What pollution? I haven't felt the need to wear a mask for over five years. Western media love to illustrate stories about Shanghai with stock shots of a hazy cityscape. We still get those days, clear skies like this are more common now.
I'm glad to hear that. I expected the stories were exaggerated. I'd love to visit!

The historic Fairmont Peace Hotel on Shanghai's Bund. Taken yesterday evening on the #80Stays photowalk with @TreyRatcliff
Beautiful! I've never been to Shanghai. I've heard it's very nice though and would like to visit. How is the pollution? Do you have to wear a mask when out and about?

What communities do you think would be likely to adopt decentralized social media early?
The gab.ai crowd would love it. Seems like Peepeth is aiming for a different audience though :)

What are your favorite happiness practices, research-backed or not?
Article inspired me to reincorporate meditation.

Thanks, looking forward to this! Not 100% sure about the 'first 100 peeps' logic, but seems to make sense..
I'm also not sure. I think the restriction is meant to reduce spam. Seems to be working so far but also might keep people from peeping.

Starting at A, heading East, towards the Black Sea :) Yeah @clehene, from Timisoara, to be more precise.
Me too :) looking forward to seeing what that part of the world looks like. Will you be camping or staying in hotels?

Yesterday & today I went to printmaking studio. I have been a member of this shared studio for several years. Spent time with this old machine.
Have never seen one of these before. Would like to see what you're making!

I've always admired and been inspired by Andrew Zimmern & Anthony Bourdain to try new things while traveling more, from tv shows about food to expanding my experience in life. Trying to find more rays of sunshine in this cloudy day. Rest in peace Anthony.
I will miss him. His show (No Reservations) helped give me hope and inspiration during a hard time, and I made it my mission to visit some of the same cities and eateries he explored. Very sad to know he is no longer here.

Main takeaways from #12RulesForLife: * a good life is made by balancing order & chaos * meaning in life comes from the responsibility u take * learn & appreciate the past * explore, accept, & integrate ur dark side * pay close attention to everything in ur life - esp. the ‘minor’
I enjoyed it too. He is a great speaker. His taped college courses are also enlightening.
I like how he focuses on both tradition / mythology and evolutionary psychology / rationality. Usually one or the other wins out. Both can be valuable sources of truth.

Maybe there should be a Peepeth tog-off scheduled for a certain time!

Easy to lose sight of human progress amidst negativity. Maybe that's a good thing.

Has anyone else gone down this rabbit hole? :)

I think I found this through the song you posted awhile ago; it may be the same record label. Cheers!

An interesting trend to counter the clinical perfection of modern "industrial" wines.
