- I felt fucking horrible, like my body was rebelling against me, and I quickly got up to get dressed. Trying to play it off like "wow that's enough I need to go" rather than "what the FUCK how dare you do that without warning or asking me" - The guy immediately started apologising, saying that he thought I'd enjoy it, didn't realise I would take it badly... began shaking and crying - The front door was locked #nsfw

- At that point my shock/humiliation/fear turned to anger, I got more forceful telling him he needed to unlock the door
- He went and got the keys but still wouldn't unlock
- I had to emotionally counsel him saying it's alright, it's just a miscommunication, I wouldn't report him
- Even had to hug him before he would open the door
- Spent the next ~24hrs drinking & smoking (which I hardly EVER do) #nsfw

I hadn't used CS before, but my first experience was really good - a lovely Brazilian girl (pic attached) let me stay in her house for a week - When I got there it started off legitimate, though orange flag #1 it was at his house, and orange flag #2 he asked me to get fully nude - I wasn't used to this kind of physical touch, and although I did have...

Social media holiday is becoming easier the longer I stay off. But I know from spending 2016-17 off, it isn't good for building/maintaining a public identity. So I gotta weigh up the pros/cons.

Pros to social media (if used to build a public identity):
- Job/investment offers
- People will spring to help you with different stuff if they see you have a problem
- Exposure to new ideas

Cons to social media:
- Advertisements and content designed to waste your time
- Easier to mindlessly post rather than do real-world stuff
- Distracts from personal reflection & goals
- Comparison anxiety, outrage culture

It's wild how almost every important service you use allows you API access...

... Except your bank.

Realised just how spoiled I've been with transparent, easy to use, easy to connect cryptocurrency.

And yet me and my blockchain friends complain about it being tricky. Lol

Brasil is great and I am seriously considering moving here. Sure there's crime and the politics are messy, but no one told me how great the culture is. One of the most untouched and beautiful places on Earth. And a lot of opportunity for improvement, some big problems to fix.

What kind of work were you doing that was too hot for the day?

Programming

Sep 09, 2019 23:09

Monday: too hot to work during day.
Begin at 7pm when it begins to cool down... end up going til 4am.
Sleep on a hammock.

Tuesday: get woken up at 6:30am on said hammock by dog licking my slightly open mouth. Instantly alert.
Have breakfast, slackline for an hour listening to Iron Maiden.
Volunteer at local university.
At 4pm decide to nap.

Wednesday: apparently my nap was 15 hours.
Beautiful morning.

My Peepeth use has directly decreased/increased in proportion to my use/lack of use of Twitter. They serve the same purpose of shortform info exchange. So it is a competition. For me Peepeth's no 1 obstacle to beating Twitter is lack of reach.

Originally I used both equally, finding the content here more interesting, but my priority has changed from interesting content to meeting people and building relationships.

I only bought it when I got blessing to start it as a “side hustle”, and shortly after chose to go full time... which means it’s been a year of doing this... the company I worked for now bankrupt, my original idea a dud, working with a cofounder I have never met in person, lived in 5 new countries, and 99% of my net-worth now in crypto. As part of trying to understand more cultures, I'm reading the bible. A lot of good stuff here... my interpretation of this is "do what you're made to do, not what others want you to do." Christ is an ideal, right? The highest value, god in human form? Well it makes sense that you are serving the highest value when you do what you're made to do. Is the "inheritance" meaning/fulfilment?

If anyone can recommend me a good Quran and/or Bhagavad Gita translation please let me know, too! I'm also curious about traditional practises like Tarot/dream interpretation... how we throughout history have made sense of life
