Hi there! I'm Ethereum dApps developer in Japan. Now my dApps is live! Please try it out! http://digitalartchain.com/ Here you can convert your image file to Ethereum ERC721 token.
Trying to upload now, but after a short burst of network activity, nothing happens for a while and then it displays a broken image icon. Do you have a file size limit enabled?

Need a feature to filter to only the languages I speak. I'm not against other languages of course, I just can't read them! :)
If you're using Chrome. Click on the peep, then right-click and choose "Translate to English" from the menu. Sorted.

Dry ice? Plutonium? Kryptonite?
Nope, just clear plastic or perspex or similar. It's all in the light, specifically my wife's UV nail polish drying light.

You can see my old office down there, except they knocked down I think so you probably can't. :-)

so confused, what does #lkie mean?
It's a typo, that stuck. Was originally meant to be #like.

I humbly present to you my first post, in the spirit of Peepeth, a collection of some of my bird paintings #firstpeep #art #birdsofpeepeth
Welcome. And thanks for the awesome #firstpeep.
Q for @bevan. Given saved peeps are saved for posterity, how will Peepeth handle DMCA takedowns should somebody peep an other's IP? E.g. if a user posted somebody else's photo and claimed as their own work.
Who remembers the days when no website was 'complete' without one of these?

Thanks for reporting. Another user in China has had the same issue. Have built a workaround for that user & will make it an option for everyone.
Great news. Is this option something that I'll have to manually select?

I c what you did there. I really should have said Go! Python! but I hadn't had my morning java when I posted. A pretty basic programmers mistake.

The term "expert" has been thrown around on the internet so often that it's lost all meaning
If "x" is the unknown quantity and a "spurt" is a drip under pressure, then an "expert" is an unknown drip under pressure.
I'm not alone, yay!

A lot of us use brave here... it's my daily, though sometimes I miss chrome
It also looks like Brave doesn't have a released Linux version yet, only dev builds. Maybe not a problem, but could cause instability.
So Peepeth is having one of those days where I need my VPN on to view the feed but must switch it off to post anything. Any thoughts on why VPNs should make life so difficult @bevan?

I just installed @Brave web browser. Any other users here?
Nope, Chrome here. I need to try Brave again, but for me, Chrome still has the "must-have" features of frictionless user profiles and in-line translation.

people have been settled here for centuries and know that they have willingly decided to live very close to a volcano with fluctuating activity. a lot of this land is designated for native hawaiians only and has been theirs for generations and it may be all that they ever have.
Interesting story from Reuters on the same subject. I guess I'm not alone in posing that question. :-)

There's also a leader board to showcase our #peepleaders and Peepeth points leaders. Would appreciate your feedback on those features, or on anything else. Thanks for all your help and suggestions! https://peepeth.com/leaders
Hmm. I'm not sure of the benefit of a #peepleaders list, after all, it's inevitably going to be skewed towards early adopters. Perhaps separate lists for leaders today, this week, this month etc. would be a more meaningful system.
Tha balance is shifting.

Thanks for the background. I was looking at Google maps and some of the residential areas looked fairly recent, hence the question.

so it begins. http://www.staradvertiser.com/2018/05/03/breaking-news/magma-activity-eases-but-eruption-still-possible-on-big-isle/
I'm struggling to understand this. Why do people build residential areas so close to active volcanoes? Or was the volcano considered inactive?

Siri says "Ok I found this" in a charming Australian accent. Then she prints "anglais". Does yours attempt to pronounce the French translation? @abcoathup
So you have the first Siri to actually get the translation right. Everyone else who has tried (with US and UK Siri) gets 'Effet' as the result.
I'm using the US Siri and she speaks the answer to translations.

Effet
Yep. That's the answer everyone gets.
Ask Siri: "Say English in French"
Post the answer in a reply.
(She gets it completely wrong for me and my daughter)
Today I got a random invite to https://dock.io?r=frasersmith:aaaaBEUC from an ex-colleague. It looks interesting though I'm not sure if it can shake up the "LinkedIn" space. (Full disclosure: That's a referral link. I earn 'DOCKs' for verified sign-ups.)

Non-crypto, yes. But still feels pretty cryptic to me. :-) But, that's a good sign. The problem I see with any network is that the early conversations are often mostly related to the network. There's a tipping point where other subjects take over.
And when that point is reached, the network has more chance of sustained growth. Just my random opinion.
