My cat Art3mis-- she is my muse and, by far, the weirdest cat I've met. Those beds she won't use are pretty nice, but I guess she would rather breathe on me while using my pillow for sleep instead. #TunaBreath

Hmm, it's certainly possible but you'd need to calculate that inside maybe the transfer function since contracts don't really have a life cycle

thanks!

Maxine Waters to be charged with assault after being challenged by a journalist about her remarks.

Is there a reputable source that supports this statement or was it a question that omitted the question mark?

Like if there aren't n amount of transfers a day, send tokens to y address?

yes, exactly. Was thinking on a more individual level. Contract xfers 1 token to an address it created (x). If x does not transfer to any other address by a certain date/time; x will automatically transfer token to a predetermined address (y)

It also means that every other reply after the tag is imposed is hidden, even if the topic steers away from politics and even if you didn't tag it yourself. Not cool and not what most people want.

While I'm sure you have spoken to those who do not want the current tagging process, it would be incorrect for you to state "not what most people want" unless you have surveyed more than 1/2 of the 2944 users of Peepeth.

What are Enso?

One "like" per day
Instead of a Like button, Peepeth has the once-per-day Ensō. Its rarity makes it more special to receive, and it encourages the creation of dignified, beautiful, and timeless content. An Ensō is forever; there is no undo.

Doesn't change a thing. Peepeth is advertised as a "non censorable platform". Yet the posts are labelled "How's your blood pressure" and "Here we go again". You get very little feedback from hidden posts, yet I get up to 7 replies from non hidden posts. How is that not censorship?

The post labels also include "I'm a Zen Master". They don't appear to be that serious. I personally like the hidden posts just as much as the ones that are not hidden. Censorship would mean your post wouldn't show up at all.

It's ironic that you should say that when the pol*t*c* hashtags are hidden and not "transparent".and I have to put an asterisk in a word to stop myself being censored.

Not sure I would classify it at being censored. Identified as having certain content, yes. However, your posts are available for anybody to view rather than not being available at all.

What does God have to do with us having a stable currency?

Nothing. The reason it's included on U.S paper money harkens back to the Cold War and was proposed as a means to differentiate the U.S. from the USSR and state atheism. Congress passed the resolution requiring it in 1956 and it first appeared in 1957.

You could create a smart contract with this restriction where it checks for a zero balance before transferring. Though it is trivial to create accounts so someone could control lots of keys which only have a balance on 1 token.

Thanks. Agreed that it could be easily gamed by having multiple wallets. However, if the wallets were all part of private blockchain, I'm guessing this could be enforced.

Sep 14, 2018 00:40

Does anybody know if it is currently possible to restrict the balance of a token in a given wallet to 1 so that a xfer would reject if it already found a token in the destination wallet (if all this makes sense)

That’s certainly a very likely thing to happen. There is no reason for Ethereum to be worth more than $2 a piece. The technology is what makes it important, not the price of a token/coin. But I think BTC will always be collected by someone, and as time goes on 📈

I agree. However, immediate supply is finite. With a little over 101mm currently in circulation, mass adoption would require fractional transaction amounts. Also, mining rewards of 5 ETH @ a hypothetical $2 using POW would not be cost effective. Wanted - low price/high use method
