What’s up peepeth? Long time not seen. Everything cool here?
Getting an #enzõ for posting ice cream. Now i get it. 😃 Thx @arf!
Today’s ice cream.

Oh no, i broke my #peepstreak. 😢

the background hashtags e.g. #gratitude
Yeah, a hashtag cloud would be cool. I love them when I see them (slow loading in Trust Wallet).
Interesting. I know that picture and i know that i saw it moving. But right now it is just a still image. Am I too relaxed? 🥴

I bought the exodus 1 for 19.84 LTC at the very bottom of the market. I love the phone, but I think that was a mistake... haha!
Yup, they had a very bad timing with the first one. At least for buyers.
I think that could work out as good little nodes, even if the smartphone is not that good. When it comes out it is very likely to cost less than 1 ETH. 😃 https://www.engadget.com/2019/05/11/htc-exodus-1s-blockchain-phone-node/
Pixel Buds do that for years now?

Any recommendations for interesting places, local stores, or blockchain community(friendly for non-German speaking) to check out in Berlin, Germany? I’m traveling there in this July. Thanks in advance! 🙏✨
What I totally like in Berlin is just grabbing something to drink and watch the city life. So interesting to see the diverse people. It’s like a world trip happening in front of you. I would also recommend the more dangerous places like Kotti, but handle with care.

Well done. How did you meet the stranger?
He‘s a reader of our site, caught me on social media and asked for „a date“. Normally I don’t meet with our readers that way. There is a reason why i am an internet guy and not a street worker. 😃
Tried something new today. 😃 meeting with a stranger. What was planned for one hour ended in an over three hours talk that was really nice and brought some new perspectives. Great stuff.
When was the last time you tried something new? And what was it? To be true, I can’t remember when I tried something really new (maybe that meatless burger patty two weeks or so ago, but that‘s not what I mean). That must change.

Rare watering day for our tiny #cacti. These little friends are 6 years old. There is one spoonful of soil in here, no more! This is the smallest container plant I've got; thought it was worth a peep. 🌵🔍🐧 Have you got #microplanting to share? #gardening #cactus #succulents
This is cool. Do you feed them ferts? Can’t imagine they survive 6 years from that tiny bit of soil.
What blockchains are you using daily? Just eth or others like trx and eos too?

how do you get the star and fire? i made a donation for the mosquito already!
The fire one is peep-streak. Just keep peeping every day. The star one is crowdfunding when I understood that right. No clue if you can still get that one.

Apple haven’t come to grips with dApps yet. dApp browsers could undermine the App Store. This issue isn’t new and has been going on for a while.
I knew that they cracked down on wallets when the big bull run happened. But I didn’t know they reject dApp browsers because of the dApp lists. That is ridiculous. This takes censorship in the App Store to a whole new level.

In my opinion: MetaMask + Apple App Store restrictions. On mobile you either need to use a dApp browser (which 18 months ago hardly existed) or write an app (and deal with key management). Asking users to copy a private key into every mobile app they want to use is super awful. Universal logins is a potential way forward. If the mobile app sells NFTs then need to factor the App Store tax. When we see a Crypto Kitties app, we will be on the road to seeing this handled. On mobile dApp browsers, we are seeing restrictions where they can’t even show a list of dApps. Which makes dApp discovery hard.
Thanks for that. Can you explain the restrictions on showing dApps lists? I understand the rest.
If you wonder why I ask. I use (!) crypto (mainly eth) for several years now. Today was the first time I needed to install Metamask (and that TronLink thing) on Desktop to get something done. That’s not how I imagined the future. 😃
What I find interesting: There are almost no crypto projects that follow „mobile first“. Is there a reason for that? Any dev that could explain (looking at you @abcoathup)?

Advertisers.

A lot of journalists are actually clapping to Facebook and Google's "next steps for us are privacy focused" while they are only declaring they will stop sharing data. That's not privacy, that's the same shit. They will harvest your data anyway.
Yeah, me as a journalist isn’t clapping. Same goes with google. They are both data driven, it would be insane to believe that they actually care about privacy.

I hear the Face ID is a bit inconvenient, but I do like the design/specs. Will consider
I never ever heard of anyone that actually used Face ID that it is inconvenient. Even sceptics say after a few minutes that it works great. I loved it on the X already, Xs is even more reliable.

