Nice! Cool that you got so close. What / who was the snake directed at? Isn't it usually a bad sign when they assume that posture?

My name is Hannah. I am 29. Today I took the high speed train from Beijing to Shanghai. I now find refuge in a cafe near Nanpu Bridge.

Because of the lighting and colors, you could almost be part of the painting. Have a good time!

Wow, nice shot! Would love to see the snake's eye view as well for context :)

Not sure if I've ever seen a poisonous snake in the wild.

mh is there a way to pay-it-forward on #peepeth ? eg. pay for someone's batching

That's a cool concept. Right now, as @pluma said, there is only tipping.

That's right. Though, I find this kind of sight among concretes at times. Moss and plants come out from concrete crack. Urban wild animals are between them.

I love this. Hard to imagine this in an urban setting! #lkie

Awesome! Didn't know they're still touring.

Thanks @blockaid for buying a Mosquito badge!

Charities vary widely in effectiveness. The Against Malaria Foundation is exceptional. The EA charity evaluators GiveWell, The Life We Can Save, and Giving What We Can rank it #1.

@bevan DappVolume is on ProductHunt today, but PeepETH isn't listed. It would be great to see you there! https://dappvolume.com/submit

Thanks for the heads up! Have submitted. I don't expect it to be featured though as the contract volume is low by design (they seem to be ranking on that).

One feature I would love to see on here that I think Twitter got right is "muted words" settings with the option to set a timeframe and forget about it. (not that I want to mute anything now, just saying it is a helpful setting)

This is on the way; thanks for suggesting!

So even though my transaction didn't go through (according to Metamask), it got batched in with someone else's transaction? Or is Metamask just not accurate?

Only you can save your peeps (txs must originate from you, until you reach 100 peeps, at which point Peepeth will save them for you). I think your subsequent saves included the peeps that you'd attempted to save in the failed transaction.

Interesting - hasn't done that yet and that was a number of days ago. Also have done some new saves since then.

In that case, the peeps were probably included in the more recent saves. Looks like all your peeps before two hours ago have associated transactions, so all is good.

Four things I see Peepeth needing in the short term - Mobile support (native), inline image pasting, language filtering and timeline tweaks (replies should show inline with original posts instead of repeating). What else is missing?

Thanks for the suggestions; 1 and 4 are near the top of the list; have added 2 and 3.

What happens to my Peeps if the transaction to anchor gets rejected by the network?

Hi Derek, in that case the backend will detect that your peeps were never saved. You'll see the "unsaved actions" prompt until the batch-save transaction is detected by peepeth.com.

Nice work on the scaling solution @Bevan! I used the same approach at Leeroy for a couple of days (see link below). Problem was the spam was crazy. Brilliant idea to make free posts unlockable instead of just opening the flood gates 👌

Thanks @james. Didn't realize you'd already tried it out! Interesting about the spam problem with free posting.

@bevan do you have plans to open source the code and involve community for collaborative development?

Yes, open-sourcing components is a goal, but the peepeth.com front-end will probably remain proprietary.

Finished #WhenBreathBecomesAir. Absolutely beautiful. Reads more like poetry than biography. Much less depressing than I expected. A good story about grief, striving for an asymptote of perfection, realism, and courage in the face of death. The author's last words were brilliant.

Thanks for mentioning this, have queued it up.

BTW Peeping is now free for those with over 100 peeps :)
