Congrats on your launch Christopher!
I appreciate it that very much Bevan. Especially from such an awesome builder as yourself! If you're ever interested in exploring a new way for people to invest in you or you just feel like experimenting with a fun decentralized project, I'd love to invite you to create your own meToken :)

I've been working on an app that was promised in Peepeth's crowdfunding campaign. The app infers many aspects of your personality from your public social media posts. Want to try the closed beta? Let me know and I'll put you on the list.
Congrats on hitting this milestone, Bevan. I'm excited to see what you've created and would love to participate in the closed beta ๐

I'm nervous the barrier to adoption for dapps over their centralized incumbents is that old services have weaponed algorithms to make their platforms as addicting (and free) as possible. Dapps typically have microfees per tx. Can the mainstream get "addicted" to microfees?
On the eve of Facebook's GlobalCoin, I'm reflecting on how I'm still concerned about this. Now more than ever
How centralized, hyper-algorithmic platforms entrench us in subtle, yet, addictive behavior modification loops

I just converted my presentation from NFT.NYC into a thorough blog post detailing how to create new models to decentralize intellectual property (#DeIP) in order to transform society. I'll be presenting the topic this evening in Vancouver at CoinFest ๐จ๐ฆhttps://t.co/2i3QjPhmpU

Here are some of my thoughts regarding how true ownership in video games are a gateway to a civilization exiting the real world en masse to go in search of opportunities in virtual ones. This was recorded in Times Square at NFT.NYC https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClEuIlq8vdk&t=2s
I'm incredibly grateful and excited to speak at NFT.NYC this February in Times Square. I'll be formalizing the idea of Decentralized Intellectual Property, or #DeIP

I assume that restrictions of the App Store and Google Play means that mobile wallets are restricted or self censor what dApps they show in their dApp pages.
Yeah. That's my assumption, as well. I don't blame them.
PSA - One of the most interesting #DeFi dapps is not promoted on Coinbase's Mobile Wallet. However, you can still access it by manually typing in the URL.

Good to see you over here, friend โ๏ธ
I had a tweet blow up the other day and I gained a modest chunk of new followers. It felt like I really earned something. Until I realized I didn't. If I leave Twitter I lose all my relationships. If I leave Peepeth all of our relationships are still on chain ๐

Sure. Building a more ethical web is kinda like getting people to eat kale after a lifetime of McDonalds. And then they have to pay a fee every time! But just like with food, people are realising there are health costs to poor media consumption choices. There will be a shift.
Exactly! There will... But it'll need to be ushered in by 10x value-add. Owning your data might not be enough for the avg user. Especially if FB et al starts paying users for their data. Most wouldn't care if it was via blockchain or not. Venmo does a good enough job. Why use BTC
Replying to @chid (0xa5460b48dce526b8646e5c283fa9bdc1b7930e79)
The mechanics of the micropayments could be abstracted; the user just knows that they pay $5 per month. That money sits in a wallet and the client application handles paying the tx fees out of it.
Totally. Although I guess it's not the micropayments per se that I'm concerned about. It's more the fact that addictive algorithms are like fast food. Healthier options are available, but they don't have the same short term feedback loops. Algos without fees are predatorial.
I'm nervous the barrier to adoption for dapps over their centralized incumbents is that old services have weaponed algorithms to make their platforms as addicting (and free) as possible. Dapps typically have microfees per tx. Can the mainstream get "addicted" to microfees?

I was at a meetup w/~50 core ethereum projects collaborating on community engagement. One question asked was "What's everyone's Peepeth strategy?"

No worries man, it's a great idea and I think it could start a whole new sharing economy! Yes mate, I think choose your own adventure could really kick off and would probably be fairly simply to code. I just need to find someone who is willing to come onboard and code it on spec.
Have you tried EthLance? I hired a guy a couple months ago from there to code a dapp that I presented at ETHBerlin. Worked out really well. I'd recommend it.

I wasn't sure at first but this is a brilliant idea! What did it for me was envisioning the fans saving a competitor from imminent death. This could be revolutionary! I have a DApp idea on my profile I think you might like. I would appreciate your feedback & maybe even your help?
Thanks Jon! Really appreciate you taking the time to read it and let me know what you think๐
Is this the choose your own adventure dapp? I feel like user generate content is going to be one of the biggest blockchain game drivers. Sounds like there's some opportunity for it here
I'd love to get Peepeth's feedback on a novel video game model I put together call Fan-Fueled eSports

It was very well done. If you've got the flexibility this weekend -looks like you're just in Shenzhen- you should consider attending ethis.io in HK. It's free & organized by the same team as NIFTY (Kenetic). @vbuterin, Karl Floersch, Hsiao-Wei Wang & a ton of others will be there

#VideoGames x #Crypto is a unique intersection between #Keynesian and #Austrian Theory (respectively)
Historically, video game economies depend largely on intervention from designers to retain player engagement (among other KPIs). Crypto lays all responsibility on the individual

Ah... It's a known issue I keep forgetting about. Peepeth cuts off characters that exceed the limit, so if you paste a link to the end of a peep, it can cut off the full url without any kind of notification.
Try this :)

I'm thrilled to see the marketplace simulation. Can't tell whether the demo is using any form of their Proof-of-Replication or Proof-of-SpaceTime primitives. Rumors are they've been running security tests, but I haven't found a primary source to verify.

If you paste a link and you go over the peep character limit then it gets truncated. You have to check that your link is all there before peeping. A few people have been caught by this. If you add it to the feedback (bottom right) so @bevan can track it.
