Good morning from sunny (hot) Texas. Hoping for some wicked awesome weather today (I like storms) and an ice cold Shiner to wrap up the day.

Stay cool, and enjoy the storm! Summer storms are one thing we never get here in the Bay Area.

We use turmeric in Indian cuisine extensively

I'm a big fan!

Interesting section from the first article:

"It also has been suggested as a possible reason that senior citizens in India, where curcumin is a dietary staple, have a lower prevalence of Alzheimer's disease and better cognitive performance."

I have been on #peepeth for a month or so now and I just want to say hats off to @bevan for creating such a great community here. I hope to see it grow and grow in the future!

Thanks Shea! I can only take partial credit though. Peepeth would be nothing without everyone peeping (and offering advice and suggestions). So thank you (and everyone else) for being here and setting the tone!

Looking forward to trying manuka. Have tried a bunch of honey varieties this year since learning the honey trick, but none from down under yet. Cool about the spirulina. Used to eat it but eventually forgot to buy more. My main antioxidant "supplement" now is turmeric w/ pepper.

Somewhat, this one was about $21 usd for 500g. Still yet to get my next batch of spirulina tablets (gifted the rest away) but I was taking the recommended dose of 6 tablets. Hyperconcentrated protein which was surprising, something like 2.7g in just one serve - for pills at that

@bevan, out of curiosity, where does Peepeth store images?

Yep, they're stored on IPFS, as well as AWS for performance. If you look at the contents of the peep IPFS hash, you'll see the IPFS hash for the image if that peep contains one.

Any ideas for Peepeth crowdfunding rewards?

Could be collectibles, special functionality, physical products, experiences, baked goods, pretty much anything you can imagine has been done :)

Still exploring options, but crowdfunding is looking appealing.

I'm looking to get started with #blockchain #development Any peepers have thoughts on B9Lab's Certified Online #Ethereum Developer Course vs. Udacity's Blockchain Developer Nanodegree? There is not much information out there 😕

Glad to hear that! I haven't tried either course. I've heard good things about Cryptozombies though. You also might want to check out @abcoathup's writeup on learning Ethereum development:

Behind the chalet there's a steep path that descends all the way to the little touristy town of Sinaia, in which we saw several chamois (Alpine goats). Unfortunately, they were too far away to get a decent photo, so here's another representative of wildlife #acrossRomania 😁

Love this. The mountains in the background look amazing. #lkie

These platforms will hopefully be a calmer version of Twitter. Ad-based systems distract and annoy, treating your attention as the asset. Being free from distraction is the real asset to incentivize around.

Yes. Thank you for this Nathan, and welcome!

My ongoing commitment to put my money where my mouth is. 4kg frozen greens (mostly spinach, I’m aiming for a Popeye effect), manuka honey, avocado oil (supplement to my normal staple of coconut oil), and ACV. Previous experimenting with spirulina is v. effective for energy/calm..

Curious if Manuka honey is any cheaper there (at the source)? It's a top-shelf item here, touted for its antibacterial effect, and retails for $20-$35+ (haven't tried it yet).

Also wondering how much spirulina you were eating to have a beneficial effect?

The tablespoon-of-honey-before-bedtime trick (on an empty stomach) is gold for morning energy. Sounds implausible but seems to have reliable effects if you're pretty low-carb.
