My portfolio is mainly ETH (50%) BTC (15%) and the rest are long term alt investments. I am really excited about upcoming securities token standards like Polymath and their proposed ST20 securities token.
I'm a similar portfolio. ETH with all the applications + code being written on the platform right now. I can see it taking off as these platforms become larger and more adopted. BAT is the other alt I like, the team is great and the concept is excellent.

Hey! I encourage everyone here to check out https://blockstack.org/ . They are trying to build a decentralized internet where users ACTUALLY have full and exclusive ownership over their data. https://www.graphitedocs.com/ is currently my favorite Blockstack app :)
Thanks for sharing this! Always looking at new decentralized projects. Interesting to see in 5 years what decentralized apps, projects, and sites actually ended up taking off!

Leeroy notice to join peepeth. Peepeth is standing on the shoulders of giants. Thanks @james https://leeroy.io
I saw this as well! Do we know what happened here and why? Did they partner and move everything to Peepeth? I didn't actually use Leeroy, but I heard it was far more expensive to run effectively.

@bevan #suggestion I believe it has been raised before but with the amount of peeps, threaded replies rather than replies appearing as repeeps I think would be an improvement.
+1

Until I have a replacement for two sets of grandparents then I am still using it for grandkid photos. Though I don’t use it for much else now. Now to move the friends off messenger.
That's the tough part, I want to delete it, but there's no easy alternative, who's going to be the facebook killer?!

I love being able to follow people involved in blockchain without seeing posts about btc/eth price and TA all the time :) Thanks #peepeth
I didn't truly realize how great that is until you just mentioned it...so refreshing

Looks well done but feel it's a bit too expensive, or is that just me? I love me some collectables but haven't dabbled in the crypto side due to me thinking most are too much eth for a single character/pet/thing.
I agree, that was my first question to the creators is how they plan to scale and adopt at such a high entry point...apparently, when it goes live they will be much cheaper, the appeal of getting in now + more expensive is "rare" traits you get now that won't be available after

haha all good man, you'll either see me with as part of the first wave of new age digital pokemon, or just another CK clone that dies before it starts...

Has anyone looked into Axie Infinity? New blockchain project built on ethereum that allows you to collect, breed, and fight digital creatures you adopt and raise. Artwork looks great. Was chatting with creators + developers on the project and looks awesome. Anyone check it out?
@balresch yes, I've also been noticing alot of clones and cheap knock-offs and steered clear of most. This looked a bit more legit. A few hours spent researching, chatting on their discord channel, just spent like .2 eth on one in their "pre-sale" we'll see what happens hah

super duper into this. art is everywhere! art NEEDS to be everywhere. the more exposure we have to it, the better!
Agreed! @pluma check out Dada NYC, there's some pretty cool stuff in digital art happening there. They have this page where you're able to all paint off the previous person's artwork, creating one long continuous string of art, it's very cool!

For sure! @Peepeth came in right on time. While the major tech company whales ban the crypto ads, and manipulate the market. This will give developers and coders time to keep working, progress, continue to peruse visions. 👾
That's a great point. The amount of new Dapps and projects I'm seeing pop up each week is evidence of how fast and big these visions are getting!

I need to buy the cat. I love unique digital assets, the owning, the collecting and the trading. It’s my day job and my life.
Yeah there are cheap and even some free digital art pieces on Dada's site. Have you heard of Axie Infinity? Pretty wild. Basically, it's digital creatures built and owned on the blockchain that you can breed, evolve, and fight. It's expensive but very cool.

Would love to see that. Feel free to post such projects here! Very glad that Peepeth is attracting artists. Great to see (and hear) original work (including by @yry, @mdotstrange). Love the photography as well. Blockchain doesn't have to be B&W!
Yes, it's very cool! Personally, I'm not an artist, but I loved learning about the space and how blockchain can help artists get more from their work and better verify ownership and prevent fraud. There's a lot of cool digital art being made and sold on Dada NYC

I recently got mentioned Pixura and it sounds interesting. What event did you attend?
It was called Rare Digital Art Festival back in January. It was hosted by Dada NYC which is a cool growing Digital Art site and had a lot of big people in the space like the creator of CryptoPunks, CyrptoKitties, Decentraland (which is so wild) and a lot more.
I think one of the most interesting and underlooked spaces in this transformation to blockchain is digital art. I had the privilege of attending a digital rare art festival in NYC months ago. It's amazing how they're using blockchain for digital art. Anyone else into this?
I can follow myself? Lion following Lion? "What if Lion made a song about Lion Called 'I miss the old Lion?' Man, that'd be so Lion. That's all it was Lion, we still love Lion. And I love you like Lion loves Lion" ($1 tip for 1st to know reference)

My customer was going over with me on how she purchased her house a year before the market crashed. Went from 200k to 71k. I told her “I understand where your coming from. Are you familiar with cryptocurrency?” #guessimgonnahodl
haha, love it! Gotta keep hodling. The recent news of FB, Google, Twitter banning crypto adds def influenced the prices going down, but in my opinion, it should be viewed as a good thing because they're getting rid of the scammy ICO and "crypto genius" bs ads.

Hello Chris and welcome! I heard about Peepeth from @sid on Twitter. He posts a lot of great content. I imagine the future of Peepeth is going to be game changing for social media, journalism and the free flow of information. It’s model is a threat to Twitter if they don’t adapt.
Thanks John! Nice, I'll have to give him a follow. I've had the Toshi app for several months now and was very fired up when I found all the Dapps they listed and found this among them. Yeah I've heard and see similiar visions of what they're doing here.

Welcome Chris. I found out about peepeth less than a month ago when still in beta. It’s been mainnet for a couple of weeks. In that time it is now working on mobile dApp browsers with loads of improvements as well. It’s a brand new world.
And a hell of an exciting one at that! Thanks for warm welcome Andrew

What is everyone using to access Peepeth? I know MetaMask is great and Toshi does a decent job on mobile. Any other Dapp browsers out there?
honestly I stumbled across this after doing a deep dive into Toshi's Dapps. Among them are some really odd and interesting games, collectibles, and marketplaces. Decentraland is one of the most interesting I projects I've been watching.
Hello Peepeth World! (man haven't written a message like this since Myspace). How did everyone find about Peepeth? How do people envision it's future? Do people view it as a threat to Twitter or complimentary? (yes I ask such deep, thought provoking questions).
