I am not sure why the word Peep, it’s decentralize twitter experience.
Calling it decentralizedtwitter.com would be a trademark infringement :)
And semantically the word twitter is multitude of chirps and peeps.
Then, peep+ETH leads to Peepeth, which is also an old form of the verb to peep.

My favorite altmojis are 🤪 and 🇲🇪👈 and maybe 🤪👈🇲🇪 on a 1-2 year horizon. (Official disclosure: this is not social advice) a "me irl" text emoji would be massive
Bear in mind that once your platform emoji set gets updated you will no longer see it as a ME emoji, but rather as a proper Montenegrin flag :)

Yes, that's a good point. It should be more clear. This will be changed in the next deploy; there'll be a "verifications" section in settings. @welle
Speaking of Twitter, my tweets end up on my alternative Twitter account. Most likely because I was logged in at that one when sending peep->tweet for the first time. Now I'm verified and logged into the proper Twitter account, but peeps still go to the wrong Twitter account 🤔

Taken while on an early morning run in Oahu, about two weeks after photographing DevCon3 in Cancun. Mind was still buzzing after learning about all the projects in the works via DevCon. Great to see a platform like this getting legs under it! Photos: www.instagram.com/samuelwins

Dat argument about criminal activities 🙄
@cryptostache What's your impression of the new Ledger desktop software?
I think I expected more options, e.g. import of more accounts, even if as watching addresses only.

Testing Peepeth (http://peepeth.com) for the first time! Lots of things I'm impressed by! * Good UI * "Opinionated features" * Charity stickers, going to the Against Malaria Foundation https://peepeth.com/malaria * Ability to peep and tweet at the same time
Big day for Peepeth and its users :)

Which comes to the same :D
I had shattered hopes and dreams AND bunch of tokens at the same time :D

@bevan needs funding for a mobile app and to keep building out features (replies as replies rather than repeeps). Developers need to eat. Nothing wrong with an ICO if it’s appropriate for your model and follows regulations.
What would be the difference between ICO and crowdfunding? Legal obstacles in US, change in ownership model or something else? @bevan @zanzi

That's good to hear. Nice to not have to plan much for food. Are you still riding? I once did a bike trip on the east coast of Malaysia during Ramadan, and the only food available during the day was from gas stations (candy, sweet muffins, soda) and KFC. Not great for riding :)
That's tough. One of the few things that scares me on trips like this is that I'll arrive to a small village on Sunday and there will be no shop open and I'll have no food left 😂 But now that's behind me, I'm already home and supermarkets and fast food joints are open 24x7 😊

Hello peeps !
Welcome :)
And so, after 12 days of cycling (rest days not counted) and after exactly 900km (560 miles) I reached the promenade in front of the iconic casino in Constanța.
I was so happy with the casino milestone that I didn't even consider staying longer in the city 😁
#acrossRomania

Built in Art Noveau style by 32-year old Daniel Renard, it was a sore point for the entire political opposition and conservatives back in the day, who wanted something less extravagant and in popular Neo-Romanian style, which was featured in many of my photos.
#acrossRomania
It was called Romanian Monte Carlo and it has always been the symbol of the city. It was damaged in every world war and rebuilt afterwards.
With the communist regime in power, it ceased to operate as a casino, and since 1948 it served as a house of culture.
#acrossRomania
When planning where to finish this tour, Constanța and its casino were the obvious choices. I fell in love with that building ever since I saw it for the first time somewhere on the internet.
In the current form since 1910 it worked as a casino for only 38 years.
#acrossRomania
Cycling through Constanța wasn't a really pleasant experience. As if all the roads were leading to it, and all the cars and trucks decided to go into the city at the same time. I reached this random point and saw it, the building in the background.

Entering Constanța, the oldest continuously inhabited city in Romania. Founded in 7th century BC by Massagataen queen Tomyris, who named the city after herself, Tomi. The first urban settlement in this region was however Greek city of Histria, 40km from Constanța.

How do you choose the spot to put the tent and end the day?
Romania and Balkan countries in general are easygoing when it comes to wild camping. As long as you're not bothering anyone nobody will mind you. Especially if they don't c u. If I'm close to settlements I go for a secluded place, otherwise I pitch it up where I like the view :)

#lkie How has your experience been with the food so far? Has it ever been hard finding food to keep you going while riding?
That was the easy part, as every village has a little shop where you can buy food, and every town has a bigger supermarket, so food was never really a problem :)

It looks like you are standing high over a river - what on? A roof?.. Wonderful shot.
Just a bridge that goes over the channel :) Unfortunately, I'm not a drone owner anymore :)
Stopped briefly in Medgidia, for a bite. Romanians have their own version of kebabs called ,mici, which means 'smalls', and they are the biggest kebabs out there 😁
And this is Danube-Black Sea channel in Murfatlar, carved in the rocky hill looks impressive.

Getting closer to Constanța, still raining, but also the traffic increased.
Trucks are the worst. They go around, but still shower you with so much water that my face is all muddy.
Scratch that, garbage trucks are the worst. They wash me with stinky water 😫

Or trimmed to stop that from happening.
Given the fact that this is Romania, @jm9k might be right, it's most likely an unintentional process 😄
And every time the showers would get tired and stop, the scenery would become so contrasty and so beautiful, that even just throwing a camera in the air would lend you a great shot. The report says there's no rain in Constanța, so I'll continue and endure the rain #acrossRomania
No matter how much I'd like to stay and soak the atmosphere at the Traian's monument, the weather forecast said there will be rain showers, so I reluctantly started cycling...only to be greeted by the first outpouring. I have rain gear on, but I still seek shelter #acrossRomania
Fanfact: Dacian campaign was the only known instance when the Roman legions had to make adjustments to their equipment during the campaign. Dachians #acrossRomania used a curved weapon sharp on the inside, called falx, which could cut through Roman armor.

I have a friend who collects photos of manhole covers she comes across, so whenever I see an unusual one I think of her :)
I had luck to come across an old tour guide there who told me that in the middle of the photo here, in what look like battlements, there are prisoners of war shown, Dacians in skirts, Sarmatians in tunics and Germanic tribesmen in trousers.
#acrossRomania
The original elements of the monument are preserved in a museum in a nearby town of Adamclisi. The monument was devoted to the Roman god of war, Mars.
The admission to the ground around the monument costs 10 Lei (3 USD).
#acrossRomania
Tropaeum Traiani monument was reconstructed in 1977, as by that time it turned into a pile of rubble, with the metopes (squarish elements depicting various elements of Roman army) scattered around it.
Here you can see some original parts of the monument exposed.
#acrossRomania
Behind the monument there is a mound, tumulus, a burial site of a fallen Roman general. This is the view from the top of it. Unfortunately, there's nothing much to see at the mound, at least not to my untrained eye, so back to the monument 🤔
#acrossRomania
Some 2km from the fortress, in 109 AD, emperor Traian built a monument, called Tropaeum Traiani (Traian's trophy) to honour the fallen Roman soldiers (don't mix Roman and Romanian) and also to warn any neighboring tribe to stay away from just conquered province.

Another thing that excited me as much as the colonnades in the basilica is the sanitary channel which ran across the city and collected all the waste water, mixing it with running water and taking it out of the city.
