8x digital zoom, gah. But I wanted to capture this little creature, a bit lost, flying around in the hallway. I left the windows open, hopefully it will find its way out.

This is a Sphinx Moth. This isn't my photo, but I see them in the back yard on occasion. They are very large moths and I usually see them flying around late in the evening.
Oh, yeah, I know these (or their relatives). As a kid I was sure those were colibri (hummingbirds) :)
The scarce swallowtail butterfly (Iphiclides podalirius), also known as sail swallowtail.
It's rather common, despite its name 🤔

The Wikipedia page you've linked cites two cases which found in Trump's favour, multiple statements in which his remarks have been taken out of context to imply racism, and statements of statistical fact which have been labeled racism. Besides. A front-end could be made.
Thank you for pointing that out.
Exactly, Peepeth is a great working proof of concept how the things can be done on the blockchain and hopefully not the only front end, as that would invalidate the purpose of decentralization :)

If they say that someone who controls 75% of something ousts you, isn't it a logical fallacy to say that you lose the ability to voice your opinion. There's still 25% of the market. Then I get a feeling that they're trying to manipulate me with phrasing & the message is then lost.

I don't see how those two things are connected. Even if third-party developers have no access to Apple's user data collections, this kid most certainly did. Such a security hole at Apple is a concern for all their customers regardless of Apple's workflow.
What I meant is that a challenge to come and find a security hole might draw a negative attention of people who would look for a zero-day exploit in order to sell it to a highest bidder, but then again, those people are probably already looking for exploits :)

Agreed. There has to be a better way. How many public resources went in to fixing this company's security issues? They are externalizing the costs of their own security. Of all the companies in the world, Apple can afford to pay for it Offer bounties. Crypto makes it even easier
Apple is proud of their policy that they do not sell user data (I believe that 3rd parties have no contact with user data that Apple has on us), so it might not be Apple's workflow, to incentivize bounty hunters to rummage around poking for security holes.

Obviously they can simply take the domain name now (how dystopian is this). Governments threaten fines to websites if they don't remove "objectionable" posts. So while the blockchain may be immutable, the website used to access it is not.
Exactly, as @CallMeGwei pointed out, front end can be partially muted for various reasons. The backend is there to stay. The idea is that Peepeth is just one of potentially many front ends that would have access to the same set of data residing on the blockchain.

https://peepeth.com/front_end links to a "Peepeth Reader/Verifier" that has been shared via ipfs.io, but I can't get it to work. When I open the link, I just get a progress bar that fills up, and nothing comes afterward.
I get the same. It feels that the key part is that "(You must be connected to the Main Ethereum network to view)", but MetaMask is not enough.

individuality is hardly sad, what is sad is technocracy worship. and, again, once one adds in the human factor, systems are turned to personality whims and agendas. trust yourself, not the reified technology. these 2 learned the hard way: https://www.weaselzippers.us/394145-ame
It's a sad story, and as a long-distance cyclist I feel even more connected and emotional about it.

Sold. I find this fascinating. That's one reason I love cold water: your body instantly goes into #beastmode, giving you access to resources necessary to stay alive. It makes sense that breathing in that manner would trigger a similar response; analogous to how smiling -> happy.
I came across the method several months ago, and was like "cold water... Perhaps some other time". And then...my water heater broke. Now I actually enjoy cold showers, even after fixing the heater. I'll start with the rest of the method. Thanks for reminding me @JamesScaur :)