That's the thing. I did cook them in the sous vide but I was testing if they could be cooked for a couple of hours instead of thirty minutes. Came out really mushy instead of rubbery. Still tasted like shrimp but the texture was not on point.
Same problem when sous-viding (is that a word?) duck breast. Too long makes it livery, not good at all. Whereas you can keep beef as long as you want in the warm bath.

#Privacy does not mean "we won't sell the data we collected with or without your consent", it means not collecting information in the first place. Saying otherwise is at best disingenuous. #PrivacyMatters #PrivacyAware
Very well said.

Is it really worth the hype? I don't like Google, but if I can root it and remove undeletable apps, I'd consider the switch to Android
Well, if you don‘t like Google, go for iPhone. 😃 I personally love the size of Xs as it is somewhat compact in todays perspective. Xr would be my choice though, if it wasn’t that big.
You people here are crazy. The good kind of crazy though. But what really bothers me is the „closed“ thinking. Sometimes I wonder if people still have the ability to look left and right instead of in the mirror.

Providing a way for people to earn crypto while doing something similar to what they'd normally be doing (hanging out on a social platform), without technical barriers to use, seems like a reasonable route to more adoption to me.
That is assuming that social media doesn’t work today. Over 2 billion monthly active users on facebook tell otherwise. There is only a tiny fraction that cares about privacy and stuff. People just don’t care if it works for them. Which it does today very well for most.

I talk with #crypto social media platform Minds.com CEO Bill Ottman about how juggernauts like Facebook don't care about your privacy & how Minds is doing things different. We talk censorship and how social will drive mainstream adoption. https://bit.ly/smc-podcast-12
I did not listen, but would like to use the main claim as a discussion starter. Why on earth would someone think that it is social media that will push crypto mainstream? This is nuts.
Are you interested in online games (dApps of course) or all just hard working people? I wonder if it is worth it to start a little giveaway here. But you all seem so focused on your work. 😃

HTC Exodus 1. What else would you choose as a blockchain guy? The new Pixel 3a is nice too though, if you don’t have a problem with Google itself.
What do you think about that Google will bring tracking protection to Chrome, but only for third party tracking, not for Google trackers? Unfair advantage over other advertisers?

Hello! Thought we'd take this opportunity to introduce ourselves :) MSquared specializes in #blockchain. Marketing takes a bit of a back seat in the space, and we'd like to change that because it plays a crucial role in adoption. Blockchain adoption changes the world. 🌎
Good to do that on a blockchain centric network like peepeth. 😃 Jokes aside, this is what totally is needed. Make blockchain known to those who are not interested in the technical side.

I'm of the opinion that Google has been doing Blockchain tech undercover for quite some time now. There is NO way they wouldn't have heard about Bitcoin/Blockchain over the past 10 years...even less likely is the probability of them not acting upon this knowledge for so long...
Let me be more precise: No user facing blockchain though. 😃

It took me a moment. It’s not over yet for Fiat. Crypto payment isn’t as easy as Apple Pay (yet).
Well, in terms of web use it is. It makes no difference if you use Apple Pay or some crypto wallet like Trust or Opera. It‘s the sellers who need to catch up at this point. And they should not use things like Coinbase Commerce but a real implementation.
Have a nice week, peeps! Anybody excited for Google I/O? They got a lot of things coming. No blockchain though. 😃
I had what you hyper active people call a super lazy weekend. I didn’t even check the net too much. I always feel bad when I read about people working (or working out, haha) when I‘m lazy. But my next lazy time will be two weeks away now. Wish it was here already. 😃

Their walled garden just got smaller. Hopefully they face a backlash over this and start losing users. No users = no $$$ for Zuck...
Well, what Facebook itself is losing on its network is made up for by WhatsApp and Instagram. Zucks best investments last decade. Facebook will last at least another decade. It will be more platform than network though in near future.

Has anyone else come across this? #Firefox disabling #MetaMask for no particular reason? It's like FF are begging me to stop using them.
Firefox has a huge problem with extensions today. They disabled all, but a fix is out already. https://mzl.la/2Y5WZkc

If it's a stand alone website, then that's harder to nail down. If you have a choice of front ends and can move between them all with ease... well, that's a big deal. One that hasn't been a thing before.
I totally agree from technical standpoint. But I still think almost everyone looks from the wrong perspective at those things. The mass doesn’t care for choice (heck, Facebook has more than 2 billion users). They care for simplicity. Combine simplicity with blockchain. Boooom!
