https://github.com/ethereum/go-ethereum/releases/tag/v1.8.14

yes that i am aware of , but from a trust point of view not sure how many users would want to install an app that way especially when it is related to wallets
Installing via these methods involves way less trust than using internet+appstore ..

Sure will give it a try. A quick question based on your literature in website "The AirGap Vault is installed on a dedicated or old smartphone that has no connection to any network, thus it is air gapped." how do we install it when no internet? or do we enable it just for install?
You can e.g. install apps via ADB. Or you could put the apk onto some SD-Card and install it this way. You do not need internet to install apps (on Android :-)

Important issues, thanks for bringing these up. At least one open source peeping client is coming out soon.
That sounds great! Can you point me to a link? Unfortunately searching for "open source peepeth client" was not successful - would love to use and dig into a open-source client ..-)

The interface is closed source at the moment, but the protocol will be wide open. It's on a public blockchain, so there is nothing to stop someone else from developing another client.
Will the protocol also allow other clients access to unsigned actions? Unfortunately find very little information on all this currently. Would prefer full FOSS - only a bit happy with only an open protocol. But the protocol must be really neutral then - need to investigate more.

Trying out peepeth - looks and works nice so far. My only main concern so far is that it is closed source :-(
