#lkie - good afternoon. Bit cold in Melbourne today.
It's starting to rain. I guess the rainy season is coming soon.
Good afternoon Peeple, have a great day 🐤

I recommend @abcoathup's writeup (he came up with the idea). Also, check out https://peepeth.com/help/signing. Basically, actions are now signed, guaranteeing authorship. Peepeth then batches those actions periodically, and saves them to the blockchain.
Thank you for this awesome app!

IDM music, writing, drawings. Good platform for creators to easily list with no middle men. I'm sure I'll get the promotion knack soon.
It's good! I'll visit your store after I joined.

One digital purchase that went quite smoothly. Setting up store and listings was mega easy. Not many merchants yet, so goods are all very niche, but some truly gifted artists are there. Lotta handmade stuff, small industry stuff. If you have a crypto crowd to promote to, ideal.
Cool, sounds like fun. This seems a good way to buy/sell digital stuff. I think I'm going to try this in near future. btw what do you sell in your store?

I'd love to try them and see where / how they're grown. I read that a long time ago there was an apple gold rush to discover tasty species. Now that a few dominate, fewer varieties are commonly available. I wonder if those less common species are the more expensive ones.
Like you said, apples in stores have less variety nowadays. Some species which were popular in my childhood are less common recently. So they are rare and price a bit higher I think.

When I was still active on Twitter (account doesn't exist anymore), I tweeted everyday about music, music quotes, music related events on that day in the past years... but also funny memes and other stuff. Thinking about rebooting this adventure here on Peepeth.

What does a bird eat and drink whilst watching Sumo?
Usually, eat bird pellets and raw oats. Then drink water. No barley juice.
Thank you for offering Ensō!

i am so glad i decided to follow this thread. from municipal planters to the world's best apples, i have learned much today!
In Peepeth we can see everyone's conversation. So, me also find lots of new things to learn. Though there are difficult subjects to understand sometimes, it's fun to touch unknown territory.

Interesting! Are they the same types as are grown elsewhere? Also, I've also heard they can be very expensive; is that true? Looking forward to visiting one day! @d2r2
Hi Bevan! Most of them are common species, also there are special ones for special gifts! Those rare, huge, or specially cared apples are expensive. The highest price I've ever heard was 2,000JPY (18USD approx), for an apple.
Saturday! Good morning Peeple!

I'm serious folks. The apples here are absolutely incredible. Northern Japan has the best apples in the world. I don't like apples, but these apples are absolutely ... what... 42.
Agree! Aomori is the biggest apple producer in Japan and their apples are great. Apples from Nagano prefecture are delicious too. @d2r2 @NateStipe

It's in Aomori Prefecture, Japan, and I have no idea what the numbers are for. I was thrilled to find 42 though! They were not in order. Maybe @Shigako can shed some light?
I think those planters are municipal property. So they are numbered for management purposes.... just guessed! I like those pics of planters with numbers. Looks like surreal film. How is Aomori?

I've had some luck with a website, but for me the best use of IPFS is posting static files on the fly. https://gateway.ipfs.io/ipfs/QmQ16vLXociF9c4mVr1Jte4FQ6U1y5nhoxn6AHy9LZuitf
Nature of ipfs is not suitable for websites but for storages maybe? mmm... when a website is slow and not easy to update, it's not pleasant.

I love it! And it popped right up. I think that's a good use of ipfs - straight link to static file without using ipns. I haven't played around with pinning(?) to files yet but I'll give it a try with this one after work. Cool!
Thanks so much! I read an article of how to do this so pinned this file. This small jpg made me a little excited. Then I'm thinking to put a website on this system.
@d2r2 I have put my world map on ipfs! https://ipfs.io/ipfs/QmXGDw8R5DEgZ4uNpTgU46hLEx8J2YdwL3d97Qmt3RKQHD
Sometimes I draw world map like this by memory alone, without observing real map. This 2017 version tells me my fact is memorized fact & not accurate anymore.

Shigako I just noticed you tipped me! I'm speechless! That's the first tip I've ever gotten anywhere. (I was a dishwasher in high school, not a server. Nobody tips dishwashers.)
I'm so glad that you liked it! I checked your page today, found it have a stylesheet now. It's developing. That pic is a scanned negative? So the sky is yellow. Scars on the sky look like stars. Nice.
