I did some research on how well #Bitcoin is scaling in the bull market. Things are not looking good. https://twitter.com/jordan_mack/status/1129131018504458241
Pretty much expected.
I personally think that all these so called "bull runs" are nothing but cleverly engineered stress-tests of the blockchain.
Every time devs introduce a new feature to Bitcoin, there will be a "bull run". The 2020 halving is next on the calendar... :)

Yeah probably a poor choice of wording. Since blockchain is immutable I can’t change it. But immutability is good for contrast and comparing to see where I can improve. I’m not a huge fan of abortion. But I can’t force someone to do or not do anything.
You got it. :)

I see what you did there ;) But yeah... saying this quietly, I can't help but compare how Binance has reacted to their hack to my former employer Cryptopia. Binance has had a loss an order of magnitude higher, yet when it happened they were fully transparent and did all they could to include the community and take ownership. Cryptopia have just gone into liquidation, laying off most of my old coworkers since Feb.
It is quite the shame, heh?
At the same time, when you have been walking a thin line for a while, any incident will leave you broken.
Binance knew a hack would happen sooner or later. They came prepared. Cryptopia didn't...or couldn't?

It’s a human life and ending a life is murder. We can justify our disregard for the value of human life. The minute we try to determine what value life is and who or who does not qualify as a human being, then atrocities like the holocaust happens.
Once again, CONTEXT matters. Blanket statements cannot be applied.

If they can’t afford to leave the state to murder infants, than they shouldn’t afford to have a child anyways. Abstinence is wisdom. Been married 3 years. No kids yet, why cuz we can’t afford one.
Wow man, this is a VERY strong/wrong statement.
Not everything in life is black and white, especially when it comes to a woman's own body...

The best tech will continually attract more mind-share and human interest... as has always happened on long time horizons. Why would currency be an exception to that relentless trend? IMHO: either Bitcoin will iterate to become cheaper to secure and transact with and/or more general purpose... or it will slowly cede relevance in our lifetimes to the public virtual machine platforms it inspired. No one in the space is safe from innovation or technical progress. I wouldn't ever bet on anything that entertained the idea that it could be. /4
"No one in the space is safe from innovation or technical progress."
That is the crux of the issue. What some people define as "progress"/"innovation" can be simultaneously called "enslavement" /"scheme".
Web2.0 was the hype, now it is "Evil".
Tech is just a tool/toy. That's it.

*amo gli italiani True story! This seems to be a near universal response of the nice Sicilian grocers/bakers/butchers, btw. Wow you're from the other side of the world, awesome, I'd love to visit there, then proceeding to advise me on how to make a killer cabonara or something. One of the best parts of travelling. Appreciating everything/everyone (for reasons that would seem odd to natives) and vice versa.
Ma che bravo! Your italian is getting better too! ;p

And knowing you'll sleep fantastic tonight. Changed @TxBatchCrypto strategy, new strategy is just full-on f!ck it mode, giving away everything possible for free in order to get exposure. Personally, I wished most standard designs had pictures sitting at stomach/waist level, not right on the chest. Even better if I could get messages/logos printed on the upper back of my tee-shirts.

Newest t-shirt in the Peepeth store: https://teespring.com/peep-peep Looks fun but wondering if anyone (besides me) would actually wear it. Any ideas for other (more subdued) designs?
I am getting (and wearing) one. Because Penguins are the ultimate chills and I am a big fan of their peachy Ethereum beaks.

The best for what? Bitcoin isn't powering this novel social platform you're on now (though with anchoring it could sorta do it)... It doesn't allow you to compute on it, so it's de-facto not the best for computing. It's the best at a narrative of a fixed supply in a world of inflationary assets. That has its own drawbacks too, though they're quite a few decades away from being pressing. Bitcoin is not the best at furthering creativity, innovation, or ambitious technological and societal changes. Time will tell if it's the best at mimicking gold.
You just took this convo to the next level. :)
I think that Bitcoin is good at securing your transactions/hodlings, which offers a decent amount of certainty that this ever-questioning, ever-racing, ever-restless world seriously lacks.
Fundamentals need to be written in stone.

Good point! I personally use Coinbase and Binance myself - so don't mind promoting them! I genuinely think they are great exchanges. As for the coins, I try to make clear Bitcoin is by far the best and if you decide to put any money in crypto at all - it should be in BTC :)

“Be greedy when others are fearful and fearful when others are greedy”, but also “the trend is your friend”. No wonder so many people don’t bother investing because educational institutions almost universally fail to teach us how to hold two opposed ideas in mind at the same time

To be fair, anything can be used against anyone nowadays. :p

I haven't had a weekend in 8 months and I LOVE it. Working on something you love to your own schedule is an extreme hack for productivity, "work-life balance"/mental health, learning/challenge, and fulfilment.

>No one looks in the mirror! >Everyone's too busy looking in the mirror! Love this little exchange here. My two gwei: People all have their heads in their phones (no doubt often using *them* as their only mirror). Introspection is hard, it takes time - people often don't like either of those requirements. With all that time spent on their phones, you'd think people would be learning at an exponential rate... instead the most addictive platforms trap them in an echo chamber. Wasted time. Peepeth (and open data broadly) to the rescue!
