All I see is garbage. Definitely not for me. Glad someone is saving this from waste.
That’s because it is garbage. I didn’t end up eating it because It was not up to my standards

How long have you been carrying out this experiment? It looks like you could save a ton on food...
For about 6 months! I spend about $20 a week on food.
Just a small caramel cake #from_the_bins

Wait a sec, did you get the salmon and ricotta out of a bin?
Hell yeah! They were both vacuumed sealed. Idk why they get thrown. Best practice is to only take fish/dairy if they’re cold. Especially with fish. It was delicious, and I didn’t suffer any illness 👌
Poached salmon with hollandaise sauce, ricotta and garden salad. #from_the_bins
A fresh bin 👌, one of 3
I’m going bananas! Featuring a block of parmagano Reggiano 😁
Except for the olive oil, this whole meal was #FromTheBins

#lkie Those look amazing. Do you ever find meat, fish, or eggs? How easy would it be to eat exclusively from the bin?
It is very feasible to eat exclusively from the bins! In fact the only things I routinely buy are butter, olive oil, vinegar and spices. Essentially everything else is from a bin, including meat(if it is vaccume sealed and cold) and eggs. Fish I prefer to buy fresh.
Did you know they sell baby pears? I didn’t... #FromTheBins

I've heard about "dumpster divers" finding all sorts of still-edible "disposed of" food. This, however, doesn't seem like the same sort of thing. This seems like it's well-packed and still fresh! Share the not-so-beautiful hauls, too? (Oh, and, btw I'm your first follower!)
Thanks for following! I'll share the kinda average ones also...

I was thinking too much about what to say in my first peep. But it's best not to overthink it! Hello from Brunei 🇧🇳
Welcome, @possiblyzebra! Are you, possibly, a zebra?
Fresh fruit and veg, boxed for my convenience by a friendly grocery store manager.
Hello everyone! Here is the first peep of Gourmet Garbage, an account dedicated to the food thrown away in bins, and the wonderful meals that can be made from them.
