I can't quite see the centre, maybe you could share a specific picture of that? Perhaps you could prune off some branches this autumn: reduce the weight, let in more air and light. The fruits will ripen better anyways. I like 'goblet' shaped pruning--keeps the centre open.
I guess i'll need to prune it in the fall. Thanks for the advice. :D

Nice tree. Wonderful to have fresh figs every day. I know someone who eats them with blue cheese; not a bad combo!
Usually we just make jams and dehydrate a bunch of sliced figs. Dehydrating is my favorite because it's almost like candy that way.

How large is your fig tree? I've seen some magnificent 'T' bars used to prop up older trees. Especially on my travels to #Japan, they use them to promote the natural wonkiness of each tree... it's a splendid thing.
Here's the tree. Birds have been knocking figs off to the ground but we still have quite a few left to pick. You can't really see it but in the center at the bottom is and 3 feet in height of sturdy chicken wire the people that owned the house before us put on it. That's probably why it's bending at the middle.

There was an abandoned heart 💜

Created an espalier frame for an apple tree today at the #allotment. The weight of too many apples was causing it to bend and flop. This should hold it steady and give better light to improve the crop. #gardening
I've got a similar problem with my old fig tree. It's kind of big to prop up but in a few weeks the figs should be ripe so we'll be able to relieve some of the weight to delicious affect.

Only if we choose to accept it 😉
This is true. I don't use any facebook services so my only concern about the libra is how it's going to affect actual cryptocurrencies.

Happy solstice!
Happy sunshine to you too.

So just for market reason? No correlation (neither a percentage) between the two for you?
I would say it's just the market for Bitcoin behaving as usual. The one coin to watch is XRP as that is the direct competitor to the plans for Libra.
Replying to @emanuele (0xeaddad41ac5048d8924701925ea930feb0fe56f2)
Do you think #Bitcoin could be pumping because of #Libra? (insider first and public now)
It's been down all month. Could just be a natural occurrence or whales pushing on principle against Libra.
It's June. Time to start Christmas shopping.

I'm not sure if in Europe the push for NFC POS terminals was initiated by the commercial banks or the CC companies, but I bet it was one of those and not the stores.
Here the only recent development is chips on cards. Which I think mine broke from me sitting on my wallet but that doesn't explain why the magnetic strip didn't work. I need to get down to the bank today to solve this.
Decided to make some breakfast. BBQ quesdaillas.

But now you can pay with your phone instead of your card. Have you considered going down that road?
I can but the store can't. They don't have the necessary tools yet and are years off from that. It's not like I'm in a rural part of America either. I'm in a major metropolis with millions of people. The stores just aren't adopting yet.

What are your thoughts on #Libra?
To kick the conversation off I don't think #Libra is a cryptocurrency at all. I think facebook is becoming a bank and its dollar is going to be the Libra. It's a stable coin pegged to the dollar. So ultimately what I think it's going to end up as is a "paypal" setup in "crypto" to counter Amazon's "marketplace" (shipping and warehouse service). Please add to the discussion by telling me how I'm wrong so I can learn.
What are your thoughts on #Libra?
Had to pay with cash for groceries yesterday as my card decided not to work. Have to get down to the bank today to check my card. I can't wait to be able to pay with my phone for things with crypto. That might take a while still.
Just found a nice Thai cooking instruction here: http://thaicookingschool.org/
Also I ordered some ingredient and will try my hand at a Thai BBQ spare ribs with my own take on it. First cooked in the sous vide with as much of the marinade as I can get in the bag. Then debone the ribs and cube the meat. Then finishing them in the traditional fried in oil in the wok.

The grits were the best part. Fried sliced jalapeños in it! The Bloody Mary was good too!
I'm a big fan of spicy too. Never tried jalapenos in grits before though. Frying them will take the heat down a notch and release some of the peppers' natural sweetness so that would go well with the buttery flavor of grits. Sounds absolutely delicious.

... And here they are again, cooked! 😻 #mangetout
Adding a little color makes them look even more appetizing. Did you use oil or are is the sheen on them from something else like water?

That's probably the best way to do it. :D

That looks amazing! Something I haven't had in many years. Was it as good as it looks?
Could have used a little sugar for taste but it's healthier without. Still is was pretty delish and I made a bunch so I have leftovers for a couple of days.

Slightly sweet and still crunchy if not overcooked.
Does the cooking affect the flavor? Like is it slightly more sweet the less you cook it?

First crop of #mangetout from the #allotment this season! Delicious pan fried with olive oil, salt and black pepper. #gardening

Hello #peepeth
Hello Halil. How are you today?
I have finally beaten my original peep streak from when I first got here. The trick is to post at least twice a day spread out over the day instead of just once. I often post more than that but I set a goal of at least twice a day.

sous vide then grille with barbecue sauce?
Sous vide at 152 degrees for at this point 26 hours but 24 will do. It was marinaded in beer after a rub for the duration. Then a healthy coating of BBQ sauce. Grill until BBQ sauce is dry and then another layer of BBQ sauce. Once dry plate and serve.

mouth watering
It was so tender the bones fell away from the meat and the meat ran away as soon as you bit into it. In short super tender but also juicy.

I am an independent writer and an artist. Lately I've been into making clothes, and they have been a hit around the city with the ladies. I also love beach days and Summer nights! 💋
Oh you can definitely promote your writing here. I would be interested to read it. This is certainly the best time of year. I love that the trees are awake and the birds wake me every morning.

Kitty & Me selfish selfie session! ❤️ #kittycat #peepethcat #meow
Regal kitty in that picture. So what can you tell us about yourself?
Millie in a relaxed but ever alert state. She doesn't really have an off switch. Still besides sleeping this is as relaxed as she gets.
Bob in his natural state. Cattitude is low but will make a reoccurrence when hunger strikes his stomach. Probably 5pm.

Hi for everybody! I've a little-little dog (look down ⬇️). She (my dog is - "she" 😁) name is Dezi, or Dezzi. I don't know for sure. Look, how gorgeous she is! I like her so much!!! She is a beautiful living being! Isn't it?
That's a pretty pup. Absolutely adorable the way her hair is tied.
More ribs in the sous vide bath at 152 this time marinaded in beer. Hopefully the bags don't exploded or do something wrong.
