Showing another friend of mine the wonders of decentralized, immutable 'social media'. Smells like fresh air to me! If you're receiving this transmission on Twitter, and you own crypto- do yourself a solid and check out www.peepeth.com
Can Peepeth be censored?
The back-end data store (the blockchain and IPFS) is not censorable. However, the Peepeth.com website can choose what content to display. Content that violates the terms of use will not be shown on Peepeth.com, but will still live on the bchain.

If I could, I would. I mean I have some gold, silver, stocks and a 401K but I prefer my currency to be capped, proof-of-work, and untied to debt- whenever possible. ππ
Do I know you perhaps from FiCoin/Phoenix admins TG? :)
The usage of intonation and strategic tonality, among other things, can help listener understand and remember your name better.
Chances are you've been saying your name wrongly.

I'm not defending the action; if anything, I regret responding in the first place. My choice to mute @voyager was out of a desire to avoid argument; his insulting manner caught me offguard in comparison to the kindness and thoughtfulness I've otherwise seen here.
I honestly saw it as a debate, you tell me your stance, I tell you mine. In the end I learned something new, so thank you for that :)

yeah, I guess this is a pre-troll, pre-venom space. I'm liking it.
One of @CallMeGwei's great ideas was to engage with everyone, by finding little something that we might have in common and start building from there, no matter how much we would disagree on the initial personality assessment.
Replying to @sevvie (0xb9a7922eec475605498ba3c1f7f0aca98585f30a)
I don't like the idea of muting someone so early into my time here. But I also have little interest in watching someone disregard the complexity of Constitutional law and common law, out of some misguided superiority complex.
I guess that's where we differ. Learning about something new means there will be errors and misunderstanding and I'm open to people, including myself, making mistakes.

You really should read about Marsh v Alabama; it involves a city wholly owned by a private company forbidding the handing out of religious literature in public. But it is clear to me, with this statement, you have no interest in discussing matters in good faith. So, muted.
You misread me, but OK, it happens.
Marsh v. Alabama is the only one that can come remotely close to the situations that we have witnessed recently, involving private properties, thank you for pointing that out.
I appreciate that you actually mentioned real cases :)

Law is argued on the specific details written in decisions, opinions, concurrence, and transcriptions, not merely single-sentence conclusions. My message was not sent to insinuate you were wrong, or to start an argument. My apologies if I gave you that impression.
No worries, we're just debating :)
I took that sentence just to illustrate that it was a public school.
My point was that the 1st Amendment does not really cover situations when "I don't want to hear what you have to say", where I = a private company or an individual :)

And I don't even have to google about Marsh vs Alabama, as I can tell that someone sued a state and won. Still, not applicable to a private sector in the context we're talking about here. If we just take a look at a line in Twitter ToS, we can see the following:
"Our Services evolve constantly. As such, the Services may change from time to time, at our discretion."
Even if one would prove them wrong, they could just update ToS and exclude that user after the next update. The point is that we're using their service as it is, with fine prnt.

Good News Club v Milford Central School "Under New York law, public schools may adopt regulations under which they open their facilities to public use during non-school hours." So this case involves a public school, not a private one. Soc. medias are not public institutions.

200 years of Supreme Court case law regarding the First Amendment disagrees with you. Marsh v Alabama, Good News Club v Milford Central School, Snyder v Phelps -- there is a lot of precedent to consider regarding a private entity which serves as public forum.
Thanks I'll take a look.

STRANGELY, Mario, what this American is saying is that Iβm in AMERICA, where I absolutely refuse to put up with the level of MY OWN censorship on radicalized, wolf-in-sheeps-clothing, pathetic excuse for a social media platform. Capisce!?
3/3 Lastly, Peepeth is but a front-end that, in case users get abusive and in breach of ToS, might shadowban those users. Their peeps would be on the bloackchain, but not visible on Peepeth. So we still get to the point that ToS should be respected :) Didn't happen so far though.

No, sorry, I still don't understand what does your own censorship OR the US Constitution has to do with them shadowbanning you. It's their right to do it and they can always say that your actions were interpreted as a breach of their ToS.
Moreover, I get the feeling that you believe that being a tax-payer entitles you to more, in regard to social media presence and rights on those platforms, than some other people who are not from the US or are not tax-payers. Otherwise, I'm not sure why would you mention that :)

Strangely, you're not the first American thinking that the 1st Amendment has something to do with a censorship of a private company. It doesn't. It "<b>prevents Congress</b> from making any law...abridging the freedom of speech, the freedom of the press...". https://is.gd/FoeXP6

So, if I understood this one, everyone who moved from tribe's "original" territory is basically a sinner?
That would include all the Euro-Asian population of North and South America, right?
What about those who were enslaved and taken by force, e.g. from Africa?

This sure seems promising. UI looks excellent. Now we just need more people. The biggest barrier to entry will be getting some ETH. But once they get some crypto, this thing looks good to go. I pray this is actually censorship-proof. What happens when the EU objects to a post?
I wouldn't worry about EU. You're immutable when it comes to the governments. However, while on FB and Tw you can suffer a backlash, you can also delete whatever you posted. Here, your words are basically carved in the stone and any backlash will smear you for good.

1) it is hard. health care <i>is a right</i>, not a privilege as it has been and continues to be sold here in the U.S. it is appalling that many people here also buy into that mindset -- that their fellow citizens do not deserve health care simply because they cannot afford it.
