While thinking about what I can do against the #climatechange, I can't get over the fact that those who need to jump from old car to old car are not able to switch to EVs anytime soon. The price point ist just way to high. I'd like to but fall I to the same category. #sigh

Lol the post couldn't be loaded for me. Maybe because I'm not registered at Facebook. However, I hope everyone is well.

Once I was on the "top peeper" list (I think so at least) and got dragged to other interests after that. However, coming back here occasionally makes my day better even if I don't peep that much.

Hopefully it doesn't get so bad with the rain like here in Germany several days ago.

Basically I would say I'm mostly balanced. Depending on the source of the information I tend to one of the other.

How do you experience the COVID pandemic?

For me it is a business booster. So much companies are trying to convert to home office and need hardware which we deliver. Also it created a shift in how we work. "work everywhere" gets way more attention than before.

What about you?

While being at home with the family and experiencing wonderful days inside as well as outside in the wildernis, getting back to work and being able to make customers happy is as great too. #worklifebalance

I can confirm that. Got my dog Sam in a bad time. Was laid down and therefor stuck at home for a long time. He helped me a lot to get moving again and gave me the hope that it gets better. Now I'm 'back in business' and do regret nothing.

Staying in contact is technically easy these days. However for some people it is not that easy regarding to the personality. Not everyone like to talk to the same person every day or week repeatedly. For others, this mentality looks like they "don't like them". This makes me sad.

Getting a 6-year old a used phone as well as a pc is something strange in the first place. Teaching him the basics in media use based on the experience as an IT-guy is another thing.

How old were your kids when they first got a phone/pc?

While having a good relationship with the family, I find that helping them whenever they ask is a good way to say thank you for any help they gave in the past. Also, it can harden the bond between people not only within the family. Just make sure you don't get exploited for it.

I can rely to this. The current way is providing easier access but also a lower barricade for spam (or at least non-mindful posts).

Currently rebuilding my home office. Not sure if I should place a drywall behind the desk space to simplify cable management or go the 'budget' way and place cable canals. Any recommendations?

Might be a failure in the automatic system that powers down the lights when there is enough natural light. Maybe the sensors were dirty too. In fact, the light went off an hour after my post.

I'm working on my own web-based dashboard for my OpenHAB installation. GET and POST via AJAX through the API and data handling via jQuery.

I'm still looking around for another supplier to give it another try. Sure, price difference is something I would consider as irrelevant when it comes to healthy food. Still, higher price needs to have a good reason. If Sammy tolerates the new food, I will pay the higher price.

Had used a dog food service for food with natural ingredients months ago. Unfortunately the food was nearly ten times the price of food from the supermarket and my dog Sammy did not really tolerate the food well. Therefore I switched back to the standard food.
