Hey Andrew! Not yet, but that's coming soon.

Awesome, thanks for letting me know. Will be a great feature!

If I’m setting up something like MetaMask, and I create a new wallet, is there any way to tell Peepeth that the new private key is also allowed to sign transactions on my behalf? I’d prefer to not sue the same wallet on every machine, to reduce exposure.

Good to see that in the midst of all this price decline, dApp development and adoption has continued to increase.

Which would be more valuable in your opinion: The prevention of bots or another UI which draws users away from the core experience?

Plus, the inherent cost of paying network fees to post should inhibit the same sort of bot development we see on current free-to-use social network APIs.

Depends on the timescale. When we have 100,000+ users, then I think the desire for different UIs will be strong. Could see a decent subset of users wanting a more “photoblogging” experience that writes to the same database, but with a focused UI. Sort of like reddit clients.

I'm personally pretty black and white about this topic. I would share none. Just as I would never physically alter their body (that's also for them to decide when they're adults) I would never give up their privacy.

I think that’s probably the safest approach, but so is never smoking, always eating a balanced diet, etc.

Even before social media I can remember the dread of company being over and mom busting out the family photo album. Granted, that’s not global, but parents always embarrass

I am not a parent, but I also deem it unfair for one to post images of one's children on social media for the reason you mentioned. They either cannot give consent, or if they give it they may not understand the full repercussions of that decision.

I’m wondering if there’s an (almost universally) agreeable place to draw the line though. “No photos ever” seems unrealistic. Part of having a child is that they become part of who you are by definition.

Is the line drawn at embarrassing moments? Health issues? Dificult to say.

I truly hope they focus on humans first. Bots ruin everything good in this world.

To be fair, APIs are also used to help others build things for humans, such as front-end UIs that focus on different aspects of the data. So, not inherently just tooling for bots.

paying for #number of actions can also lead to aristocracy of opinion (wealthier people can post more) or can be a great quality filter

You could possibly work around this with a non-linear price scale. So those that post more heavily pay more per post as the quantity of their posting goes up. Almost like a progressive tax. (Ducks for cover).

Not sure how feasible that is though at a technical level.

Philosophy time: So, in regards to photography on social media, what’s fair to children? On traditional social media I’ve viewed it as unfair to post pictures of my child because they are not old enough to consent to some corporation starting to build a profile on them. (1/2)

On a platform like Peepeth, there is no central backing corporation, but the data is arguably “forever” and not something they’ll ever be able to undo if they are older.

I’m trying to think through how’d I’d feel as an adult if my parents openly shared my childhood.

I find myself second-guessing everything I consider writing here. This stuff’s permanent. Probably not a bad thing in the long run. Higher quality to noise ratio when things cannot be deleted and it costs at least a nominal amount to post.

Is this the first recipe on Peepeth??!?! I dub this the (un)official drink of the Peeple! Sorry, best I can do... Bevan has to do all "official" endorsements ;-)

Find a way to add some booze and I’m in.
