Toshi is coming to desktop. Just like multiple projects are helping move mobile forward, this is great news for the space. https://twitter.com/toshi/status/1000091890396618752?s=21
Sweet.

Another great thing about Peepeth: no ICO, no useless ERC 20 token
I totally agree with the monetization aspect, but there are other ways too, like fees or treasury systems. I think a lot of things could just be handled with ETH instead of a token that has essentially the same properties. From a user perspective, for example, why use $BAT?

Does anybody use the Brave browser's $BAT function to pay for content? Is it good? An alternative to paywalls/subscriptions?

I really like it, especially on mobile. However there are still some minor glitches, for example I can never log in to Binance. The monster always eats the image (works fine in Chrome though).
Thanks, that actually works. Should solve a similar Bittrex issue too.

How do you like Brave? I’ve become very fond of it but was too used to everything in sync with Chrome. Def will keep using it.

Trust is great and is developed by @vikmeup, who's active here and very responsive to feedback. Peepeth also works great on Toshi & Cipher, who recently joined forces. Their teams are on here too (@sid @pete).
Perfect, I'll give it a go. BTW Peepeth is awesome, keep up the good work!

Hey Phil, thanks for asking. Also check out https://peepeth.com/help/mobile
Ah, thanks! I don't know any of these three, is there one you'd recommend?
Hey guys, what's the best way to peep from an iPhone?

This is an interesting dynamic, and perhaps even a false narrative; by placing our data literally on an immutable public blockchain, are we <i>really</i> paying for our "privacy"? To me, it seems like we are actually making our data more freely mineable to <b>everyone</b>. 🤔
Maybe build the next Peepeth on a privacy chain like Particl 😁

IMO, game changer in shifting from the old internet business model of funding through advertisement revenue to the new internet era of users "paying" for their privacy.
Peepeth being another prime example

I think Brave and BAT can be a great way of monetising the web instead of ads. Combined with Brave's privacy features, that's powerful long-term. BAT will gain value as Brave grows its user base (both content producers and users). Personally I'd be quite optimistic.
(on a side note, I don't hold it)

Where do you guys see Brave and $BAT in the future or next few months/years?

Numa, which is also interoperable with the Fediverse (to some extent) https://numaverse.com/
Thanks @sonya!

Your in good company then - we're all excited! Welcome!
Are there other services that use this combination of blockchain/IPFS/micro-transactions?

Is there anything that would keep Peepeth from selling the data? I am unfamiliar with the governance policy.
Well is there a company or similar entity that could actually sell the data (real question)?

Just in case ...
Thanks @markgoldrup!

So it's like Twitter but posting costs $ETH? Hmmm
I think it's great... that way you make sure that no one sells your data... Plus $0.01, it'll take me a long time until I peeped one buck away ;)

The power of compound interest.

Mostly due to the "stateless" smart contracts the dapp uses, which significantly reduces storage and therefore gas costs. Puts the onus on the front end to parse the transaction inputs rather than be fed by smart contract events. See more here: https://peepeth.com/front_end
This is awesome. Thanks!
Really cool project – can anyone explain how these micro-transactions for peeping etc are actually possible? I.e. how can I send a transaction that's just $0.01?
