Having open communities that achieve things that we previously needed companies for is one of the things that excites me the most about Ethereum. Looking forward to this talk! #Devcon #governance

Evan has a peepeth account @evanvanness
Ah, indeed! I also contacted him on Twitter now that my account is working again. Let's see if we can establish @WeekInEthereum as an official Ethereum news account here :)

Thanks Christoph! Re: badge, it is indeed expensive. The crowdfunding campaign just ended (which had lower tiers) and this is an experimental addendum. Thanks to Ether.cards (and @DaveAppleton). There may be another chance to support the future (in more reasonable amounts).
Integration of DAI is a cornerstone to me. My willingness to use DAI for tips is many times higher than my valuable ETH ;)

For instance, team up with some crypto charity project and make it possible to let people donate to specific projects where half the donation goes into that charity and the other half goes into funding peepeth. And allow doing it in DAI.
I'd be 100 % on board to donate 3 - 10 DAI regulary. Especially if combined with some gamification.

@Bevan I think you should figure something out that incentives people to donate regularly (or even use something like the upcoming subscription ERC standard), in DAI and with a flexible amount decided by the user.

That is indeed super amazing! Huge props. Also @Bevan checkout https://peepeth.com/cburgdorf/peeps/Qmcxezn88389rXPFuNc2n1NHyZWeBm7kbd1gt3NZmHVw3b I hope DAI integration is on the radar.

All props go to @Bevan for that. He has some peeple to help him brainstorm, but he's still a solo dev. Amazing, huh?! Only thing more amazing is the community here.

On that note, I love how peepeth explores cost coverage / revenue strategies. The combination of open source + Ethereum comes with the implicit properties of having a *strong* incentive to come up with something fair. Otherwise, it's easy to fork into a fairer model.

Excellent choice! ;-)
And I must say, the UX has improved A LOT! It's honestly a super usable app already! Amazing job.
I was able to unlock my Twitter account but it was a wake up call. From now on, I'm gonna use peepeth + the Twitter bridge!
I'm locked out of twitter and bored. I kinda white hat sniped the @WeekInEthereum handle to turn ownership over to Evan (or a DAO?) to get us more solid Ethereum news here. Can anyone point Evan on twitter to this? Maybe @ligi can you help me notify Evan on twitter?
Got rid of that clean look! #Devcon

1 ETH is too much for me right now but I would happily pay something like 30 DAI for this. Apart from that I *love* that peepeth is trying to figure out ways to create a service where the community pays for its cost.
The power of opensource + ethereum sets a high motivation / incentive for projects to strive for fair balance systems as otherwise fairer alternatives will be forked into existence. I think peepeth is a great social crypto experiment with a great outlook.

I guess if twitter just keeps locking down random crypto user twitter accounts they may actually help us with adoption over here :)
Fully agree. Encourage people to watch it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtC0g75Ju1E&feature=youtu.be&t=235
So, I guess Twitter locking my account is a great motivation to move to peepeth isn't it? Kinda sucks as I'm a twitter addict especially over #devcon. But maybe that could also be a good thing.
I'm excited to share that I've joined the Python team at the Ethereum Foundation as a Senior Software Engineer.
