Some nights I wake up and can't fall back asleep for a while, then I grab the phone to "check" stuff. It does mess with my sleep routine for sure. My wife keeps her phone in another room at night; wish I had that level of self-control! 📴🐧
Yeah. Having the phone anywhere around can be really bad for falling back asleep. Unless, of course, you put on a super dry audio book... then it can have the reverse effect.

Do you use #ProtonVPN (or any other) on your mobile? What do you use it for? Do you keep it always on? Have you checked if DNS requests are not leaking out of your VPN?
I use it, but it's not always on. When I'm traveling I sometimes have trouble accessing sites, then I flip it on. Packet sniffing while using a VPN is a little more labor intensive (at least on android, where I usually use a *fake* VPN to packet sniff). Therefor: haven't done it.

A Data Scientist is the worst programmer in a room full of programmers, the worst statistician in a room full of statisticians, and the worst fundamental scientist/engineer in a room full of scientists/engineers (Christopher Fonnesbeck). Hmmmm…!!!
But do they have the best job? It's pretty rewarding from what I understand. Playing with tech all day... and then translating information into a form that people can more readily understand.

Nope. That's just my CallMeGwei site! For my blockchain identity and writing.
The original goal was to ramp up and do it full-time, but it's tough. I'm still trying to figure out where/how, exactly, that blog fits in to my life... but I probably won't be able to do it full-time.

Not monetizing something you intend(ed) to do full-time is a luxury. One that I don't share, unfortunately.
That said... I actually don't use google analytics anymore on any of my sites. I use WP-Statistics or other server-side packages. Hunting down that call right now!

I'd would also like to say that I had to go through quite a bit of work at that time to remove the gravatar integration baked into WordPress and to keep the "share" buttons from phoning home.
I imagine many content publishers want to jump ship - but not out into the ocean!

I had removed google ads and amazon ads altogether sometime last year... then I quit writing. Without some way to monetize your work, you start to feel it's not valuable. There haven't been legit alternatives.
I am excited to test out the Brave ads that are in the pipeline.

Pro-privacy tip: using Cookie AutoDelete on your browser (https://duckduckgo.com/?q=cookie+autodelete) will help you discover how many sites does embed Google/Facebook cookies on their pages. It's amazing how pervasive on the web is their presence. #privacy #privacyMatters

Based off the one that sold on Etsy the 8" x 8" are £20 (UK postage is free. International tracked postage is £10). The 10% fee is probably better than Etsy fees to be honest as theirs have been creeping up all the time. I'm more than happy to partake in an experiment on here.

If people pay you to do something, they are affecting how you spend your time. They are affecting who you associate with during that time. They are affecting who you are. How you vote.

That's right. That's exactly why the "big players" don't want them... they ~~want~~ need your data and your attention to be locked in their ecosystems... otherwise they cannot monetize ~~it~~ **you**.
