way to have a public changelog (maybe outside of the UX like the stats link you provided?)

@Bevan #clarification So, I was noticing that the convo between @Hannah and @Plumber86 seems to be a little out of order. When you save to the blockchain, is the Peepeth time reset? He replies 1 hour ago to a question she asked 36 minutes ago...
Good eye! It's an issue specific to Hannah, she has to save to IPFS via the server because of where she's peepin' from. Will fix soon.

How long have you been in the crypto space and what keeps the flame burning? I got into it after reading about Silk Road, and the idea of digital currency blew my mind. Lost interest a month in, and back in October 2017 obsessed consumed me since. Wish I invested more then 😁
Great prompt Matt. I got into BTC in 2012/2013, integrated BTC into a few projects I was working on, and then got into smart contract development last summer.

@bevan #suggestion can you share any stats? Even if it is % mobile vs desktop. I peeped directly via IPFS and the smart contract. I tend to swap between Toshi, Cipher and Trust on mobile. There is at least one user (@micah) with Firefox and MetaMask extension on Android
It's about 50/50 mobile/desktop. Not too clear on Google Analytics what dapp browsers people are using; will start tallying myself. Many on Trust though.

Toshi has only recently made dApp browsing a first class experience. Trust recently added a dApp browser. Cipher was the first to offer a good experience. They are all moving very quickly (a credit to their teams and they are all on peepeth)
Really appreciate the teams' help! They continue to give advice and feedback and are referring users through their portals.

But also, in addition to flags and a mechanism for community moderation, I'd like to see some flags added for self-moderation, e.g. to enable users to "remove" posts they no longer stand behind.
Thank you, both self-hiding and threads are in the queue.

Thanks for getting back to me! I'm just trying to learn here; why store the ipfs hashes to the chain?
No prob. It's much cheaper than storing the actual data to the blockchain. First version of Peepeth stored everything to BC, was super slow. Also, this makes peep batching possible.

Safe to swim. In summer most suburban beaches have volunteer lifeguards. The only issue is storm water after lots of rain, so normally wait a day or two after heavy rain. Our beach gets lots of day trippers so there can be rubbish left behind :(
That's cool, looks very nice there.
When I was in Cairns I remember being warned against picking up any deadly-poisonous cone shells, which seemed to be everywhere and looked normal. Maybe my guide was exaggerating. Would love to go back though!

A vlog would be a great idea! It would show the community who donates, the work involved, projects, and end result of a family going through hardship not having to move or sell their home due to plumbing issues. This is something I definitely want to work on this year. Thanks!
Gary Vaynerchuk on YT is on the abrasive side but has a lot of vlogging / "personal brand" advice. Nomadic Movement on YT raise money for feeding the homeless, and show the whole process. Seems to work for them. Good luck, please keep us posted!

Probably a dumb question... Is it possible to make a Peep account associate with a different wallet? 😬 I'm trying to consolidate
Good question. It's possible, but it isn't implemented yet on the front-end. Maybe in within a week or so; bumping it up in the queue.

As a plumber, I’m looking into adopting crypto donations to fund indigent families who cannot afford a basic yet critical necessity. Selling their homes shouldn’t be a option, nor should dealing with 3rd world sanitary conditions. I’d like to do 1-2 of these a month. Feedback?
Hey Matt, I applaud your initiative. It's hard to even get people to donate to proven & accredited 501c3 charities, so raising funds could be difficult. However, if you had a vlog where you showed everything (except the beneficiaries), that might help (and be cool by itself!).
A huge thank you to @CallMeGwei for buying a mosquito badge!

Tipping is a possibility here - though the front end could facilitate peer-to-peer transfers... trying to sustain a social network without ads is nifty. Each post is saved to ipfs - but don't we still need a public database to build alt front ends in a trustless manner?
Yes, that's true. IPFS serves as the public database, so anyone can build a trustless front-end.

@bevan Is there an article on the architecture of Peepeth? I'm uncertain what the blockchain is delivering vs running the whole thing on swarm/ipfs. Is it only as a proof of existence / time of posting?
Hey Jon, there's a basic explanation at peepeth.com/how. Planning
a better writeup :) That's basically it, Peepeth has you save IPFS hashes to the chain.
